Another YouTube before I walk the dog and descend the steps. . .
Much better this way than just listening the soundboard taping, or was it an audience member who taped?. . .
Idina Menzel sings "Cornet Man."

If I were writing a progress note about myself it would say "Antonia has demonstrating extremely low frustration tolerance."

You would have to add "and it appears with good reason!"

There was a restaurant in DC that would routinely feature menus and food items that were featured in currently running movies.  They did dinners that went along with "Babette's Feast", "Like Water for Chocolate", and, of course, "Big Night".

I think "Babette's Feast" was their first "Movie Dinner".  -They actually would make an evening out of it.  You would have the dinner, then see the movie.  However, they soon switched that order to seeing the movie first and then having the dinner.  This way, nothing was "spoiled" when the customers went to see the movie.  -And, more importantly, it prevented people from falling asleep in the movie theatres due to their full stomachs.  ;)

The dishes in BIG NIGHT looked absolutely scrumptious.

Cilla, I finally found the story about your squirrel, Twinkletoes. I'm so sorry to hear that.

I look forward to seeing the wildlife that inhabits my yard when I come home from work. One of the owls that lives around here sounds just like a monkey. He's a barred owl, but we call him the monkey owl.

As did Tony Shalhoub. This is the film that made me think of him for the voice of Sacco.

Does that mean you had to mow the lawn and do a daily cleaning project, Matt?  Or was this in place of mopping the friggen kitchen?

No, I cleaned the den early this morning, and mowed the front lawn around 12:30. Good thing I did, too, as it's been raining off and on all evening long.

Time for beddy-bye. Boy, this was a tough day at work, an almost impossible deadline, which makes me insane because I always screw something up when I'm under pressure, time-wise, but all of our spots passed with flying colors for the network head. And the original shoot we did with Kyra in NY (I made 10 spots out of it) is a big hit. They are going to do a story about it and air one of the spots on ACCESS HOLLYWOOD, probably Friday.

So my DH and I went out for dinner and a margarita. (I could have demolished a pitcher, but I'm glad I didn't!)

I spent a good portion of the evening with the 30th anniversary edition of SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER. Definitely the best this movie has EVER looked on home video. Paramount actually struck a new master for this DVD release. There's no dirt, reel change markers, or other artifacts to ruin the image. The 5.1 sound is fine.

Once again, I had forgotten chunks of the movie, so it was nice revisiting it.

There were a bunch of bonus features on the disc (only a single disc edition), and luckily I had time to watch everything since my TV didn't start until 10. Most of them were puff pieces shouting hossanahs to the film and the personnel, but they covered things pretty thoroughly. Nice to see the hunky Joe Cali taking us for a tour of present day Brooklyn showing filming locations that were the same and those that were now either different or gone.

CSI: NY had an OK case about a hit woman who's a master of disguise and a master of electronics. Pretty far-fetched, and the show ended in a gunfight, not very CSI-like at all.

As for the IDOL results show, the one eliminated was pretty predictable and well deserved.

There was another squirrel who tried to do the Twinkletoes upside down thing. He came close. It was clearly a different squirrel - very white fur on his chest.

Monday night we had a little snow and Tuesday morning my yard was covered with all sorts of animal tracks. My mother was amazed at the tracks left my my outdoor friends
