Good Morning!  Good Afternoon!

I'm up, I'm up... And, of course, the handyman did not come back this morning to repair my window.  Again.  *However, since I really wanted/needed to sleep in, that wasn't such a bad thing after all.

DR Matthew - I meant to comment on the restoration of your hearing last night... A small black eraser?!?!?!?!?  WOW!!!

-And that's my comment.  However, it's good to know that you were able to get your problem/mystery solved.

DR td - I thought the CD for Lorna Luft's tribute show to her mother came out a few years ago?  I think I even have a copy somewhere.  -She performed the show at the University of Richmond a couple of years ago.  It was sort of in conjunction with her appearance as Mama Rose in their production of Gypsy.  She was a guest artist for a semester.

Back from a lovelier than lovely breakfast with our own dear reader Jeanne - we went to the Westway Diner which, I must say, has the cheapest breakfast prices anywhere.  You can get a double fried egg sandwich for two bucks.  I had the eggs benedict, which were certainly decent and Jeanne had French toast.

I have some important work to do for a while, then I'll be available for whatever meals and/or playtime is in store.

Jeanne had French toast.

Because they don't serve tuna sandwiches before lunchtime?

OH!  I just looked up the info for the show you saw, Petite Rouge: A Cajun Red Riding Hood.  I know that show!  It was done in DC, well, in Bethesda, MD, at one of my old stomping grounds, Imagination Stage/Bethesda Academy for the Performing Arts (BAPA).  And it was written by Joan Cushing who I think still moonlights as "Mrs Foggybottom" - sort of a male counterpart to Mark Russell.

Just saw this joke which did make me laugh out loud.

Ahmadinejad says there are no homosexuals in Iran, which explains the pathetic state of their musical theater.

And I think I'm going to get ready to head out for the day.  And my day will include a few hours over at the New Amsterdam theatre observing the Mary Poppins rehearsal this afternoon.

However, after rehearsal is done at 5:00, I'm up for whatever anyone else is up for.

OH!  DR Cason - I misread the ACL rehearsal schedule - well, I was a day ahead.  No rehearsal until tomorrow.  Sorry.   ;)

I would if I could, but the lunch is a "Birthday" lunch for me and one other co-worker whose birthday was this month.

Well, then at least eat your lunch in your skivvies then... with the Mickey & Judy Box in your man-bag.

It was indeed Petite Rouge and we both really enjoyed it.  It's a very cute show (the guy who was playing the 'gator - in this story the substitute for the Big Bad Wolf - was so much fun).  The costumes were fantastic, and couple with the lighting they used, it showed you don't have to have big sets to create the world.

Even, in the midst of it being a billed as a children's theatre show, my mom and I had a great time.

I think everybody ought to get the box, and then we synchronize our watches in each time zone so that everybody here is watching the same Mickey-Judy movie at the same time.

Then we'll all come back here and discuss!

...And at the same we start the movies, we can put on the soundtrack to the Wizard of Oz and discover how they eerily sync up at key moments.
