At least we don't have "Gravy for the Mashed Potato".
I am off to visit the Post Oficce again. Maybe it's "Pony Time".

Maybe more later, says she.  And that is why we will achieve a new all-time low unless there is a sudden surge of postings, a veritable frenzy.

Good Evening!

BK talked about this matinee today, already, so...

As soon as I had packed up all my stuff at theatre and started walking up to Hollywood and Vine, I could just feel all the "stuff" of the past week catch up with me.  At first I thought I just needed some food.  Well, I got some food.  I felt a little better after getting something in my stomach and system, but still not as good as I thought I would/should feel.

Then came the Metro ride back... As soon as I sat down in the train, I almost started to nod off immediately.  Hmm.. I guess I must be tired.  Well, there was no guessing about it.  I was tired.

On the way back from the Metro, I stopped at Whole Foods just to pick up something a bit more substantial for my dinner.  Then it was back "home", ate my dinner, watched some of the Olympics... Then I woke up about an hour later in front of the TV.

And now I'm here...

So, now I'm listening to Verdi's I Vespri Sicialini (Ricardo Muti, conducting, recording) on the radio, and I'm trying to decide whether I should decide whether or not to plan my day tomorrow... Or just see what time I end up waking up and take it from there.  I do know that I have to take some time over the next two days to check on "real life" things that I may have overlooked over the past week or so - let's say, for instance: bills!  -ugh.  And if the mail gods are looking over me, the package that Steve sent from Richmond with about five weeks' worth of mail in it, should be here Tuesday morning... And it will most likely take me a few hours to go through all of that.

I also found out that two professional acquaintances of mine are appearing at the Hollywood Bowl this week.  I just sent e-mails out to them, and, hopefully, they'll be able to set me up with a ticket or two.  If not, I won't be too disappointed.  But if things work out, I will definitely be excited.  *Of course, the one program I'd really like to see and hear this week is Bernstein's "Mass" - which, of course, is on Thursday night... Hmmm.. Do I have an understudy?  ;)

-Just kidding, BK.

Really.

I like ONJ! I'm disappointed, though about two things:
1.  Her song "The Tree" used over the closing credits of IT'S MY PARTY wasn't Oscar nominated.
2.  Her DUETS album is STILL not available in the U S of A.

Speaking of The Hollywood Bowl, and DR Jose just was, are any dear readers planning to go to THE LORD OF THE RINGS SYMPHONY there, (did it already happen?) when Miss Susan Egan is the guest soloist?
I heard Sissel as the guest vocalist when Mr. Howard Shored conducted it here in Pittsburgh.

I really have nothing to say tonight, except that I sat outside and watched a swell dust and lightening storm. We got some much-needed rain.

I'm truly zonked for some reason. May try bed earlier than usual. If I can't get to sleep or if I sleep for an hour and wake up, I'll be back. Otherwise, g'night.
And if anybody - and you know who you are - calls me a wussburger, it's duel time.
