Now I'm off to the grocery with a list of what we don't need.  It was easier than listing what we do.

Funny!

Yum. this sounds good (or maybe I just to take a trip to Ikea).

MEATBALLS BAKED IN SOUR CREAM

Read more about it at www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,181,142161-232205,00.html

2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup chopped pimiento-stuffed olives
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup dairy sour cream at room temperature

In a bowl lightly mix beef, onion, olives, eggs, salt and pepper just until blended; shape into 24 balls.
In a skillet melt butter; brown meatballs slowly on all sides and cook until done. Place in shallow 1 qt. casserole dish.

Pour off fat in skillet reserving 2 tablespoons; blend in flour. Add water, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, paprika and salt; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Cook 2 additional minutes.

Remove from heat; carefully blend in sour cream; pour over meatballs. Place in preheated 350°F oven for 10-15 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.

Makes 8 servings.

Those do sound good. :D

DR JRand61, good news....Fox is starting their own MOD dvds, and the first batch of titles coming up include some of their obscure B movies....this may be our chance to FINALLY see Allison Haye's HIGH POWERED RIFLE!!!

I am shocked that Willard Parker got higher billing than Allison.

Obviously, he was sleeping with the producer....something Allison would never have done.

I love Ruthie Henshall so much . She is one of my most favorite musical theatre performers. I have seen her live in NYC in both Chicago and Putting it Together. I absolutely love her on the cd of She Loves Me. And Crazy For You.

I usually fry them in a bit of oil with green onions or a green pepper......meatballs, that is.
Since when I .ake them I usually make 20-30 I do not think they would all fit in a fry pan. I have been boiling then and then letting them simmer in a sauce for quite a few years.

I love simmering things for a really long time, but I think that goes above and beyond.

Oh, Sour Cream Meatballs sound yummy!

I used to make some pretty good Sweet and Sour Meatballs, if I do say so myself.

I need to get a good pan for making meatballs. They always seem to stick.

Hello.  I'm back from Buffalo. I'm glad to say my trip went without a hitch.  Sorry to hear about your ordeal, DR Ginny!

You must be on a ffirst-name basis with the entire airline.

Not sure about that, TCB!  I took Southwest today, but I have taken Delta flights to JFK several times in the last year.

Thanks, DR Ginny!  Maybe I'll meet you at an HHW get-together sometime!

DiVan was one of the names for the fictional Mormon family I created.  :)

His wife was named Rotunda.

What was the name of the other wife?

DR Ginny if we get to Cleveland in the next three years my plan is to drive to Georgetown, KY to visit friends.  I believe that would take us right past you.

Perhaps he meant Salem, MA.

There's a woman who works for the library (in another building) with the last name of Vaglica.  I kid you not. ::)

Just finished "The Producers." (The original, that is.) What a great movie. Laughed as hard as I ever have at it.

The meatballs with some loose meat actually turned out pretty well. The loose meat sort of blended into the sauce.
