And now the question of the day for DR MBARNUM:

What, I am horrified to ask, are Erik Estrada and Henry Winkler doing at the Marriott?

They will be guests at the Ray Courts Hollywood Show that Laurie Mitchell is also a guest at. I think Laurie and I will switch tables with someone so that we can sit next to Erik Estrada! Last time we secretly switched tables with Ann Robinson so that we could have a more room. LOL! She never knew! Ha!

It's hard to believe someone could go inside your purse and find just your wallet and you would not notice.

It's a standard "dip" technique - women often clutch their handbag straps firmly - stealing the whole purse draws immediate attention. A clever dip can unfasten a purse and snatch a wallet in a single smooth pass.

I just finished watching this movie, which I recorded off of TCM the other night....

Wow, what a good movie! I now have a new favorite actor...Chris Warfield...he plays a police officer who shoots and kills 14 year old, and what happens to him afterwards. Quite a good actor.

You do "previously used" very nicely :D

Some stupid oaf at the CBS affiliate here forgot to flip the HD switch for the first half hour, so I watched the first half in standard definition before he woke up and switched it over to the HD feed from CBS.

Our local COMCAST cable company uses separate channels for normal network broadcast and HDTV network broadcast.

Furthermore, and most amusingly, I was then told that the second president of the organization had suspended the by-laws and everyone voted with him to do so - which means, effectively, there are no current in effect by laws.

No biggie - unless you gather monies - then the CA Secretary of State will care a great deal!

Wouldn't ABBATOIR be a great name for a show?  That way, you'd be near the beginning of the ABC listing (unless someone else has a show called AARON THE AARDVARK or something like that).

The AAA Travel Show!

ABBATOIR sounds like a sequel to Chess or Mamma Mia!

Can't stay awake to catch up, but it was so wonderful to meet Lar, Ben Ant and Jose at the film. That was the best part of tonight (apart from a congratulatory phone call from Van Dyke Parks, who plans to come to the LA screening.)

Todays fire: The flames erupted just about a block from the 60-year-old Smoke House restaurant in Burbank.
