Just been watching Dragnet episodes.  I had no idea that not only did they have a different partner for Jack Webb originally, there was also a different Frank Smith originally - Herb Ellis - have no idea how many episodes he did before Ben Alexander came on.  The minute Alexander appeared you knew instantly that they'd found the perfect match for Webb, because he brought humor to the show, in the same way Harry Morgan would in Dragnet 1967.

td, should I open your photos 1st?  If not, where exactly on your page will I find to comment on a photo?
Directly under my profile picture is a "View Photos of Me" link.
That will take you to the photos.
Yes, you should open the pictures first.
Then you SHOULD be able to post a comment.

There were actually very few HHW orders for Laurette - and, of course, that CD is already a collector's item before it's even been shipped.

I feel bad laughing.  I hope the bride took it in stride.  I'm not sure what I would have done. ;D ;D

I must tell the truth and say that twice I've seriously thought about doing the jog, but I'm holding tough and won't - tomorrow, however, I will be back to my routine.

I need to begin reading book 1 our our voters' pamphlet.  There are 2 books in total.  Oregon always has way too many measures to vote on.

Bruce Darling,

How about assembling your old (and I'm sure a few new ones) stable of stars and doing a Tony Hatch album or a Dory and  Andre Previn album?  What great material for those wonderful singers and your ideas!!!!!!!!!

Kerry, all I need is the dough.  I had two albums I wanted to do about five years ago - a Previn album and a Bricusse/Newley album.

I would love a Bricusse / Newley album.  Hell, I would love to sing on a Bricusse / Newley album.

Good afternoon.  I had a lovely morning.  My mom came over last night and bottle fed Toby at the 3 am feeing, so I slept blissfully from 1 to 6:30, which is twice as long as I usually can.  Then we drove up to SeaTac (the town between Seattle and Tacoma, natch) and met my sister and father for our annual October birthday breakfast family gathering.  My sister lives in Seattle, my folks live on the other side of the state, and we live in Tacoma, so we gather in a central location each October to celebrate my mom's birthday on the 10th, my sisters on the 22nd, and DH Jed's on the 26th.  Toby was supposed to be another added to the list, but the boy evidently wanted a month to himself, so he went with Sept 6th.
We met at our usual diner called the Pancake Chef, where we all had delicious omelets with their signature silver dollar pancakes.  Jed had a spinach one, my sister and I had country omelets, and my folks split a crab one.  They were all delicious, and we spend an enjoyable time together.  I managed to nurse Toby in the wrap without anyone seeing anything they shouldn't, and he was a very contented little guy.
My mom came back and made us an apple pie with apples from our garden, and then she drove home.  Jed is now watching football and I am listening to George Hearn and Barbara Cook sing Too Many Mornings on my itunes.

DR Ann, I wish my family were so close.  It sounds like a lovely day.

Foolish Toby, October is a beautiful time of year.  On the other hand, September makes for great outdoor birthday parties.  Craig's parties were often twice the size of Bryan's, our almost Christmas baby.

Fellow DR Oregonians. Measure 54 was an easy read & decision, even while drinking a glass of wine.  Did you even know one had to be 21 years old to vote in school board elections? :o

Did you ever have something like this happen?  You know you have something - you know where it should be - it isn't there.  You look in all the places you might have moved it to - not there.  Anyone have any suggestions?  This happens to be the published sheet music for Herrmann's xmas carol, which I've owned for about five years (bought on eBay) - it's signed by Herrmann and his then-wife, Lucille Fletcher.  I've looked every place where I have sheet music - it used to be on the piano - was there for years, but I obviously moved it.  Looked in the bench - nothing.  I even looked in the closet with all my memorabilia, thinking I might have moved it in there to protect it.  Nothing.
