DeepDiscount DVD seems to be working again after DR DtM broke it.

Pretty flimsy website to go down with just one click, if you ask me.

In any event, I will now be able to order the first four seasons of ALL IN THE FAMILY for the price of just two.

Today is the anniversary of AITF's prime-time debut.  It's also BATMAN's.  But that's not yet on DVD.

Yummity yum yum

Yummity yum yum
Talk about animal abuse!  Putting that poor little lamb on a rack, turning the wheel and torturing the poor little creature.

I can hear the pleading, terrified bleats now!!

BAAAAHHHH!!!  BAAAAHHHH!!!  BAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!

DVD's - The Illusionist and The Night Listener are on the waiting stack.

Book - Currently reading Michael Pollan's The Botany of Desire.  Finished the first section, about apples, particularly about how apple trees have sex and what the results are.  Fascinating stuff.

Does anyone here know of a film called "The Night Digger"?

It was a British film, starring Patricia Neal and Nicholas Clay.

Very disturbing, as I recall.

For a switch, I'm having no problems with posting/updating here at HHW, but loads of problems elsewhere.

Just as well, as I've got stuff to do before I head to work.

But, just for fun, check out these lists of Oscar Wishfulls from the guys at the NYT.  We can even make a game of it:

BK - Were the new Last Starfighter orders from the Washington DC/Virginia area by any chance?  This had appeared in a recent DC online publication (see 4th paragraph).

I was thinking that MONK and PSYCH started the second half of their seasons tonight, but it's next week that they start up again. Reruns on USA tonight.

However, NBC and CBS have new episodes of their line-ups on tonight. I must try to remember to either watch or record LAW & ORDER tonight since it totally slipped my mind last week.

Yea!  I never watched "Monk" but I loved "Psych."  I hadn't heard anything about when this was coming back, so thanks for mentioning it! ;D

Erin has cut my hair for 13 years....and that's the longest business association I've had with anyone other than the U.S. Navy.

Giorgio cut my hair for over 20 years. In fact, until this year, he was the only person to ever cut it because 20 years ago it was always very long...below my waist.

He worked in Buckhead, the most expensive part of Atlanta, and his clients (apart from us) were mostly wealthy Republicans. (He alaways gave us an "indie artist" discount.) He told me that if Bush was relected he was leaving the country...he couldn't face another 4 years of keeping his political opinions to himself. (we always whispered when talking politics.) So after all those years, I had to find another hairstylist. (Not that my hair has a "style"...)

Fortunately, the guy who bought his shop is wonderful, so I didn't have to look very far!

My favorite thing to do in an elevator when someone is talking on a cell phone is to sing.

I didn't think cell phones worked in elevators. Great idea!
