From the Arizona Poet Notate:

They said we should be quiet.
They said we shouldn't yell.
But they backed us
In a cactus
And I hollered like hell.

Is anyone besides me watching the USA Network BURN NOTICE?  I'm really enjoying it.

No, but I just set TIVO to record the pilot & the following 3 episodes.  I like the cast.

Have you watched 3 episodes so far or more?

I am (almost) offically stumped by the trivia question.

And here I assumed you were the correct answer that had been received.   :o

Seeing DearREader Laura's photographs (Thanks Laura) reminds me - DP and I watched "Pan's Labyrinth" last night.  What a wonderful movie.

Quite possibly my favorite film of last year. . .

Kinda like a bird walk. Only then you go for a walk and look for birds.

Didn't Cliff Richard go on walks looking for birds?
Didn't The Beatles go on walks looking for birds?
Didn't Johnny O'Keefe go on walks looking for birds?

I am working my way through the Joan Collins box.  Wait - I don't like the sound of that.  I'm watching the Joan Collins films contained in the Joan Collins box.  I do find it a bit odd that they even did a Joan Collins box.  So far I've watched The Girl In The Red Velvet Swing and Rally 'Round The Flag Boys.  I may watch Seven Thieves next, or Coppola's The Rainmaker, which I've never seen - I'm sure it's dreadful, but maybe I'll be surprised.

Who thought Joanne Woodward could be funny in Rally Round the Flag, Boys?

The Max Shulman novel was massa-kreed....as they say....but there are some funny bits....Tuesday Weld and Dwayne Hickman always play well with each other.

Toilet Cleaning Instructions:

1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.

2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.

3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids. You may need to stand on the lid

4. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this.

5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a "power-wash" and "rinse".

6. Have someone open the front door of your home. Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door.

7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids.

8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom, and run outside where he will dry himself off.

9. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean.

    Sincerely,
    The Dog

I've watched those two as well.  Evelyn Nesbit grew up a few blocks from where I grew up, she was reared in Tarentum, PA (which is mispronounced in GitRVS) while I was reared in Brackenridge, Pa - of course we were many decades apart!  Ms. Nesbit served as a technical advisor on the film , which could account for a lot of its "niceness."  I like Farley Granger's, and Ms. Collins' performances; Ray Milland is bland and not dangerous at all - give me Norman Mailer as Stanford White. . .
