Good Afternoon!

The taping of "Anderson" was fun.  It was taped for future broadcast, so according to the fine print I'm not supposed to talk about it until it airs. -Which I think will happen sometime in the latter half of next week. But I will say that Anderson Cooper spends a lot of time with the audience before the show, during the commercial breaks and afterwards. He actually did a 15-minute Q&A after the taping was done.

Did you ask him out?

No. But I usually see him in the East Village on the weekends anyway. ;)

A very very very (that is three verys) handsome man.

I received a wonderfully wonderful e-mail from Robert A. Harris, the premiere restoration expert.  He'd been very helpful with his advice during the whole Nudie transfer - very gracious and very sweet and I gave him a thank you for it.  He watched the disc last night and was so complimentary about the transfer - it really made me happy.  He basically said that we got right what studios frequently get wrong and that the result was like seeing a pristine print of the film.

Nice compliment!!!

DS Zach informs me this is old news (no pun intended), but Amanda Green just posted it on Facebook and it made me LOL:

That is funny.

CHIX 6.

I am intrigued.

Full report at 11!

My friend Chris Darling just sent me the news that he's one of the producers for a new Perry Mason film starring Robert Downey. That's quite a change from Raymond Burr, but I wish him a success with it.

LOL!  Larry, are you thinking of Raymond Burr from his Ironside or Perry Mason remake days?

Here's Raymond Burr in the original Perry Mason days, before the big weight gain:

Had my car serviced today. Other than routine servicing, no work needed to be done and the total cost came to the equivalent of $170. Which is quite a contrast to last year's bill of $1,500!

That is great!  I waited over 2 1/2 hours to get my car back only to find out what it will cost to have the oil leak repaired.  They said 2 days of work for $2,100.  I think I need another estimate.

If they were doing a remake of IRONSIDES, I could audition for the role.

That is one good review!

I am back from lunch with my favorite Broadway star, Mr Ron Raines, who now knows all about my DC trip and the personnel involved, and now I know all about the FOLLIES cast recording. Our waitress was my lovely goddaughter Charlotte Raines.

I know who received a good tip. ;)

I won and asylum hearing today.  My client is 16.  I think he may have committed suicide if they had sent him home.  Needless to say, I am thrilled.

I wish him the very best!!

Great news, Cillaliz. What about the rest of his family? Would they have been deported, too? Or would he have been deported alone?

His dad is still here and has a hearing set in 2015.  He's got a different attorney and very little chance to stay here after that.  His mother is back in his home country.  I'm not at liberty to discuss the grounds at this point, he had the courage to tell me and the court, but not to tell his parents.  I'm sure many of you can guess.  It was a pro bono case and well worth it.

I hope by then the son will be able to ok on his own.

I guess NBC likes cancelling their new shows. First Playboy Club. And now Free Agent.

Good.  I love Hank Azaria, but that show sucked.

We didn't make it through the first episode.

TOD:

I love the EARTH VS THE SPIDER soundtrack CD (with the partial ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE soundtrack)

...and Guy Haines (Haines His Way) and the Cinderella one...

and the soundtrack to TWO FOR A SEESAW...

These are the BK produced CDs that I listen to most often.

If you got the role you could afford to find a doctor to fix you.  I wish you could audition.

He'll be close to 20 by the time his dad has his hearing.   He's not concerned about being on his own then.

It's REALLY windy here and dry.  There are fires burning in fields in a number of areas.  It's pretty scary.

Laverne and Shirley, of course, began life on a series of Happy Days episodes, hence his confusion.

And Diana Canova was on an episode or two of "Happy Days," too.

Who said she wasn't?

No one...just wanted to share. :)

Robin Williams made a couple of appearances as well....as Mork.   ;D

True...but he wasn't in "The First Nudie Musical," hence my reference to Diana Canova. :D

Our winds are close to 50mph right now. Hopefully we'll get rain tonight and tomorrow.  It's a possibility.  That would at least help with the fire threat
