For those who asked: sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms.
And the word of the day is: CONTERMINOUS!
For those who asked: sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms.
I am satisfied now. My life is now full. ;)

My favorite so far: "I thought you brought the flag!" ;D
Forgive my ignorance, but can someone give me some basic information on ipods and MP3 players? Starting with maybe the difference between them? The preferred over the not so good. Stuff like that!

I guess I'm on my own.

Regardless of whether you choose an iPod or another portable music player, it's the headphones/ear-buds that seem to make or break the whole "experience". Sadly, the default ones for the iPod kind of suck. If you're serious about your listening, then just know that you'll probably want to invest in a good set of headphones or earbuds. In any case...
iPods can play MP3s, but not all MP3 players can play iTunes compatible files...
Well... On second thought, here's CNET's MP3 Player Buying Guide (http://reviews.cnet.com/mp3-player-buying-guide/?tag=rb_mtx;contentNav).
It's a Long Way to Tipperary...
I've already decided to stick with the first season of Lost and figured Mr. Bender would be along for the ride. Did J.J. Abrams at least stay with this series for a while? That's what happened on Alias - he left after season two, I think, and that show, despite an occasional good episode, really went to hell.
Sunday afternoon greetings. We have just come from the hospital, where John is quite unresponsive today. They were about to do an EEG and an MRI when we left. Mega-vibes would be appreciated.
Pins.
Did I miss something somewhere?
Clouding up here. Perhaps it will rain.
Singing in one of the 270,000 choruses in the U.S., such as a community chorus or a school or church choir, is strongly correlated with qualities that are associated with success throughout life, the study finds. Greater civic involvement, discipline, and teamwork are just a few of the attributes fostered by singing with a choral ensemble.
Send it here.
I was left out of the clique
I'm wondering if some stupid, ignoramus animal crawled somewhere and died from the heat, because it's starting to smell a little gross in here - it happened last year - never did find the sucker, but it didn't last all that long. Or maybe it's something else.
I like to do something nice for someone in honor of OzDerek on his birthday, but today has been church all morning. And it is hot outside now and I don't want to go out again. Whine.
This just in: singing in a chorus is good for you and good for your community as well (http://www.chorusamerica.org/about_choralsinging.cfm).QuoteSinging in one of the 270,000 choruses in the U.S., such as a community chorus or a school or church choir, is strongly correlated with qualities that are associated with success throughout life, the study finds. Umm, no. . .I think you were somewhere near Tacoma at the time. . .For those who asked: sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms.
Thank goodness, I thought you had fox on it!
No further word, Ginny?
I posted this last night, but I don't think TCB saw it.
Mostly Antonia and Elmore, with an appearance by Skip.

I will be pet-setting for two cats this coming week. I went over this afternoon to meet them and to get all of the logistics. They are very sweet.
The cats, that is. :)

It was DR TCB who let the cat out of the bag......via Wikipedia....where Parla & Co were talking about it.
The Walter Cronkite tribute on CBS was very nice. I'm glad I watched it
McCourt, who I worked with when I recorded The Irish... And How They Got That Way, was a really nice man.

How many years has June Kenney been missing?
It was on at 6:00 PM here

Oh, really?
And you can tell ME where the HELL are der Brucer and S. Woody White - I'm getting quite annoyed with them.
Thanks, DR Jane.

Woody has come down with the flu and I am pretending to be a nurse - if he doesn't eat something, I may take to force feeding. He is still recoverring from the present a dog left him the other day - one dead bunny on the couch.
Oh-oh - I hear the dead arising - time to do a food-temptation spell.
der Brucer
Well, since when has the flu stopped anyone from posting? We've had a lot worse than the flu around these here parts, and yet people come, people post, people tell us how they're doing, dead bunnies notwithstanding or notwithsitting.
And now, I'm off....
I've got me a dress to make.(http://blog.designpublic.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/pdvd_071.jpg)
John's youngest daughter just posted on FB that the EEG and CAT scan revealed no seizures or brain bleeds, but he's semi-comatose. So we wait...

DR Jose, what time is 60 Minutes on in your neck of the woods?
Ginny & Cilla watched it at 6:00 so I was curious. Thanks.
'night, off to watch 60 minutes or a movie from NetFlix.
DR Cilla I'm really craving a little of your homemade strawberry ice cream. Yes, I do have an ice cream maker. I even have a recipe for strawberry ice cream, or at least I used to. I just want a few bites, not enough to make it ;)
Next I watched my favorite HD-DVD: PRIDE & PREJUDICE. Always good to lose oneself in for a couple of hours, and it worked its magic on me yet again. Loved it.

I mentioned it the other day: Keira Knightley. No, it's not as complete or as "Austen" as the Jennifer Ehle/Colin Firth version, but you can get the basic story in two hours rather than the miniseries version so I generally watch it when I want to see P&P.
DR MATT
Where did you see the John Barrowman special?

I do like that one - but I really love the Colin Firth version - even Vixdad who is not a fan of P & P will sit and watch the Colin Firth version with me
I just like to sit and watch Colin Firth ;)
I ended my evening watching that John Barrowman special "The Making of Me" in which he tries to find out why he's gay. Pretty interesting stuff, and I love that he speaks in a Scottish brogue with his parents but not otherwise.

Depends how sick one is.
Please tell Woody I hope he feels better soon!
