Well...damn.

But if you time your appearance at the stage door before the show... And since it's Thursday that means it is payday, so I would have a semi-legitimate reason for stopping by the theatre before the show.  -Of course, since I wasn't on ACL payroll last week, well... Just sayin'.  ;)

I'm out of Diet Coke again - I've been buying single bottles because I don't want to leave stuff in the apartment after I've gone.  I may take another two boxes to Fed Ex today and get that out of the way.  That's all I'll have to ship back, and my suitcase should be suitably light for the trip home.

Great Photos!  It's nice to see Miss Karen and Jeanne.  (And the rest of you, but I haven't seen too many photos of Miss Karen and Jeanne).  I'm really looking forward to meeting the HHW people I haven't met and just to be in NYC.   I'm about to close the office until October 2.   The message is on the phone and on the door (in Spanish and English).   Sam should be leaving Estherville any time so that gives me 2 hours to clean up the house for the cat sitter.

OH... And there's a special screening of Otto Preminger's movie version of "Porgy and Bess".  And Preminger biographer, Foster Hirsch, ("Otto Preminger - The Man Who Would Be King") will be introducing the film tonight too.

DR Jose, when will you be around ACL tomorrow?  If we're on time, we may be heading over that way in the afternoon.

I will actually be at Mary Poppins tomorrow afternoon.  However, you could stop by there right after rehearsal... And if you wanted to see the stage of the Schoenfeld, I could take you there too.

the handyman did not come back this morning to repair my window.

If he had shown up, would you have serenaded him with a quick rendition of "Love, Look in My Window"?

DR George – very jealous of your 8-Mar-08 “date” with SJS.  Congratulations!  I hear he is a close and personal friend of our very own bk.

Thanks!!  I can't wait!!!

Just out of curiousity, didn't ANYbody watch "Life" last night?

I don't know about anyone else, but I didn't watch it.  It's just one show that, as interesting as it may seem, I don't think I'll have time for. :-\

I really enjoyed hearing/reading/seeing pictures of the NYC festivities last night.

But I must say i feel like complete and utter crap.  I think i have the worst immune system. My 2 yr old niece has an ear infection/fever. And last night i was in so much pain. My throat was killing like it was on fire (this never happens to me). But worse i had a fever of 102.5. I never have fevers like that. And it was freaking me out becuase i didn't know what to do and it was night.

I took a cold shower and even took ibuprofen (to reduce fever) and it just kept getting higher.  I went to the doctor this morning. And she said everyone seems to be catching whatever this is. She gave me a stepe test (rapid part came back negative).  So now i just have to wait. But my gosh it hurts like all heck!

~~~SUPER GET WELL VIBES FOR DR JENNIFER!!~~~
Now...I must shower, shave, dress, put my sister's birthday present in my car (it's a circular, metal fire-pit holder thing...I'll take a picture or two) and go to work.  Until later! :D
DR George, I think you should test drive it - set it up in the middle of the library and let her rip!
You don't seem to have the indigent problem at your library that DR Ginny does, so marshmallow-toasting probably won't be a problem...
If DR George's library is anything like mine, it might not even be noticed!
DR Ginny - right about now, DR Miss Karen has finished her monkey bread...as well as mopping and waxing the floor of your apartment, in preparation for your arrival...
On to the windows after lunch.
DR Matthew - I meant to comment on the restoration of your hearing last night... A small black eraser?!?!?!?!?  WOW!!!
-And that's my comment.  However, it's good to know that you were able to get your problem/mystery solved.
DR Matthew, are you sharpening pencils with your ear?  Stop it.  You will hurt yourself.
I just finished the piece!  I'm taking a minute at the computer before I run down to the copyists.
