Has anyone seen the Judi Dench-Cate Blanchette NOTES ON A SCANDAL yet? It's just opened here today. Got terrific reviews, and since those two actresses are so talented, I'll bet it'd be worth seeing.

I was thinking that MONK and PSYCH started the second half of their seasons tonight, but it's next week that they start up again. Reruns on USA tonight.

However, NBC and CBS have new episodes of their line-ups on tonight. I must try to remember to either watch or record LAW & ORDER tonight since it totally slipped my mind last week.

You can tear a poster from the wall if no one is looking.

DR JRand56, you would qvell over the display of costumes olates, posters and other ephemera that decorate the theatre.  The scariest? Liza Minelli as Luisa!

SR JoseS, the tickets are mine.  Be my guest.

I have to run downtown for a moment now; my USPS package of "Ther Brain" just arrived.  I need to run to 14th Street, and then get back to listen to the CD.

Call me after 1 pm.

One of my gay rights advocate friends sent me an angry letter about its psycho lesbian theme, but my lesbian friends enjoyed the film.  Who's to know?

Psycho lesbian movies are my favorite.  Second only to psycho lesbian vampire movies.

Good Morning! Once again!

The car is moved back.  I'm showered and dressed, and not it is time to head down to Ripley-Grier to play some auditions.

DR elmore - I'll call you on my break.  Count me in, otherwise.  :)

Hello, all!

Been outa touch for awhile... recovering from my marathon weekend Psych course last weekend. Excellent, but always grueling.

Nothing in the ol' CD player, nothing in the DVD player. I have wads of reading for this course - and much of it is pretty dense.

Interviewing a school today, about an accellerated BA program, which I could finish by August - that does offer credit for professional work, and credit by exam, in addition to the 30 minimum credits one MUST take through their school... I'm okay with that. But I'm heading down in a bit to ask the questions and see the Dean about my case. Just can't sit in lower division required classes for 6 quarters... these folks can actually WAIVE Freshman English and beginning Eng. Comp... we'll see...

It would be worth using my home equity line of credit to get it over with, and use this Psych Masters program for an actual Masters Degree...

Or not.

Last night's "Ugly Betty":

SPOILER

I really hated what Sophia did to Daniel.   And I hate it that they didn't let Betty warn Daniel.  He didn't have to believe Betty (love being blind, and all that), but it would have sealed their bond of trust.

The INS worker and Betty's father -- what a HOOT!

I would've thought it would have been Chris Ruth's Steak House on that side of the Mississippi.

I envy DRs Elmore and Jose:

Tonight, they'll hear Matt sing about "until my mouth was parch-ed."

It was always fun to hear the audience react to "parch-ed."

A week from tomorrow after Erin, my hair shall be kempt.

I don't have the longevity with Erin that BK has with Mister Teddy.  But, Erin has cut my hair for 13 years....and that's the longest business association I've had with anyone other than the U.S. Navy.

I certainly wish I had the dilemma of either depositing a check for $8.7 million or not being allowed to work until I did deposit it.

I have to say up front that I am appalled by the recent news that the military's service time limits have been eliminated.

This move is going to prove extremely harmful to morale.  It's one thing to be sent to Iraq, knowing you have to serve 12 months and then will get a break.

It's quite something else to learn you're going to be sent to Iraq and have no predictable return time...unless it's in a body bag.

Very BADLY thought out, BADLY BADLY BADLY.

It's a seriously moronic step (in a series of moronic steps) perpetrated upon the less than 1% of the U.S. population who serve in the armed forces.

SHAME on US!
