I'm also giving her my set of china from when I got married.  She actually picked out the pattern (long story).  I like it, but it's never been my favorite.  She said "Oh, I always liked that"  (Well hello, you picked it out).  So I'm giving it to her.

I've got both breakfast and dinner plans on Sunday, so I'm not spending the night at the lake.

Dublin?  As in Ireland?  Or is there another one hidden away in Ohio?

DR TCB, there is a Dublin, OH - a suburb of Columbus.

I think it will be fun.  My mom knows a lot about all sorts of antiques.  There aren't a lot of antiques, but her friend had a set of candlewick dishes and mom and I both have candlewick, so we're going to see what sort of shape they are in and may bid on them

Plus, i've gotten some great furniture buys at auctions.  She had a game table and chairs that my mom thinks are really nice.

This means I'll have to leave the house at 7:00 am or earlier.  I like that actually because I get there about the time everyone is starting their day.  It's almost the same as going up the night before, but my bed is more comfortable, lol.   Adam, Sundee, Gabe, Cat Hazel Penelope Roo and Dog Molly will roll in around noon

Thanks Laura, I think so.  Mom wants me to spend the night, but it's just a lot easier to come home.

I can't believe school starts here on August 17 or 18 this year.  That's just crazy!

Of course I don't have to worry about it, but that seems awfully early to me

It seems to me we either started after Labor day or at least around Aug 28.

Thanks for the Attack of the Puppet People pictures. Now that I have Netflix, I may have to get that.

Went to a food truck throwndown or roundup tonight. Thirty different food trucks and surprisingly a lot of foods I could eat, including naked wings, pork belly, carnitas, braised short ribs, Pakistani beef, shrimp ceviche on pork rinds, calamari. Vegetables and salads are in fairly short supply at these trucks.

Speaking of BBQ, today I got a certificate of participation that stated I was a judge in the worlds largest barbeque pork cooking contest.  What a fun thing.  I did do the people's choice where you rate the BBQ.  I never expected a certificate that looks so official.  I'm going to frame it and hang it at the office

Thanks John G. It's been 2 1/2 months since I was there, so it was really a surprise.   And I think it's really funny it arrived two weeks after I did my pulled pork....which really did turn out well.  I will do that again

TOD:

DVD:
THE LITTLEST HOBO which was sent to me this week by Miss Dorothy Johnson who stars in the film.

Two George Martin spaghetti westerns that I keep meaning to watch. Since I will be dog sitting all weekend, that should keep me home and in front of the TV for most of that time.

CD:
NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL ARABIA vol. 7

DVR:
This weeks episodes of HAPPILY DIVORCED and HOT IN CLEVELAND

Is this The Littlest Hobo that was two different television series from Canada. One in 60's and the other in the 80's (or was it the 70's?)

There's a great Custer LaRue CD of British-Irish drinking songs called Watkins Ale.  I haven't listened to it for ages.

Got my story written on all the food truck food I shouldn't have eaten. Now I can listen to a little more "Count of Monte Cristo." I've made to disc 35. I feel I can't stop, though I will have to tonight.
