I went to my first Lakers game recently. Oh my, it was like going to a rock concert!  So exciting. And I knew more about the team members than the guys sitting next to me. :)

I still don't know how I'm going to get myself to the Too Much Coffee Man Opera, but I'm determined to find a way.

I ordered a collection of songs by Charles Trenet, and nino Rota's "The Symphonic Fellini". I hope they arrive today. I am wondering where François is, too!

I believe that François withdrew himself from the Member List.

I am so glad I was listening to my "Voice of the Arts" station today and that Larry (the host) mentioned it, or I would have missed it.

I am sorry to hear that.  :'(

I heard La Strada and Charles Trenet on the same radio station that mentioned The Mikado.

Any opinions about the Eric Idle version? I've almost bought it a few times but never followed through.

I got a nice package in the mail from Francois several weeks ago...the bio of JACQUES BERGERAC. Of course it is in French, but I can look at all of the pretty pictures!

(I keep hoping the book will be out in English someday...after all the man had quite a career in the US, what with THE HYPNOTIC EYE and all)

It's a small mention, but here's the Village Theatre's first announcement of the LAST STARFIGHTER workshop.

Yea!  And Little Women[/u] is still playing!  I want to see that, since it was part of the readings when The Last Starfighter was, too. :D

TCB - From the Village theatre site:

"Single tickets are available for Village Originals Workshops and Developmental Productions. All other events, including the Annual Festival of New Musicals, Mondays at Seven are for Members only."

So, single tickets will be for sale (I'm sure they'll be very reasonable) for the workshop.  Just that members get in free.

It was only for the Annual Festival and Mondays at 7 that tickets were Members only.

I would suggest you be constructive and take a French course, but I know how futile that would be.

Cillaliz, Sam Meranto just called me on the phone. My name was drawn for a free tv and hypnosis session because he wants to help me with depression or to make more money. What a swell guy!

(Cillaliz will remember him; he has the cheesiest tv commercials for hypnosis.)

"Sam Meranto. Sam Meranto. That's Sam Meranto."

Is it a mystery novel because it didn't enter and sign in?

Sorting though all my paperbacks is creating a big mess.  The mass paperbacks need to be bagged & moved out of the house.  Most of the others will go back on the shelves.  I want to move books around and make a section for books I don't really need to keep, just am to fill in space & look good.

When you have finished there, how would you like to come and take care of my books?

George, we also went to Costco today.  I purchased more books to read.

I don't normally enjoy marinated artichoke hearts.  I found I really like the ones at Costco, even better after I get remove the excess oil.  I just indulged in a plateful.
