TOD: The Pirates of Penzance (I think the movie version is wonderful, even if the staging and the film of the Central Park staging is superior)

When I was a kid, I remember liking "Swashbuckler." I wonder if I would nowadays.

Outside of the Errol Flynn swashbucklers, not much else comes to mind.

Jose, the dinner sounds great. I love it, too, when, on top of a good meal, the bathroom is even impressive.

My physical exam tomorrow was with the wrong doctor, because my insurance company is a fool. So, my physical is now in May. Jesus!

Richard has been outside supervising the AAA guys who were taking the flat tire off my car and putting the spare on.  Shortly, we'll take it to our tire place so they can do what they have to do while we're in the Dayton 'burbs for my appointment.

Bye for now!

And...

Chef Gabrielle Hamilton not only signed the menu for my friend, David, but she even asked to rub my hair/head! -And I let her!

;D

Why?  Does good luck come to whoever rubs a fairy's head?

I think it's an Irish custom.

Did anyone but me watch MILDRED PIERCE last night? I thought it was really well done. It's certainly different from the Crawford movie.

Here is a nice article from the NY Times about former child star and youngest Tony Winner

Daisy Eagan

Sounds like she could use the polish of a BK for her show.

We don't have cable so I/we didn't watch it. I was also still tinkering with the computer. That's what happens when you're a geek (not the chicken head biting kind but the other kind).

Anthony did watch the remake of Stepford Wives on This Network. Oy, it's still as bad as I remember it. He then switched over to Channel 50 (NJN Public Television) and watched the last hour of Charade w/the always gorgeous Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant

Can't believe I forgot "The Pirate," one of my all-time favorites.

Here's a great swashbuckler cartoon for the day:

That's a great article, Ben.  And here in Olympia, Capital Playhouse is doing The Secret Garden right now and I'm going to see it on Wednesday.  I love this show!

Watching Yogi is time consuming.  I don't have the time today.  I'm glad Craig will be home tonight.  I could use some safe and easy travel vibes for him.  I can't go to bed until he is home & his flight isn't due in until 11:00PM.  I need my sleep as I need to get up early tomorrow.

I just ran into the neighbor above me and had a short but good chat; all is revealed: he's a bartender.

I'm just happy to know he's not a vampire.

Thank you, DR Jane.  Dr. Jain said all my tests are conclusively good and I don't have to go back to see him for a year!

Travel vibes for your DS Craig!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned "Jaws" yet - a wonderful classic.
I didn't think "Waterworld" was nearly as bad as everyone said it was. It's definitely a case of managing expectations. I kept hearing it was so terrible I had no choice but be pleasantly surprised when I finally saw it on cable TV.

Hi Amy.

I liked Waterworld.
