DR FJL - I believe the proper "title" was "Legally Boned".

I don't believe I have that video.

"Don't you think it needs a little salt?"

"Mother, please!  I'd rather do it myself!"

Sure you have a headache.  But why take it out on her?  Take Anacin.....

I always loved the Alka-Seltzer "No matter what shape your stomach's in..." commercials.

Just because the number of reported cases seems to have dwindled, don't let your guard down:

Don't catch the "Hiney (H1N1) Flu"!

The Christmas commercials for Anheuser-Busch featuring the Clydesdales always get me going.

And I love the Coca-Cola "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing" Christmas commercials.

Good morning, everyone.

I've been a bit under the weather lately, but it's been wonderful weather to be under! (Ambiguous, yes?)

Has anyone seen THIS commercial for Dex phone books?  The actor playing the son has also been in a Progressive Insurance commercial and another commercial where he's holding a baby, and he was on a few episodes of a TV series where he had a speech impediment (for comedic effect) but I don't remember what the show was.  Anyway, I think he looks like a very young BK!  Does anyone else think so?

Yes, I can see it. If I saw this actor on the street, no, he doesn't look like young BK. But I can see some of BK's mannerisms in the commercial.

And was anything more infectiously joyful than the Dr. Pepper commericals with David Naughton

DR TCB - On the loss of your role model and mentor... {{{{{TOM}}}}} And, just remember, now he'll be watching over you. And probably always has in one way or another.

What a nice thought! I hope that's exactly what happens.

Hugs to TCB. And I'm pleased you had him as a mentor. What a special thing.

The past few days in Chicago - coupled with my time in Charleston - have been very inspiring, motivating and renewing.  There have been some wonderful moments over the past couple of days which have reminded me, "Jose", what I have been, what I am, and what I could be and should be.

So many possibilities.

Oh, yes, Jose. I see MANY possibilities for you. I suspect that most of us here do so.

A clarification from yesterday:

"Monkey" is just "Monkey".  Just like "Cher" is "Cher, and "Madonna" is "Madonna". ;)

Is that specified in Monkey's contract? (What a cheeky little diva!) Does Monkey demand only green M&Ms, Perrier Water and a private trailer when you go on your photo shoots?

I had the impression that Monkey was a quiet, undemanding sort. Of course, I could be wrong.

Jane, yes, there is a DF&H#3, who even has a DS and DD! Alas, I expect it will be a while before I have "permanent" housing.

DF&H#3, BTW, is someone I grew up with and she definitely remembers Bruce.

We've Only Just Begun was one of my faves, as was Clearosil's It Won't Hurt To Try It - both became pop songs, although the former became a standard while no one but me remembers the latter.  Several people recorded the latter, though, including my pal Michael Burns, and, wait for it, Jim Nabors.

TOD - The commercials for Hershey's Kisses in which the kisses are figure skating to "The Skater's Waltz" in one and ringing handbells to "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" in the other.  The people who designed those put in a lot of detail that made them true to the activities represented.

Also, there was a radio commercial in 1972-73 for United Airlines that started out with a rehearsal piano and a guy's tired voice saying, "OK, girls, we're gonna tap our little hearts out for United Airlines."  Then the voice over with the piano and tapping and singing underneath.  At the end, the tired guy says, "Higher, girls, higher."  And they sing, "Uni-ted Air-lines," an octave higher.  I'd time my drive to grad school just to be able to hear that on WJR, Detroit.  I think they also had a TV version that wasn't as funny.

Forgive me for this question (but you have to understand I'm a most E and T HHWayer) -- it's not meant to insult Monkey, I honestly don't recall gleaning this info from past posts:

Is Monkey a she Monkey or a he Monkey?

Monkey is a "stuffed" toy and has no gender.

Gee, where have we heard this old tune before...?

Gosh!  Where?

I've read in another forum that NBC has renewed CHUCK and MEDIUM (plus LAW AND ORDER and SOUTHLAND).  This has probably already been noted here, but it was "new" to me.

Monkey is DR Jose's Monkey.  Does that answer your question?
