Well, you've read the notes, the notes were clean and had teeth, and now it is time for you to post until the toothy cows come home.

***excellent vibes and xylophones for good, healthy teeth***

I did fall sleep again but only slept for an hour or so.
Not looking forward to this day
-
Good morning, all! I will become more and more E&T as this situation worsens or until it's diagnosed and treated. I went to bed at 10. I was up at 11, 12:30, 2, 3, and 5. The bad news is that the ibuprofen is doing nothing to remove the pain, which is all neurological: the leg bone running from my left foot to my knee feels as though it's on fire; I cannot stand on my left foot without a crutch. I'm still determining which positions sitting and lying down will not cause severe pains through my entire left leg and I am sleeping whenever I can. I am also depressed as hell over the whole thing.
Last night a crutch fell over onto my bedstand, knocking over a glass of water and soaking half the bed. I wanted to cry; I didn't. The apartment is a shambles, I need to do laundry. I'm moving furniture about to strategic places so I have a support as I move from pillar to post. I need a bath but I can't stand in the shower and I'm afraid if I sit in the tub I'll need someone to come and drag me out of it. The one advantage of not sleeping and being up at 5 am is that I won't oversleep and miss getting to the X-ray on East 95th. Since it's at 9:15, I'll try to get a car service around 8:30 to take me there; taxis are impossible at rush hour.
The phone messages are piling up and I don't want to talk to anyone because I feel rotten and don't want to do anything but improve. I promise, this will be my last kvetch about the ordeal.
Have a good day, everyone!
-
Much love and strength to Larry

bk - I hope I never have to switch over to the new channel, then. the ability to have that menu with all our channel's videos is my favorite aspect of YouTube's layout system.

Morning all.
Dear Larry, sorry to hear about your health problems. I hope the x-rays provide some clue to treatment.
I'm still swamped which accounts for my lack of posting.
Bye for now.

Wednesday morning greetings! Today, we say "goodbye" to Chicago - it's been great and we're looking forward to being home.
We could use some vibes & prayers sent toward Dayton, OH, where today Richard's older brother John is scheduled to undergo heart by-pass surgery.

Must go for the day.

DR MattH,
re: rafe and adam on The Young & The Restless.
I guess rafe didn't feel like a passionate hug since his boyfriend's girlfriend was in the next room. :)
-
(((((Elmore))))) Feel better soon!

I'm back from X-rays. It was painful and ucomfortable because the leg isn't comfortable in any position. Back to bed.

Isn't that funny? The one day I need to get up at seven there is no noise at all next door - not a peep. Hence, I just got up and now have to leave in about ten minutes.
-
OK, we're off to retrieve our car and head back to Ohio - bye for now!

Good Morning!

I guess rafe didn't feel like a passionate hug since his boyfriend's girlfriend was in the next room. :)
Oh, boy, are Rafe and I on different pages! If *I* had just seen the man that I was starting to have feelings for kissing a woman knowing that we had been intimate some days before, I'd sure as hell get a little for myself before heading out the door, no matter where SHE was.
I suspect this storyline is not being written by a gay man.

I didn't get nearly as much sleep as I thought I would after having an early wake-up call yesterday. Anyway, it's going to be hot again today, but we're promised lower humidity which will be a blessing.

No UPS delivery again today, so unless THE TOWERING INFERNO arrives this afternoon, looks like another day off.

So sorry to read of continuing physical torment, DR Elmore. Having had some flare-ups with muscles myself over the past few months, I know how that can keep sleep from coming or lasting for any lengthy period.

I know which Blu-ray I'll be watching at some point today - THE ROAD WARRIOR. I haven't seen this movie in ages, so it'll be fun to revisit it in HD. I'll be curious to see what improved resolution does for my enjoyment of its high flying action.

DR Michael S - RE: Fully Committed being performed by multiple actors...
I wonder if they actually cast an actor for each part? Some of the characters only "appear" for a few lines.
I've also seen listings every now and then for multi-actor versions of Jane Wagner and Lily Tomlin's The Search for Sign of Intelligent Life in the Universe.
I'm also trying to remember if Patrick Stewart's one-man A Christmas Carol ever made it to VHS/DVD. -Still one of my top five night's of/in a theatre.
-
That previous semi-stream-of-consciousness post brought to you by a lack of caffeine. ;)
-
I think he played it on a TNT release, DR JOSE....but there were plenty of other people in it, and lots of commercial breaks.
-
I just bought Season Four of THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY and added Season Four of GOMER PYLE USMC, the latter contains Miss Allison Hayes in a two episode arc as Rose Pilchik, girlfriend of Sgt. Carter in Washington D.C...... These episodes are some of Allison's last work.....she is 34 years old, and not in the best of health - but although I have the episodes on VHS and home made DVD, it will be nice to see them in an official release.

When I first read "former" doctor I feared it was the quack ;D
After reading the article I wonder why I attempted the suggested 1 Tylenol this morning vs 2. I still have a mild headache. It really isn't bad & why I figured this would be a good time to try a single extra strength.
-
Ah, that headache is all in your head, DR Jane!

Yesterday was a hot day for us....it got up to 92 in Oakland. Last night, I ran the AC in my bedroom for the first time since April (our hottest month, thus far).
Right now, it's 63, with an expected high of 74. This time yesterday it was 81.
What a difference a day makes....and the reappearnace of the famous fog in the Bay Area.

I am always sorry to read about the continuing sagas of DRs medical issues.

I got "The Towering Inferno" and "The Graduate" on Blu-ray in yesterday's mail along with recently ordered batch of Warner Archives titles.
Today I am hopeful of receiving my WB red2blu exchange set of Blu-ray discs. WB has this wonderful offer....send in the UPC/cover art for any of a wide range of HD DVD titles in your collection and WB will replace them with the Blu-ray title for a small charge.
I sent in 23 titles. I'm expecting 22, with one on backorder.

I suspect the story is not being written by a gay man. But just like different women react differently, I think that different men would react differently.
We never really saw much of rafe's personal life (before he casually told colleen he was gay). But to me he was written as being sort of a nice guy and a bit conservative. So to me it was a surprise for him to jump in the sack with adam before they had even declared their feelings for each other.
Also, it's amazing that adam gets so much action considering he's not supposed to lock his door anymore. If i was him i would not be having sex when Victor Newman could walk in at any moment! :)
-
So is anybody watching Big Brother? Favorites? Who do you hate?
OMG I just read hamsterwatch. Guess who had sex!?!
-
Feeling better, and less grouchy, vibes for DR Elmore!
DR MB, can you get away for a few weeks and pay DR Elmore an extended visit? That would cheer him up!

Well the houseguests on Big Brother are referred to as hamsters. So yeah.

That dentist's chair cartoon reminded me of one of my earliest memories. It probably wasn't the first time I was at the dentist's, but I coudn't have been older than 3 or 4. The dentist squirted water in my mouth and said "Swish and spit," so I did--all over him. He was not amused. Well, he didn't say "spit in the bowl" after all. How was I to know?

HERE'S LUCY Season One is coming out in August, too.

-
DR Jennifer, on BB11 I like Lydia a lot, and Jeff. Russell is nice to look at and the science girl seems nice.
Too eary yet for me to judge who is playing well...I have not yet watched last night's episode.
I don't like the girl with huge lips, and Jessie is also on my dislike list...he has such a terrible personality for such a good looking guy.

Yes thanks. I have pre ordered The Lucy Show.....I have the official Best of set of HERE'S LUCY....it's my least favorite of Lucy's shows.....non stop guest stars in ridiculous situations....even by Lucy standards....and Lucie Arnaz.....the worst on tv until Debra Messing showed up decades later....but basically doing the same type of tv acting.

She had some nephews around.....they must not know....maybe we should apply for the money. It would have to be her tv work as no residuals are paid on work finished before January, 1960, I don't think.
-
And I see June still hasn't picked up her residuals yet either.

Back from Dr. Chew. Considering how long it's been it wasn't too too terrible. The good news is, no cavities. Teeth cleaning was quite painful as there was several years of tartar build-up - I hate when that happens. But now my teeth have no tartar or build-up, and they are sparkly and clean. But - you'll remember that I said one tooth felt weird, as if a filling had broken or something - well, I actually chipped a piece of the tooth off (because of the filling disintegrating, said Dr. Chew), so that one has to get a porcelain crown. And way back on the upper left side there is now a really large gap between two teeth, which Dr. Chew says is very unusual (wasn't there last time I was in - a tooth moved, apparently), so he wants to put a gold crown on one of those teeth, to close the gap - the teeth themselves are fine. And then, he has to redo one ancient filling on the other side of my mouth. So, it's going to be a total of four or five visits over the next two months.
-
And that is the dental report.
-
The mental report, we will save for another post.

DR JMK any reviews of your show up yet?

So MR BK is getting a new grill.

I am off to work in the box office for MARK OF CAIN.....sell popcorn....and then clean up the theatre after the show. Theatre is so rewarding. ;D

Patrick Stewart's one-man A Christmas Carol isn't on VHS/DVD, but it is on audio CD. I bought it for my sister. It's very good.
-
And speaking of Patricks...happy birthday to Patrick Wayne (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0915618/), son of John. He's 70 years old today! 70?? I can't think of him as being that old.
-
No UPS packages today and nothing in the USPS mail either, so I have yet another day off. I just know one of these days, the bottom is going to drop out, and I'll be swamped, but it ain't happen' yet.
-
I watched last night's RESCUE ME while I ate lunch. An okay episode. Some predictable slapstick stuff in the firehouse as a hazing ritual for a new probie, but mostly this episode seemed to be pretty much filler this week.
-
Next, I watched Monday night's MY LIFE ON THE D-LIST. Kathy heading to Star Island in Miami to buy a second home. Only, as soon as I saw the price tags, I knew she wouldn't be buying. $17-20 million for the house she was interested in. She was willing to spend $1.7 million.
Early on in the hour, Rosie O'Donnell appeared without make-up. Scary, scary stuff.
-
Page Four Dance!!!
-
Next I watched today's THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. Well, actually, I skimmed through it. Adam was on, but his manipulations have only so much interest for me. Phillip was in the previews, so tomorrow's episode might be more interesting.
-
Next, I watched a VERONICA MARS episode. Veronica looking for the missing husband of a Russian mail-order bride. Good show with a nice twist ending.
-
The next VERONICA MARS episodeI remembered having seen, so I watched it, too. It dealt with Veronica defending her favorite teacher who was being accused of having a relationship with one of his students.
-
Next up was today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Luke and Noah were on, and it was the start of what appears a new story arc for them, a jealousy arc with Noah's new faculty advisor being introduced today. Should keep me interested, so the show is back on my rotation.
-
I meant to mention that here they are starting a new story arc, and typical of ATWT, Luke and Noah aren't on tomorrow's show to reinforce the story that was starting today.
-
Then, I wrapped up my afternoon viewing by skimming through today's ONE LIFE TO LIVE. Fish and Layla were on continuing from the story yesterday when their date ended rather awkwardly. I guess they really are going to have her fall ahrd for him before he pulls the rung out from under her.
-
Including mine.
Oh...ESPECIALLY yours!
;)
-
I was here earlier, and I think forgot to post. Anyway, health vibes to all-- whether you think you need them or not.

Hello, Guest!

Hello all. Crazy day here...and that's not intended as a mental report
-
Actually a lot of my day was working on a pro bono case. it's turned out to be much more time intensive than I thought. But, I want to help this family and I don't do things half way, so what the heck.
-
There is going to be a parade on the street by my office in a couple hours. I can't believe the people with babies and little kids who are already lining up for it. It's a lovely day and not too hot, but I guess they still want the shade
-
Ok, time to get out of here before I can't -with the parade and all.
-
Today I got a copy of the second phone book that lists me in the yellow pages alphabetically by my first name, lol. People know me by that, so I guess it's ok, but it's really pretty funny.
-
Ah, that headache is all in your head, DR Jane!
;D
Nothing like a good hike to help my headache, or I'm distracted thanks to something that stung my leg-ouch. I don't think it is a bee, or I would be much more swollen. It might have been a black fly.
-

I opened the package from Oldies.com that I picked up at the post office. I had forgotten what I ordered. It was like Christmas morning. I got the DVDs of NAVY SEAL / RED DAWN (a double feature), THE LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE (with Roddy McDowall and Pamela Franklin), JEFFREY, and the double feature of THE BOY AND THE PIRATES / CRYSTALSTONE.
-
And I see June still hasn't picked up her residuals yet either.

I have spent the entire day slogging through a database for my part time job, which is drawing toward its conclusion.

I think I had the best day. I went looking for crawdads. And butterflies.

We''re home!!!
You'll never guess what I saw from the taxi that took us out to Midway Airport to retrieve our car: this big blue body of water to the east of Chicago. I think it's called Lake Michigan!
The driver went down Lakeshore Drive to the expressway (I-55?). So I guess I'll have to update my Facebook status.

Sounds great. I'm eating a few days old, almost fresh, zucchini & squash sautéed in onions and tossed with an eggplant tomato sauce. I cheated on the sauce & got it out of a jar. It is organic ;)

Just wanted to say hello.
-
Since both teeth and gums were very sore, I decided to go see Up. What a wonderful movie - another Pixar winner, and completely unlike anything they've done before.
-
And I'll have more to say about the El Capitan "experience" in the notes.

Is that legal? Are they refunding any money?
-
Hi DR Sam. :)
-
I've been watching the Two's Company video's.
The audience had such a good time that night. The ambiance was just wonderful.
Unfortunately I invited someone who insisted we leave exactly after the show was over. I did not want to leave.
-
Hi Jane
-
Hi Sam.
Jane, they are giving us notice they are canceling the contract. The offer for a new machine they made today is MUCH better than the offer they made in November.
-
I've decided to move again at the end of my lease. The rents have come down in other buildings. I might be able to save as much as $300 a month by December. I know it's because the economy sucks.
Vacancy's here are renting for less than what I'm paying, and I've only been here 8 months. Also the tenant's that have complained are not getting a reduction in rent, the managent would rather risk us leaving. They are stupid, stupid, stupid. (I hear Cason's voice saying that).
-
Hi Laura
-
Hi George
-
Dear Jane, nice memories and photos of your vacation.
-
Crawdads and Apache Lake. Wonder if they are still there.
-
Must go do stuff.
;)

This morning I went for a walk, and this is what I saw:

LOL :D
-
DR Sam are you still considering moving out of the area?
-
DR Laura-WOW!
DR Sam, thank you. I'm sorry I didn't return before you left.
-
DR Sam, reminds me of when I lived in Arizona. The complexes back then would offer a month free or 3 months free rent or something like that if you signed a 1 year lease. So, it made sense to move nearly every year. I was relieved when I bought a place that I didn't have to worry about that anymore
-
Cool Laura! Great Photos (as always)

That is something. Will you take it? I wonder if another company would give you a "trade in" discount on the old machine to get your business.

Hi George
Hi Sam...bye Sam. I'm off to my parents' house to finish putting together the rolling cart for their kitchen. I went over on Monday, but one part was made incorrectly and wouldn't fit. My mom went back to the store where she got it (the PX at Fort Lewis) and they were able to just open another box and swap out the part. Now, we'll see if this new part is correct.
Until later!
-
I think we need to talk to several companies now.
-
DR Laura - Beautiful pictures as always.
-
Jackson’s kids want to live with sister Janet
Since I saw the clip of the children with Janet I felt they should be with her.

G'night.

I think it might be time for the weekly big jobs to go to Kinko's or something.

The color pages are too expensive.

Had a very enjoyable evening of entertainment.
I began with the Blu-ray of THE ROAD WARRIOR. Of course, that was the title here though that title is nowhere to be seen on the movie. It's under its original name MAD MAX 2.
I didn't really get the movie when I first saw it all those years ago. I hadn't seen the first movie, of course (few had), and this just seemed a series of chases. Today, of course, we're used to a movie that's a series of chases, but it seemed pretty odd and pointless to me back then. Now, I can admire the great stunt work and the whole ambiance of that desolate future time.
Not a great movie at all, but certainly a fun one, and it's barely 90 minutes, so it passes by quickly.
-
Next, I watched that two hour documentary on the making of GONE WITH THE WIND (disc 3 in the four disc set). Hadn't seen it in quite some time, and it was nice to revisit it.
-
On that third disc in the GWTW DVD set is also a documentary on the remastering of the disc using Ultra-Resolution for this particular release. I watched that, too. (It was only 18 minutes.)
I believe if I have another day off tomorrow, I'll rewatch all of GONE WITH THE WIND. I haven't watched the whole thing in a long, long time, and with it coming out on Blu-ray later in the year (an expensive deluxe edition I likely will not buy), I figure I need to get my money's worth out of this set before I even think about the HD version (which I might consider if there is a sale with a healthy discount OR if Warners comes out with a single disc release a year form now - like they're doing with CASABLANCA in September.)
-
And I brought my evening of viewing to a conclusion with tonight's season premiere of LEVERAGE. Very enjoyable reuniting of the team on an OK caper. (Next week's promises to be better.)
Charles Martin Smith was the top billed guest star, and the fellow who played the head of the mob has been guest starring this season on RESCUE ME as the older brother of Probie Sean.

LOTS AND LOTS OF HEALTH VIBES FOR A SPEEDY SOLUTION FOR DR ELMOORE

First I want to thank DR Jose for his continued interest in the play.
I emailed the actor who I have written the play for and he reminded me that other than the one man conceit the plays are different. My main character is not on the phone all the time. He also went on to name several off broadway shows that had the same conceits and were succesful
I ha a very productive evening of writing. Some new material, some revised and some dropped.
BUT
I know, just know, that one scene which is almost five pages and is one very long monologue. It probably will be trimmed down. At the reading on Saturday I think I will know right away what needs to be fixed. But then again I might surprise myself what might work and what won't work
This is very exciting I have not had a play I wrote performed in over 15 years. I love the creative process from the writing to the readings (more writing) and then production,

You're welcome, DR Michael S. It's just always good for a playwright to know, to be aware of other writer's work - whether or not they are similar to their own.

Many vibes for DR Ginny's Brother in law!
-
I'm feeling very exhausted, so I'm going to head downstairs and go to bed.
Good night!

Page Seven Dance!!!
-
And now I'm REALLY going!
;D
-
Flipping through the cable channels I came across the old, 1970s sitcom THAT'S MY MAMA. Somehow I missed this show back in the day. I watched it tonight. After 10 minutes I realized I hadn't really missed anything.
(Although I do admit to being a fan of Clifton Davis)

Continuing vibes to DR Ginny's BIL

Yes, health vibes to Ginny's brother in law.

Always like pictures.
I did not win the lotto.
Hi to everyone.
Found a nice digital camera in all the boxes, maybe I'll learn to use it.
