Well, you've read the notes, the notes had an inkling of some notes, and now it is time for you to post until the inkling of an idea cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: STELLATE!
-
Re the microwaving of the baked potato: I tried the five and five but it was just too much. I found another site with a different recommendation and that's what I tried and it worked perfectly. Four minutes, then turn over for another three-and-a-half. There IS a potato setting but I don't quite know how to punch it in - it's not just a button.
-
First post after BK.

Second post after BK!

We have been having numerous small earthquakes yesterday, up and down Washington and Oregon

We have been having numerous small earthquakes yesterday, up and down Washington and Oregon
I didn't know that! :o
-
Answer my question, boys!
All is well in Neve's world, jan. :)
-
So, last night, I watched the late evening news in hope that they would reassure us that these quakes were not a foreshadowing of The Big One. Instead, they put on this yo-yo professor from the University of Washington, who says, “Yes, any time you have a cluster of small quakes, it could mean we are ready for The Big One.”
-
Why would you tell the public that?
-
I said that Nicky had his late-night pain liquid.
-
And how are you guys?
-
So, now he is fine.
-
I’m okay. I will be better when this move is over.
-
And how are you guys?
I'm doing well...so far. ;)
-
How are YOU, jan?
-
I had hoped to get a new sofa and bed, today, but my friend Tracy backed out of going.
-
George, that sounds ominous. What is going on?
-
I will be better after my dentist visit tomorrow. he's gonna take out the stitches and make sure everything is okay.
-
Are you pain free now?
-
Tom, should I come help you pack? I'd love to see Tacoma.
-
I get twinges every once in a while but ibuprofen takes care of it.
-
No, thanks, I am fine. The helpers are all lined up.
-
Good grief, it is after 1:00 a.m. No wonder I am drifting off.
-
Good night, George.
-
Good night, jan.
-
George, that sounds ominous. What is going on?
Nothing's going on! I don't mean it to sound ominous!
-
As long as you're okay, I will say g'night. cuddle Neve.
-
As long as you're okay, I will say g'night. cuddle Neve.
Everything's fine, thanks. Good night.
-
And good night, Tom.
-
Oh, look! It's Page Two!
-
Well, jan, I need to be going to sleep.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
BK, it's hard to believe that trip to Roscoe's was 25 years ago! My mind still functioned then.
-
DR TCB, when's the date for the actual move?
I send all my best vibes - after those I need in court tomorrow - for your successful move. Please send your new address.

After finishing up last night's posts, I want a baked potato! I was thinking that you might roll the baked potato on a hot griddle to crisp up the skin.
So many of the Idahos I buy in New York are loaded with dark spots. They freak me out.
-
I've got a little bit of How To Succeed . . . work on the Act Two full scores, a number to work on for the Y show, and a few pewrsonal matters to attend to this morning.
-
Thatch and Stella are getting along pretty well. He's no longer running from her.
Last night, when she jumped on him, he fought back, slapped her a few times, and when she jumped off my bed and ran away, he followed her. Annabelle has decided to ignore her. This morning, after they ate, Stella jumped onto the bed and ran to Annabelle, who was grooming herself. Annabelle immediately jumped up into the bgookcases to avoid her. Stella was not perturbed in the least. Instead, she found a new toy.
-
And so to work.
-
Wednesday morning greetings! Well, I’m up and dressed, waiting to see if the window washers show up...
-
Hello
-
Hi, DR Vixmom! Nice painting from last night!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Someone on Facebook posted an old photo from Bardstown, Ky., advertising a Satanic exorcism and all-you-can-eat fried chicken. Lovely.

Saw that. It fits right in with current discussions, AND seems to be a two for one deal. Road trip, anyone?

It's funny about microwaved baked potatoes. I remember hearing in the 1970s, when microwave ovens were the latest thing, that baked potatoes were a great thing to use these newfangled devices for. And to this day, I have never tried it myself.
-
Yay, the window washers are here!
-
I guess I’m going to see Hamilton.
-
Got a ticket for the balcony at the same price I paid for The New Yorkers.

That sounds more reasonable though, still it is different than baked in an oven.

We have been having numerous small earthquakes yesterday, up and down Washington and Oregon
I had no idea.
-
DR JEANNE it would be dangerous for me to live in such a neighborhood......the theater is in a college town, so in May & June on move out days - the students leave a LOT of things on the street as well......fun!
-
I had to get the Theatre Open House story out to the print media today....and get the ads set up for SHE LOVES ME....
The print media always gives me a new rep....I have two new ones this year. I have to start all over with what I want.....because they can't find the file.
-
Nice painting from DR VIXVANGOGH
-
Why would you tell the public that?
Option 1: So they are prepared with emergency kits and supplies, not that we are prepared.
Option 2: So people watch the news
I am guessing it is option 2 😉
-
I will be better after my dentist visit tomorrow. he's gonna take out the stitches and make sure everything is okay.
Good vibes the dentist is pleased.
-
I get twinges every once in a while but ibuprofen takes care of it.
Good, you are continuing to have less pain.
-
No, thanks, I am fine. The helpers are all lined up.
I am happy to read this.

Good grief, it is after 1:00 a.m. No wonder I am drifting off.
I went out around 12:40 and woke up at 6:00, then dosed for another half hour.

First stop 2 nights in BC.

Then on to Montreal for time with the children over Memorial Day weekend.

Then on to Paris to meet up with friends. I met the husband on the same day I met Keith. It is with them we will celebrate our special day.

Count me in as one who has never tasted Skip's fried chicken.
We haven't had that in along while, because of my food issues.
But the flank steak, even without fried chicken, is worth taking a trip to NYC for. :). I do not understand what makes it so great, it just is. This is the part of beef that when I was growing up, was unceremoniously called "Flanken."
-
As "Flanken," it really just looked like leftovers.
-
I'm up, I'm up - about seven hours of sleep.
-
As "Flanken," it really just looked like leftovers.
I always liked Al Flanken.
-
I just heard about this and it really burns my butt. This isn't love; it's insanity, cruelty, and selfishness.

Hello, everyone.

That made me think of the snoring soldiers scene in Wozzeck!

Some good news today at HHW!
DR Ginny's window washers arrived! Yay.
-
Glad to hear that Vixmom's ankle is on the mend and she felt able to visit Hooter's to do some painting.
-
Glad to hear that TCB will have help with the move. The luxury of time really helps, too, rather than trying to move out of one place and immediately into the next.
-
Travel vibes to Jane and & Keith! All three destinations are lovely.
Happy Anniversary!
-
Vibes to DR jan that tomorrow's dental visit marks the end of this ordeal.
-
MEGA vibes to Larry for tomorrow's court date.
It frosts me that people--and I know there are many--have to go through these hoops due to the incompetence of so many landlords.
-
DR JEANNE it would be dangerous for me to live in such a neighborhood......the theater is in a college town, so in May & June on move out days - the students leave a LOT of things on the street as well......fun!
The students' wastefulness is good for community theaters. I never thought about it that way.

I had a tax issue to deal with and that has been done. It's one of those chores that should be quick and easy, but due either to bureaucracy or high call volume can be a real nuisance. I requested a call back, my call was returned, the guy I spoke to was pleasant but understandably brisk, and I can now check that off my list.
-
Today I will be taking care of a number of little things that I just haven't been able to get to.
-
Have a good day, everyone.

Our director is NOT a respecter of his actors' time. He has said we should be there at 5 o'clock for a costume pull.....
The costumer could have come and gotten our measurements (I would think essential for any costume pull) at any other rehearsal when we were just sitting around.....
And then had them ready for us at our next rehearsal to try on....
Instead we have to be there at 5 o'clock and wait around and wait around.....and wait....
-
So I shall be on my way in a bit....to wait and wait.....perhaps I shall hold my tongue......perhaps.....
-
I love walking around the theatre for two hours.....doing my 21 lines and then waiting around for TWO MORE hours for him to decide if we are going to do the Act again.....
-
I know I am lucky to be IN a play.....many folks would love to do it, but they do not have the opportunity.
-
I just heard about this and it really burns my butt. This isn't love; it's insanity, cruelty, and selfishness.

That's horrible. >:(

Some not good news for today: AC tuneup shows that the unit needs to be replaced in the next year. Also, today’s bill will be much higher than anticipated for some maintenance.

Yikes! :o I've never been in a show where something like that happened. It's always been getting measurements, then the costumer gets costumes, then we try them on during a regular rehearsal. How simple is that??

Back from the dentist, stitches are all out, dentist is pleased with progress. I go back in three weeks to get a partial bridge to keep teeth from meandering while everything heals, the bone graft, grafts and we get ready for the implants. Only 4-6 months to go. Thank all you kind people for your vibes and thoughts, I really appreciate y'all.

I took my bath and Stella spent most of it sitting on the edge of the tub watching me. I think we've bonded. I was afraid she was going to jump in with me. I also learned I need to keep the toilet lid down from now on. I do not want to come home and find her floating in the bowl.
-
Grant and I went over to the food court at the mall and we had Panda Express - it wasn't half bad. I had the chop suey, orange chicken, and kung pao chicken. The first two items were fine - not great - but fine. The kung pao was so spicy that I only had a couple of bites. So, calorie-wise, it was very friendly. Next time, it's the Philly cheesesteak.
-
Then I came home, prepared all the audio tracks and got those where they needed to go, then I went and picked up packages, then came home. Now I'm listening to the last of the Pfitzner box set, and then it's on to Nino Rota - five volumes of his orchestral works that no one seems to know were ever released - all new recordings on Decca.
-
More dental vibes for Jan.
-
Spent an hour in the garden pulling weeds and picking tomatillos. I am exhausted.
-
But it's a start. Also picked some mint, which is beautiful this year.
-
Finished listening to Under the Volcano. Devastating story. If I drank in one week all that one of the characters drinks in a day, I'd be pickled.
-
Back to Beale Street. Great stuff. Sad. Touching.

I like Panda Express. I usually get the chow mein, kung pow chicken (I like the peanuts and the overall spicy-ness, but don't eat the actual chili peppers that are in it) and the black pepper chicken. :)

Today the line to go through passport at the Vancouver airport was extemely long. In all of the years Keith has traveled he has never seen that many people in line. It took an hour to get through and, fortunately, the line was moving at a good pace.

Since my first cat 52 years ago the toilet seats have always been kept down. They still are because they look better that way ;D

Wow! 50 years. Congratulations 10 days early, Jane.

Starting a movie called Rider on the Rain, Charles Bronson film directed by Rene Clement. Looks promising and the Francis Lai score is moody and lovely.

DR ELMORE everyone starts someplace. Things like this happen when we get Off The Board directors....
I survived....and the rehearsing part of the evening was actually very good....and fun.
Our girl who identifies as a boy said that they feel like a piece of furniture rather than an actor.....and thinks there must be something more they can do with the part.
The part is about 10 lines in a fantasy in which the wife imagines her husband is dallying with a very young girl......
Sometimes a hot dog is just a hot dog.....but they have made arrangements to talk to the actress playing the wife to discover the extent of her imagination and some other BS.....
It's a hot dog.

And on that note (A-flat), I'm outta here. I've decided to go to Panda Express for my dinner. I know it'll be good. ;D
Be back later.
-
We are staying at a hotel near the airport. Tomorrow we will take the train into downtown and explore. Tonight we walked around here and had dinner. Along grassy areas we saw the cutest rabbits. There were grey, black, black with mottled brown, and various other colors and they were all tame. None of them even slightly moved away from us as they passed.
Check out this story on the cute rabbits of Richmond.

Wow! 50 years. Congratulations 10 days early, Jane.
Thank you.
-
Good night, all.
-
So, we go to the food court. It's sunny out, very nice. We finish our food about forty minutes later. Sun is gone. We get home. I'm the the garage trying to find something and I'm hearing huge thunder. Next thing you know, it's pouring. I'll say the date - May 22 - and then "pouring." That continues for about thirty minutes, then it's sunny again. That's perfectly normal weather for May, right.
-
For dinner I had a yummy corn & something veggie burger with avacado, tomato, lettuce and a little onion. Even better were the sweet potato fries with balsamic vinegar drizzeled on top. The waitress was great too 😊
-
Lady Jane, how can it be you 50th anniversary when you are only 30?

But first...

PAGE SEVEN DANCE!!
-
Here we go...
-
Well, this is cool. Last month on PBS, there was a concert that was filmed in St. Petersburg, Russia, celebrating the 2018 The International Jazz Day, which is April 30.
-
The PBS broadcast was only an hour, but I found it on YouTube, and that version is TWO hours!
-
It wasn't a pledge drive, so I don't know why it would be only an hour long.
-
Anyway, the main reason that I was interested was because The Manhattan Transfer were part of it!
-
Here's the link to the two-hour YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKiWqkw4AuA (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKiWqkw4AuA) :D
-
Highly recommended...if you like jazz.
-
What kind of jazz?
-
All kinds. Some vocals, some instrumental. All good.
