What a shock!

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are divorcing!

I guess the time limit on the contract expired.

Yep, I guess so.  The five years were up.

Interesting...Nicole had 10 years before her contract expired.

;)

I guess Katie wasn't that desperate to have an international career!

Well, I just heard Prologue/Beautiful Girls in our new mix - I could not believe what I heard - the clarity and detail is amazing, the vocals pop now, orchestral details that were buried are suddenly there, and the whole thing sounds smooth as silk compared to the original hastily-mixed version, where things just popped out in unseemly ways and vocals were occasionally behind the band instead of in front - I think this is going to be something incredible.

That's number three for Tom-Boy....Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman and now Katie.

Wonder what it is about Tom-Boy?

Do you think he has a new squeeze?

Should Oprah do a special and invite Tom-Boy to jump all over her furniture?

Well...harrumph....talk about things I didn't want to know but now that I know...EWWWW ...if you can stomach it, read to the end and then read some of the comments.

It's tackily high-larious and soberingly disturbing simultaneously.

Relax.   I've read at one site that this divorce took Tom-Boy by surprise.  He didn't see it coming.  Katie filed for "irreconcilable differences".

The 5:00 news coverage over the Holmes-Cruise mess was so fawning and ridiculous that I had to change stations before I vomited on the floor.

Where has this day gone?  Picked up the important envelope but no packages, then did some banking.  Now I'll shave and shower and then be on my way to sound check in an hour.

I've been watching the film WHITE COMMANCHE on TCM (UK) in which William Shatner's performance as a golden haired Commanche chief has to be seen to be believed - his idea of being villainous is to laugh hysterically like a maniac. But the other thing which really stands out as inappropriate and overstated is the jazzy score by Jean Ledrut. I've rarely heard a score that didn't match the film to such an extent before. Yes, I know he did THE TRIAL but he certainly wasn't the right composer for this film.

Here's a thought -- perhaps some day BK could unlock a few threads and let people go in and edit their posts -- removing the photos.

I don't know if that would help.  I think that the pictures would still be in the upload folder, but just no longer attached to our posts. :-\

Hmmm....going out to dinner tonight (it is payday, after all) with my buddy Jim...can't decide what we want or where we want to go.

I do want a chocolate dessert for sure, however.

Hello from Aida rehearsal.  The cast and I are on vocal overload this afternoon.  We've knocked out all of Act One and some of Act Two in 3 1/2 days.  The choreographer is routining something about a robe...LOL.  She's quite brilliant and I love her.  I read the Dear Edwina Jr. script to be ready for Monday and I really want to make a spreadsheet for the music but I can't seem to get Numbers on the iPad to do what I want it to.   Anyhow, almost done here for the day and then it's home to see the DD's and later, dinner at CPK with the DP.

HERE is an article about TomKat's impending divorce.

Quote
Updated 5:00 p.m.: According to a TMZ report, Tom Cruise’s involvement in the Church of Scientology is what ultimately led to Katie Holmes’ decision to divorce the actor.

The article claims Holmes has had growing concerns about daughter Suri’s involvement in the church now that she is nearing the age where children are introduced to the religion.

This point of contention is reportedly leading to the already “nasty” divorce details, which include Katie’s request for sole custody. In short, she doesn’t want Tom controlling Suri’s choice of religion.
