...And now I shall dance off to the green room to have a cup of coffee. Or two.

Off to a wine dinner in a minute. A limo will be picking me up, so I can actually enjoy the drinking this time. I don't think I've ever been in a limo before.

I used to have a lot of wine dinners.  Of course, wine was the entire menu in those days.  Last Wednesday, I celebrated 18 years of sobriety.

Been mainly sunny and warm here today. September has been pretty good, weather wise so far, which partly makes up for the terrible summer London has had.

Been watching NIGHT OF THE HUNTER again. What a great film! And a pity that Charles Laughton never directed another film.

Must start packing now because tomorrow I fly away for my first ever visit to Turkey, where I'm staying in Istanbul for five days.

Travel vibes to Doug R.

Daisy is a beautiful cat. DR Doug, I don't know if you had been reading for a while before you joined us, but I often foster for a local animal shelter. I just turned in my last two kittens for adoptions. I usually take in mothers with tiny babies.

And sometimes cats, also.

What is wrong with this group?  Not one snide comment about anyone on the Red Carpet!

I just want to know who the dork was that was interviewing people on the carpet.  Very strange man.

Kevin I didn't think the opening number was terrific, but I have certainly seen a lot worse (Rob Lowe and Snow White).

I liked (but didn't love) the opening number...and you're right, TCB.  There have been a lot worse.

Well, I'm off to my sister's for a while.  She wants me to help her to move a bed but it's been raining...hopefully, she has a tarp to cover it all. ::) I hope that I'm back in time for the Emmy Awards!

Have a good day, all!

Well, the mattress is moved.  My sister bought a new mattress from a coworker of hers.  He and his wife just bought this and either they didn't like it or there was something wrong with it.  They bought it on-line and the mattress manufacturer just sent them a new one and said that they could keep the original.  Wow!  That's customer service!  So my sister is really going to get a deal on a brand new mattress.
