Good morning. And good night.
Good morning. And good night.
Sunday morning greetings! Richard was called to Lima late yesterday afternoon for pastoral duties, so Rob and I spent the afternoon at Middfest and brought our Indonesian houseguest Alex home for a snack and to crash. I'm up early this morning, because Alex told us last night that he likes "big American breakfast." Do you think bacon, eggs, waffles, juice, coffee/tea will fill the bill?
Well it's Sunday and a work day.
So many exciting things the DR's here at HHW did yesterday.....DR JOSE to Yonkers, DR JMK's Gabe being named ambassador to the Netherlands, DR CILLA LIZ getting a new office and winning $100 worth of grocercies, MR BK finding his movie on YOU TUBE....DR MICHAEL packing for Disney World.
And all I did was work.....same today for me.
Except tonight is THE AMAZING RACE!!
Good morning, all! I slept relatively well, but my left leg is definitely causing me problems. when I go in for my flu shot, i will ask the doctor to investigate further. I think it's arthritis in my hip joint, but it's getting quite uncomfortable and giving me a bad time walking, which I do not need.
And the word of the day is: TERREPLEIN!
The series premiere of the Alex O'Laughlin medical drama THREE RIVERS is tonight. I'll bet it'll get delayed from its 9 p.m. start time by a baseball runover, but I'll try to record it nevertheless. Shouldn't be a problem since I have dropped DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES from my viewing schedule.

And now - Dino at the piano.
We'll see how the neighbors like that, they left me another note on my door Thursday night. I have to stop being angry before I post anything about it.

I think some people will be very excited about it.
The two fixes are written, the apartment vacuumed, the laundry finished, and i am ready for a nap. I have to go to Staples, photocopy the scores, and run them up to the copyist around 2 pm. Then I believe I will come back here and nap.
Do not buy or play with a Ouija Board.

The following article should probably be read after you've had your breakfast/brunch/lunch... Or maybe even before...
E. Coli Path Shows Flaws in Ground Beef Inspection (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/04/health/04meat.html)
Dr. Kenneth Petersen, an assistant administrator with the department’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, said that the department could mandate testing, but that it needed to consider the impact on companies as well as consumers. “I have to look at the entire industry, not just what is best for public health,” Dr. Petersen said.
Not sure when the official announcement will go up, but I'm thinking now sooner than later.
In that announcement about tonight's THREE RIVERS, I mentioned there might be a "baseball" runover. Of course, I meant a football runover.

CBS has allowed quite a gap between scheduled football and 60 Minutes

DR elmore that was sweet of the super's wife. Did you find out why your ceiling was collapsing?

Nope - you need sausage, homefries and toast.

In some locales, a "big breakfast" would require a meat dish like pork chops, fried chicken, or cold roast beef

There are a lot of folks around here who would want grits, too.
But I am wondering if one might be TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.
Would DAW dare walk Zach dressed like THIS (http://www.moviefone.com/celebrities/celeb-fashion-photos?photodeeplinkNum=1&icid=main|htmlws-main|dl5|link4|http%3A%2F%2Fwww.moviefone.com%2Fcelebrities%2Fceleb-fashion-photos%3FphotodeeplinkNum%3D1)?

Shoes only George would dare wear!
DR George, we just added ZOMBIELAND to our NetFlix queue. Thanks :D
I gave Penny the copy of GLEE you sent us. She was very happy to have it.

I wouldn't have thought that Zombieland would be listed on Netflix so soon. Go know.
And I'm glad Penny is able to see the episode of "Glee," too!

Then I watched THE PROPOSAL. It was mildly enjoyable. WOnderfully pleasing actors (Ryan Reynolds with the body of Zeus, Oscar Nunez and Betty White stealing every scene they were in), but there certainly wasn't much original in the premise of execution. Frankly, 27 DRESSES, which was made by the same director and got pretty bad reviews, actually had more originality than this movie.
Tony Roberts began slurring his lines during today's performance of ROYAL FAMILY and was taken to the hospital. I wonder if he had a stroke and hope he is ok.

First Andy Rooney - and THEN TAR!
Today is my TV catching up day...I also watched last Monday's "How I Met Your Mother" and "The Big Bang Theory." Now, I'm going to watch Friday's "Ghost Whisperer" and "Medium."
Excitin', ain't it??
;)

And speaking of "How I Met Your Mother"... While I was standing outside The Music Box Theater, I happened to spy Neil Patrick Harris running into the matinee of Superior Donuts right after they closed the doors. He was apparently running late - and was schwitzing accordingly. His partner, David Burtka, soon followed him into the theater.
And, yes, they both looked good. Very good. ::)

I was down in the theatre district when all of that was happening. It turns out that the reporter from The Times just happened to be walking by the theatre when the ambulance pulled up to the theater. -Thankfully(?), today there were no press in attendance - the show opens officially later this week.

The reporter got very lucky. Have you heard any follow up news?
I just filled out my last invoice for FINIAN'S RAINBOW. I may have other fixes after previews are underway, but that's it for now!
DR Jennifer I hope you enjoy FastForward as much as we have. Currently it might be Keiths favorite show.
It is nice to be able to record shows & watch them at a later date :)

I was curious about THREE RIVERS until I saw the strange tv commercial for the show which was interspersed with a rock band and a keyboard player banging away between scenes from the show. My initial reaction of what the hell quickly turned to intense loathing.

Yes, except that my DVR can build up quite a few shows to watch and can run out of room. That's not good.
I love Lucy.
LAW & ORDER had a good one, though. A master manipulator running lots of guys around in circles. Very intriguing seeing where it was going.
So far, not a stellar episode of Mad Men - more of a time passer, really, with almost none of it taking place at Sterling Cooper.

??? I certainly don't see anything spoiled in that message.
And speaking of "Mad Men"...
While I was out and about today, I stopped by the Ed Sullivan Theater to put my name in for tickets for a taping of "The Late Show with David Letterman" this week. Well, about an hour after I filled out the form, I received a call, and I will be going to tomorrow's second taping. -I was sort of hoping to attend to the first taping of the day since Lea Michele ("Glee", Spring Awakening) will be appearing, but I just checked the guest schedule for this week, and it looks like I'll be seeing the "Mad Man" himself, John Hamm. YUM! ::)

I hope you enjoy the Letterman show Jose - the last time we went I was hugely pregnant with the Vixter and the NBC usher (yes it was in the pre CBS days) took one look at my huge belly and decided that we did not need to wait in line but escorted us into the theater and the 2nd row - that evening while Dave was talking abou the guy that broke into that Waco compound while the FBI had it surrounded he pointed out Vixdad as being that guy

Then you must love Debra Messing.
She's the new Lucy, you know.
I hope people are up for the announcement, really I do. I'll get the notes posted right at midnight or a little before, and then up goes the announcement.
