If I were S. Woody, I'd be throwing wildflower seeds over that low fence every chance I got.

And ornamental grass seeds, as well!   TALL ones!!

My choice would be a nice windbreak of bamboo.

What a sensible way to do it, DR JRand58!!!!   Congratulations on your purchase.

I have my fingers crossed, learning APPLE at my own speed will be helpful....and I can just alternate my High Speed Internet between the two systems for awhile.

I bought a six pack of zip drives at a bargain price, only to find out, I don't have a zip drive slot on my computer.  Oh well.

Can you trade them in for six pack abs?

Any congratulations for the Postmaster general who gets over $800,000 per year in compensation - more than the President.

Brunch/lunch with Jason was lots of fun. We haven't seen each other since Thanksgiving, so it was nice to catch up in person rather than via IM/chat. He's doing well, and still dealing with a crazy schedule work-wise and audition-wise.

After brunch, I walked by The Ziegfeld since I noticed that they were showing "Coraline". However, once I saw that the ticket price was $15.50(!?!?!), I just kept on walking along 54th to MoMA. *At least the sign at the box office says that they are charging for the 3-D glasses. -But since I can see "The Searchers" for free, well... -Should I see "The Searchers"?

Of course he is. Although I'm sensing Monkey is feeling a bit camera-shy today. However, I may be meeting up with one of Development Directors this afternoon, and I'm guessing Monkey will at least extend a paw to her.

DR Ron Pulliam - I do hope that you've noticed that I always try to practice responsible quoting and re-quoting. Alas, that's just one of the "glitches" of the new board software - at least when it comes to embedded, hyper-linked images.

DR JMK - Yes, I did catch today's "Non Sequitor". ;)

*Which even though it "starts" with a Twitter reference, it's called "Bloggers Anonymous" - which could apply to people who happen to use and visit Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, RSS feeds, or even online forums and discussion boards. ;)

**Besides, there's a sort of error in that cartoon: Most Twitterholics use their cellphones (which is how Twitter started), PDAs or iPhones to "tweet".

I would think how one "tweets" is a personal and private matter.

DR JRand - There a couple of PC->Apple tutorials available via/on www.apple.com. Very helpful especially in regards to keyboard and keystroke equivalents.

"Due to many shootings that have happened in our churches across our nation, it is time we changed our concealed handgun law to allow law-abiding citizens of the state of Arkansas the right to defend themselves and others should a situation happen in one of our churches," said state Rep. What are the chances that some folks will want to take guns to the Reverend Fred Phelps' church!

Hello all.  Our computer crashed Friday night and it took Vixdad until late last night to get it up and running again.  He says it's stillnot 100% and he may have to tear it down and do it over so if I disappear again that's probably why.

Good to know!   You could call someone when it happens again, ya know!  We worry!

Except I cannot talk, so I can't use the phone.  I suppose I should have had the Vixter call someone - sorry!!

Back from a wonderful walk around part of Lake Merritt.  It was my first walk of the new year...and the first time I either wasn't too sick to walk, on jury duty or couldn't walk and not get soaked in the rain.

I plan on doing a lot more walking as long as the weather is good.
