Apparently there's an Italian restaurant in town that offers a plate called the Stallone: It's a sausage with two meatballs on either side.

How quaint.

And I am home from barber and Staples and I missed most of the rain. I have no complaints at the moment.

HA!  We had a rehearsal without our leading lady last night.....did some scene work....and ran all of the sound/light cues.  We were done by 8:30 p.m.

Beth has a voice today.....so we shall see what happens.  OPENING NIGHT.   :D

Of course we are under a flood watch.....so I diagrammed the parking plan for the cast/crew and sent it to them all.....

I hope the audience is ready for us.  We did get the front page of the paper yesterday....and made 30 telephone reservations.....

Fr. Richard must really feel lousy.  He just sent an email to the church in Lima telling them he won't be there Sunday.

I'm awake and sneezing. I took a night off from overmedicating on allergy meds. Am likely to pay for it today.

I awoke this morning with my voice sounding gravelly and about an octave lower than it normally does.  That's not good.  I had better NOT be coming down with a cold!  >:(

Today I'm driving out to a couple of Barneses and Nobleses for some 50%-off Criterions.  We don't have a full-service B&N here in town, so I hop over to the Hudson Valley which is always a beautiful drive -- and dramatic, on a day like this with thunderstorms rolling in and out.

The Olympia Barnes & Noble doesn't have DVDs at all. :P

Thanks, everyone.

HA.....I told this story here before, but it always makes me laugh.  Brando wanted to play Mark Antony in the movie, so he sent producer John Houseman a tape of him reading the soliloquy.

Houseman listened to it and then asked his secretary: "Why is June Allyson sending me this?"
