Too bad the rock star didn't join your Kritzerland Indiegogo campaign - that probably would have put you over the top!

Good morning, all!

It's going to rain very soon, probably just as I leave to see my barber.

When I return from Rockefeller Center and the barber, I will stop at Staples, get scans of four pages of fixes for Gentlemen, Be Seated! and email them to Dan. If it's raining, I'll do it tomorrow.

Last night I had several peculiar dreams, of which I remember little, except that BK was in one of them, and in another Faith Prince and I were singing (? ? ?) an endless medley with an orchestra conducted by Rob Berman for some benefit , and neither of us had memorized it.

After reading BK's post about Eric Clapton, I was thinking that I had met him. I was wrong; it was Pete Townshend, who signed my copy of the Broadway version of TOMMY.

At this very moment, it is actually cooler outside than it is inside with the air conditioning on.  That will, of course, change in a few minutes once the sun is up all the way.

I'm awake and sneezing. I took a night off from overmedicating on allergy meds. Am likely to pay for it today.

Thanks, TCB, for the Susan Gordon reminder. I knew I'd seen her and didn't make the connection while watching the movie. She was very good in "Five Pennies."

Following a few allergy-light weeks, today I am sneezing like a sumbitch.

Today I'm driving out to a couple of Barneses and Nobleses for some 50%-off Criterions.  We don't have a full-service B&N here in town, so I hop over to the Hudson Valley which is always a beautiful drive -- and dramatic, on a day like this with thunderstorms rolling in and out.

Just snorted some Flonase.  Might have to pop a Benadryl, too.  One of those days, man.

So, yes, it's true -- today we're getting even more of the rain the West and Northwest so desperately need.

TOD - In addition to the ones named already, i recall really being intrigued by the performances of Dean Martin and Stella Stevens in "The Silencers" when i was very young.  I think it was in the day when most movie theaters in Brooklyn seemed to show a double feature, and we were there for the other movie, but stayed for "The Silencers."

Thursday morning greetings!  After 2 mornings in a row of having to be up and outta here, I'm enjoying a slow start with a 3rd cup of coffee.  I was still up about 7, but I've finished catching up on the local news sections from the papers that accumulated when we were away and with this past Sunday's New York Times.
