I have less than admirable comments about some events at work which have provided some complications to my job.

Well, I'm off to start a book I'm pretty sure I first heard about here--THE RED LEATHER DIARY.  I hope it's as good as what I've been hearing about it.

What's up with Lisa Rinna's lips? Collagen O.D.?

You just noticed?  She's been like that for quite a while.  But still... :o

I guess I've never seen her before. Why do people do that to themselves? I just don't get it...

I had to look her up.  It seems she is from Medford, where MBarnum hails from.  I tried to find a before photo to compare.

I can make a still from a soap clip when I get home tonight...

Jose - Doesn't anyone check your mail for anything important when you're gone for two weeks?  (No, i didn't send you anything, but I was just wondering.)

They do.  Although, I also wasn't expecting anything important, so...

And that Anything Goes transpositions start!  I'm using Encore - I've used Encore for a LONG time.  I've tried Sibelius and Finale, but I just can't get away from the simplicity of Encore.  Good luck with you Finale time, Elmore :)

I'm just amazed at how much Encore costs now!  It used to be a cheap(!), but very good program.  However...

Since you can import Encore files into Finale now, I will sometimes do most of the note entry in Encore, then make it "pretty" in Finale.

Through friends I have seen several installments of Soaptalk that Rinna and Treadway hosting. Of the two, I would take Treadway since he seems to respect what the person is saying and allows them to talk. Lisa has to get her 2 cents in consistently. Perhaps she is a very nice and pleasant person in real life and is just overly hyper on television.

Are you sure you didn't hear about the book on Twitter?  ;)

And you can also check it out here:  http://www.redleatherdiary.com

*It's actually very "cool" book, and a very good read.  DRs Jane and Ginny et all may find the "premise" quite fascinating.

I didn't know that Sam Bottoms had died. I worked on a movie with him back in the 80's. Bad movie, but nice guy... :-(

Yes, I was very sad when he passed away. I had a HUGE crush on him once upon a time.

The SAG Awards have started.  The sound is screwed up and Tom Cavanaugh's  little intro was edited!  Anyone know what he said??

I had an evening filled with wonderful things to watch. I began by watching the skating. Johnny Weir's skate was as awful as it was at the last Olympics. Completely lacking fire and artistry. I understand he had been ill and wasn't fully recovered. I think he never should have competed.

The fellow who finished second (his first year in the nationals; I think his last name was Oi) was just wonderful. Effortless jumps and with a little seasoning, he'll be the best in the world. Jeremy Abbott and Evan Lysechek were both erratic and unimpressive though I didn't mind Abbott's win. Lysechek got the placement he deserved.

Next, I watched Wednesday night's LAW & ORDER. Excellent case, really unusual motive for the crime and I loved the trick Mike used to get the guilty man to show his hand.

Next came Wednesday's CSI: NY. A rather gruesome story of a wrestling coach chopped into pieces and spread all around New York. No way to guess the murderer since we only met him near the end of the show.

And I concluded my evening with 1 1/2 episodes of THE STARTER WIFE recorded off Universal-HD. The Judy Davis plot is the one that has gotten me the most involved. And I like the actor who plays Molly's selfish ex-husband but I can't STAND his character. Insufferable.

Liked seeing Joe Mantagna back reprising his role from the miniseries. Too bad Molly didn't choose him when she had the chance.
