I had to make a corner bodega trip. I ran into my neighbor Judy, the wife of jazz pianist Mark Soskin. She was picking up things for a flight today to Dallas, where Mark was performing there and who's has been hospitalized with a health issue. I hope he's okay. They're really wonderful neighbors.

On my upper half I layered my warmest Cuddle Duds top, a heavy sweatshirt with a hood, a warm vest, a warm coat. I wore a heavy fleece scarf & a nice fleece hat with ear flaps and it was 40 (4.4c) degrees out though the chill factor made it seem like 36 (2.2c) degrees.I was wondering how you could wear so little clothing until you said it was only for 5 minutes

But for us 36F is warm. I wouldn't even need a hat. The frigid temps actually weren't too bad. It wasn't windy.
