Well, you've read the notes, the notes were uber, and now it is time for you to post until the uber cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: FLAGITIOUS!
-
Good Morning.
We are seeing Finian's Rainbow tonight. I'm very happy about that.
-
Wow, only 3 posts!
-
DR MattH, I just read your comments about CHUCK.
I know you've always hated the BUYMORE stuff. I sort of like it some of the time. It can get stupid. But i think the show is trying to be a spy comedy. It sounds like you wish it was a spy drama, which i don't think it will ever be. Chuck is always gonna be Chuck. And there will always be some type of issues with Chuck and Sara.
-
I can't tell if i'm excited or not, but tonight is the premiere of AMERICAN IDOL. I don't see the show being as good with Ellen. To me the paula/simon dynamic was a huge part of the show. And that simon has announced that this will probably be his last season (he is doing a new show) i think that the show will go downhill if that happens.
I think the producers are hoping he will do both shows since they will be at different times of the year. Although yesterday he announced this will be his last season.

Tuesday morning greetings! It's Mom's Moving Day and there appears to be no snow - thanks for the vibes!
-
Good morning, all! I have the McGlinnventory this morning followed by an afternoon of work here. Yesterday's meeting at Toyland was necessary and very invigorating. It was nice to see several good folk and to hear two others over the telephone, and I think it got us all revved up to accomplishing some good work for the next months. I've lost my trusty sidekick on BABES IN TOYLAND Vol. 1 and most of THE LADY OF THE SLIPPER, Tom Murray, who's gone on to be the Music Director of the LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC revival but i've acquired an equally fabulous replacement, the wonderful composer and musician Skip Kennon, who'll help me get through BABES IN TOYLAND Vol. 2 and the remainder of THE LADY OF THE SLIPPER.
DR Jose, tell Josh Grisetti I send my love. Several of his friends, including his former roommate Kasey Marino, were in last night's event, and Josh is one of my favorite performers. I will have to miss Thursday's event because of other commitments and I would love to be there to cheer for Josh and to meet his wife. Here's Josh in the center kicking up his heels in WHERE'S CHARLEY?
-
Oh, I sure wish I could be at Barnes & Noble for Thursday's event! I sent the info to our friends Doug & Jon who live just around the corner from there.
-
Good morning!
-
Moving day vibes for Dr Ginny (and mom) and DR Cillaliz.
-
DR Cilla -- I feel badly for the deer and other animal life surviving outdoors in this deep freeze and snow. They must be soooo cold and soooo hungry. It must be very hard for them to find any food in that deep snow.
-
DR elmore -- congrats to both you and Skip. Looks like you both found an excellent partner to work with.
-
For the past couple of days I've become obsessed with season one of Dexter. I've never watched that show before, but I know a lot of people like it, and a lot of DRs here have mentioned it. I decided to take advantage of Netflix's streaming watch instantly option, and season one is where I landed. Are the following seasons as interesting as the first one?

Good Morning.
We are seeing Finian's Rainbow tonight. I'm very happy about that.
I wish I were there and joining you ( to see you and the play). Please get me a Playbill and a Souvenir booklet, and I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a Playbill today! :)
-
It is not Friday yet, and it really should be!
-
A wonderful visit to the RAINBOW to DR Ben and his Anthony.
-
Jose - what is the time of the B&N event on Thursday? Is it 6pm?

Formerly deleted post.

TOD:
I love all vegi dishes.
I love all the different "saag" dishes, which is spinach and cheese and ususally some type of meat like chicken or lamb or goat.
I love home-made cream of corn.
I love plain old sauteed cabbage
Green bean casserole is another favorite.

To me they have all been interesting.
Each year there are different guest stars. But I am still blown away by the season finale this season.
-
I think I would freak out if i saw a deer in my backyard!
-
I would too, Jennifer. But then, we don't have deer out here.
-
I do not like vegetables.
-
Moving day vibes for the mother of DR GINNY.
Nice photo, DR CILLA LIZ.....wow you've got the livestock around there.
We have six squirrels this morning, but that's the best I can do.
-
There are four movies headed to DR MBARNUM.
Congrats to Kritzerland on its MMMMW sellout! Get 'em while you can!
-
I have pigeons, JRand.
-
I like vegetables. I like them roasted in the oven with some olive oil. Or sauteed. Or raw in a salad.

No, the comedy is OK. What I find is that IT'S REPETITIVE. Chuck has been flashing for three years now and has been in front of murderous bad guys for years. There should be SOME signs of growth in him as a person and as an agent.
Instead, the writers rehash the basic story over and over, and I'm just tired of it. It tickled me for a season and a half, but I've tired of the formula, and they had the wherewithall to make some changes, and they didn't.
The show's Sunday ratings were on the high end for the show (higher than its season average last year. The ratings for last night's show haven't come out yet.) I'll be interested to see how it did in its Monday slot.

Season Two is even greater if you can believe it. Season Three is good but not great. Season four and season one are equal in quality for me, but Season four has a true star guest villain - John Lithgow, and he's great.

Good morning!
25 this morning, but that was WARM compared to what we've been having. For a change, I didn't hear my heat running every time I woke up during the night.
-
Page Two Dance!!!
-
I still had a tiny bit of congestion when I woke up (cleared up at this point) so I took to the treadmill once again instead of walking. I think tomorrow I'll be able to get out and walk again in the morning. I'll be glad about that.
-
I didn't hear the UPS truck yet, so I guess SURROGATES on Blu-ray hasn't come. It doesn't matter since I still have THE SIMPSONS to finish today, but it's nice to have the work projects in hand so there's no question in my mind what I'll be working on.
-
As a kid, the only vegetables I liked were potatoes, corn, and garden peas. I could tolerate cabbage and lettuce in slaw and salads, but that was all. As I've aged, I've acquired a taste for lots of vegetables and like them served in lots of different ways. However, as I mainly prepare vegetables from frozen or canned sources (except for broccoli and asperagus which are just nasty any way except fresh), I don't have any recipes to offer. I steam veggies or heat them in the microwave and eat them without much added to them except salt and pepper.
-
Yes, AMERICAN IDOL starts up tonight, but as I've done for the last couple of years, I don't watch the audition shows at all. I begin with the Hollywood rounds. I find the audition process now tedious to watch, and the truly good singers who will eventually rise to the top will have their auditions reshown at later dates, so why watch now hoping to catch a first glimpse of some future talent? Too much excess to find the one or two gems.
-
Once again, the other networks are not lying down and playing dead opposite IDOL. CBS has its procedural lineup, NBC has THE BIGGEST LOSER, and ABC is continuing to burn off its comedies BETTER OFF TED and SCRUBS.
-
I went looking for last night's ratings (not posted yet), and found the list of semifinalists for the Best Makeup Oscar:
DISTRICT 9
THE IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSUS
NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: BATTLE OF THE SMITHSONIAN
THE ROAD
STAR TREK
THE YOUNG VICTORIA
IL DIVO
Three of these will make the finals for voting by the entire membership.
-
I have pigeons, JRand.
I think we do, too. Or doves.
-
DR JENNIFER if you are waiting for AMERICAN IDOL to go downhill.....look back - not forward.
-
I am looking forward to seeing Robert Wagner as Tony's father on NCIS tonight.
Yes, it is official - I have no life.
-
You think you have no life? I am excited that I just scheduled an appointment for an oil change.
-
My office is like an icebox! The blowers by the window have been shooting out cold air all morning. I think they are trying to freeze me out.
-
We have made our official offer on the "Blame Cilla" house. ;) Now we wait.
-
Yesterday, our listing agent for this house came and took pictures, and to my amazement, said the house looked really nice and de-cluttered. Take that, Hoarders!

Yes that's what he said TO you!

Put on your parka and mittens.

I'm awake, but really... why?

I guess I'll head down and check the mail. Then watch something before starting on preparing lunch.
WBBL.
-
Looking forward to the goodies, DR JRand.
And likewise, there are some tv shows and one Mamie Van Doren movie on their way to you (that is if I get them to the post office today).

If anybody here is into film noir, there's a new website that looks rather interesting and which could use some more members. Take a peek:

I thought last night's "Chuck" was awesome.
The character "Chuck" is...well, he's Chuck. But I totally see depth and development in the character (else I'd be done with it) and the story arcs.
They've had to tie up a bunch of loose ends from last season and set the wheels in motion for this season, and I think they've done some terrific things with the show. Am really looking forward to seeing what they do with Ryan McPartlin's "Devon" next week.
I'd love to see some of the flashes come on more quickly -- and without the crossing of Chuck's eyes. Remember how tiresome Lynda Carter became as "Wonder Woman" every time she wanted to change into her superhero alter ego. It was giggle-inducing, although I realize many people STILL love it. LOL.
"Chuck" is one of the delights of the TV season at my house. Shows I've grown weary of and dropped cold include "Grey's Anatomy" (they've exhausted me to the point of wanting to shoot my TV...especially the far-too-old Ellen Pompeo -- she's 40-plus -- and looks it -- playing a woman in her late 20s!!!)) and CSI (it had a few really great seasons, but...seen that, seen that, seen that).

Too late. Too late. The show went downhill after Season 3. The show went downhill every time the minimally talented won out over much-superior singers.
The Paula-Simon dynamic was one of a pathetic middle-aged woman being ridiculed by a ludicrous, if wealthy, sarcastic ass. Very sad.
It will not be airing in my home...ever again.

I've put on my parka. If I type with my mittens on, everyone will think I'm DR Vixmom.

I have a question for those who know from professional singers:
Have there been any contestants on American Idol who have won (or come close to winning) who are singing correctly and would have had a shot at a professional career (without the publicity of Idol)?

DR Laura, in the business, every bit helps. Certainly the publicity of being on Idol helped the singers career whether it be on the radio or on the stage. It's hard to get a foot in the door in the music industry and Idol fosters that, and some have benefited from the National exposure. Whether they could have made it without Idol? That's a great question. I'm thinking no. The only person I can think of that had any sort of professional career before Idol was Adam Lambert who was in the LA production of Wicked.
The DP has said there would be no Idol in our household this year. We'll see what happens :)

Interesting site DR DRUXY.....I bookmarked, but I haven't joined yet.

I like vegetables but i mostly steam them.
One of my favorite vegetables is turnip. I boil it in water (cut up ) for close to an hour. Then i mash it with margarine and garlic salt.
-
I also like taking potatoes and cutting them into think slices and drizzling olive oil, paprika, and garlic bits over then. Then i bake at 375F-425F for around 1 hour.

I also really like the show. I'm not sure if i'm crazy about them going forward in time. I think i would have preferred if they had just continued from the end of last season. But i agree that monday's episode was good. Especially the ending. It freaked me out (in a good way). Although then they showed a preview which sort of gave part of next week away. I'm wondering why they did that.

IMO there are contestants on American Idol who could have had shots at careers without Idol. However, I think becoming a famous singer isn't necessarily only about talent. And in that respect, Idol lets people know the singers. So they get that exposure.
I don't know that any contestant would be as popular without Idol. But i don't think people can say that Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, adam lambert... can't sing. They can sing.

Tabatha's Salon Makeover is most interesting.....although it could just be because two of my sisters were stylists at one time...and I took a semester of classes though never got a certificate.....
ANYWAY.....Tabatha Coffey is my favorite type of reality star....a professional at SOMETHING....and there is a point to the show. She is not famous because she is ON tv.....she goes into these hair salons where people deserve to have clean, professional, knowledgeable people working on them.....and tells them where they are going wrong....and a lot of them are delusional. The classless women from the Oyster Bay NY salon are perfect examples.....
-
Did the Disco Workout today.
-
DR JRand59, I love Tabitha! I have a great admiration for her skills as an analyst and business woman.
I've returned from the McGlinnventory to an apartment of problems: the water was turned off this morning while I was out and now all the toilets in the building are screwed up. I'm waiting for the plumber to return with new whatsits to correct the problem. They just finished working on the apartment below mine.
-
Cilla, I loved tho photo of the buck.

DR TCB, I loved your photo last night!

I love most vegetables, with the exception of the squah wing of the family. My favorite vegetable is the lowly potato or potatoe, if you prefer. The potatoes can be scalloped, au gratin, lyonnaise, mashed, fried, French fried, etc., etc.

Good Morning!

As for the Topic of the Day...
I'm a big fan and practitioner of roasting vegetables. Cut vegetables up, sprinkle with olive oil, salt and pepper and other spices. Place in a 375-400 degree oven until done. I'm very fond of preparing Brussels sprouts and fennel this way.
Otherwise, I really don't think I've come across a vegetable I haven't liked.
OH! And pickles - cucumbers, watermelon rind, carrots, squash, okra, beets, etc...
-
I now have heat. I don't really understand why I had to open a service ticket for our facilities area to get heat, but I guess that's how it works around here...
-
Jose - what is the time of the B&N event on Thursday? Is it 6pm?
The event starts at 7:30, doors open at 7:00, I believe.

DR JOSE it sounds like you've got some good gigs coming up.
And of course DR BEN and Ant will be in Missitucky tonight!

Was it a tribute to Desi Arnaz Sr or Jr?

I'm up - boy I really must have been uber tired from barely five hours the night before. I slept like a log and now I am quite behind and Cason will be here in twenty minutes and I've got 122 e-mails to go through.
-
Did anyone see the Raul Esparza tribute to Desi Arnaz at the 92nd St YMCA....isn't that up in your neck of the woods, DR JOSE?
I didn't make it over there the past weekend, but I heard some wonderful things about it.
Here's a brief wrap-up from the 92nd Street Y's BLOG (http://blog.92y.org/index.php/weblog/item/lyrics_lyricistsbabalu_with_lucie_desi_arnaz_priceless_performance/).

And now it's errand time.

Yay! Tuc Watkins is back on ONE LIFE TO LIFE. That will raise the humor quotient.

Tomorrow an arborist is coming to assess one of our trees.

Yay! Tuc Watkins is back on ONE LIFE TO LIFE. That will raise the humor quotient.
I read that they did not kill his character off on DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES either, so he still can make appearances on both shows.
-
And this may be the home improvement project for this year.
-
I watched last night's CASTLE while I ate lunch. Very enjoyable outing, and glad to see Beckett facing her feelings (just a bit) about CASTLE. It's obvious his feelings toward her are strong.
Good mystery, too. I solved it before the revelation, but there were just lots of great lines, especially among the two detectives who assist Beckett and Castle.
-
I got all eight remaining SIMPSONS episodes watched. I especially enjoyed a four part segment where Marge is relating stories about strong women, and then they do mini-parodies of SNOW WHITE, MACBETH, and others.
-
I only had time to skim through today's ATWT so far. Nothing of interest and nothing in the previews. I'll go through OLTL when I go back downstairs.

Some TV tidbits:
ABC has renewed MODERN FAMILY, COUGAR TOWN, and THE MIDDLE for next season, the network's first pickups for next season (from among its new shows).
CHUCK's ratings last night were virtually unchanged from Sunday night's scores, on the high end for the series for the past year (though it still ranked only fourth in the timeslot following HOUSE, THE BACHELOR, and CBS' comedies). Still, it was NBC's highest rated show of the night especially outpacing HEROES and JAY LENO.
-
Back from lunch with Cason. We got a lot done - no addressing or anything, that happens next Monday, but we had a lot of stuff to go over and got all that done. Of course, I have not written one word, so I will now clear my head and take no calls and look at no e-mails for the next two hours or so.
-
Mad World sold out this morning. If anyone missed it for some reason, I will have a few extras, so just PM me.

I know her from whatever hair show she originally competed on (was it the one with Jaclyn Smith as the host?).
I do like Tabatha (she is very spunky). But for some reason I didn't love her show the times i've seen it.
-
SURROGATES did not come today, so I guess I'll do CHE tomorrow unless it comes then.

I'm going to hop off-line and finish writing up THE SIMPSONS, and then it'll be back downstairs to see last night's CHUCK and some other fun viewing.

Conan O'Brien tells NBC to stick it (http://mediadecoder.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/01/12/conan-obrien-says-he-wont-do-tonight-show-following-leno/)...politely. ;)

We have made our official offer on the "Blame Cilla" house. ;) Now we wait.
Congrats and Good Luck...with everything!!

I only had time to skim through today's ATWT so far. Nothing of interest and nothing in the previews. I'll go through OLTL when I go back downstairs.

I will just stay silent about NBC and other networks.

I've done a little over five pages, after smoothing out yesterday's work. Interesting things keep coming back to me, so I add them in a sentence here or a sentence there - just nice little details.
-
Congratulations, Bruce, on MAD WORLD's sell-out. I know you were quite concerned. Perhaps this will add to your comfort level a bit.
-
I, too, am a lover of the lowly potato. I'm not crazy about French fries, but I like potatoes most other ways.

I did not watch SOUTHLAND when it was on NBC, but I do remember seeing Ben McKenzie in THE OC. I am curious. He is a nice looking kid, but did he ever learn to act? On THE OC is character was pretty painful to watch.

Congratulations to Skip and elmore on their new working relationship. Elmore, just imagine the sack lunches he could bring to work!

Vibes to JMK for a better home-buying experience this time.
Will you let us know what happens to La Manse?
-
Time to walk DD.
-
Jeanne, how are you feeling these days?
-
Dezi Arnez? Isn't he the guy that was married to Debra Messing?
-
Watching THE GREAT ZIEGFELD all the way through for the first time in decades. Good movie.....and so many good people doing good work.
Someone at MGM surely loved Viennese curtains and feathers.
-
Dezi Arnez? Isn't he the guy that was married to Debra Messing?
ARRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHH
-
My guess is NBC will hold O'Brien to his contract and will make him sit and wait.
What happens if they tell him they want him to move to midnight and he refuses (which is what he is saying). Under his current contract can they force him to do the show?
-
My hunch is that NBC wants Conan to quit, so that Jay can have THE TONIGHT SHOW back.

I would think that they would buy him out of his contract and let him go. They don't want that kind of animosity from a host of a talk show...there's no telling what he could say. ;)

I've done a little over six pages so far - I'll probably take a break now and do two or three more later tonight. I should be moving on to a new chapter and new year (1973) tomorrow.
-
If he bolts - he will become Leno's competition somewhere.
Strange that in my life I have seen the mighty networks become shadows of the powerhouses they once were....thanks to cable, satellite, and computer.....
-
Tomorrow is 1973? Hurray....I will be pounds lighter.
-
Back after a busy day with my Mom. Her move went as smoothly as possible - she had things pretty well-organized and the to-scale floorplan that my niece created was a huge help when the furniture was brought in. We still have some things to deal with at the old house, but she has a week to complete them so we're going to take a "break" tomorrow. She'll probably putter and unpack boxes and I'm going to stay home and take down our Christmas tree.
Thanks to all who provided patented HHW vibes - they really helped!
-
DR TCB I don't remember McKenzie's acting being troublesome on SOUTHLAND and will be glad to see it back on the schedule....but then what do I know?
I did enjoy the Russian wolfhounds in Harriett Hoctor's ballet in THE GREAT ZIEGFELD....especially when they were yawning.
-

I caught the Keenan Wynn telephone bit today whilst channel surfing. I did not stay for La Traviata. ;)

I did not stay for La Traviata. That is my alibi for the night of January 14th.

DR TCB, I had never seen Ben McKenzie before, but I think he is stupendous in SOUTHLAND.

JMK, HOME BUYING & SELLING VIBES!
-
Ginny, I’m glad the move went well. :D
-
I left work early 'cause my blood sugar was all out of whack and I felt awful. I took a nice nap and have been watching some old Kane Richmond movies and episodes of NORTHWEST PASSAGE.
I still don't feel so hot, but I have been entertained.
-
Just wait till your box arrives in the mail......all bargains.

Sam and Jeanne _ Thanks so much for watching! Very much appreciated.

Jose - You might be right, but all i need :) is a Twitter account so that I'd sit there watching the numbers on that!!! I'd never get any work done.

BK - Congrats on the MAD MAD MAD MAD sell-out!

Elmore have your apartment problems been fixed?
Congratulations on your new sidekick Skip,

TABATHA spoiler
This really seemed like it was one of the friendlier episodes in terms of things being wrong to begin with. Well, so far anyway.
-
I don't think world will stop turning if Leno gets the tonight show back and O'brian quits
There is show however where the world will stop turning but that won't happen until September

Good, then I assume he has improved. Either that or DR MBarnum is imaging what Mr. McKenzie will look like in 50 years.

I think I would freak out if i saw a deer in my backyard!
I grew up in a house that is sort of in the woods on the edge of town, so I'm used to animals around. My mother not only fed them, but named them all - Chippy Squirrel, Jenny Wren, Bambi and Babe the deer twins etc
-
G'night!
-
We have made our official offer on the "Blame Cilla" house. ;) Now we wait.
VIBES THAT BLAME CILLA IS SOON YOURS!
-
Cilla, I loved tho photo of the buck.
Thanks...just checked, they aren't here yet tonight, think it's a little early for thme to arrive

DR TCB, I enjoyed your photo last night, too

ARG! Now I have a virtual cafe on Facebook to go with my aquarium and farm...why did I do that?

I never saw the OC, but he's surrounded by pros on SOUTHLAND, and some of their expertise must have rubbed off. He holds his own with them. It a very fine police show, but I'm not interested in seeing the first seven episodes that have previously aired (even with unaired scenes). The shows are intense and gritty; I'd rather rejoin the show once the six new shows start airing.
-
Feel better vibes to DR MBarnum. ~~~~~~~~
-
When I went downstairs I plucked WONDER BOYS off the DVD shelf. I have been seeing it airing at various times on several of the Showtime channels, and knowing that I had the DVD but hadn't watched it in years, I decided tonight I wanted to see it again. Such a fun, quirky movie. Curtis Hanson directed with some flair, and Robert Downey Jr. and Tobey Maguire are a darling couple. I didn't even mind Katie Holmes in the movie. There are some really talented actors in small roles (like Philip Bosco and Kelly Bishop and Richard Thomas).
-
Then I watched the making-of documentary for EASTER PARADE since that second disc in the set was still in the other player. A good 30-minute summary on the production. Strange that they didn't mention that it was the Oscar for music scoring, the first of three in a row for Roger Edens.
-
Then I watched last night's CHUCK episode. There was the difference between night and day in last night's show and Sunday night's double feature. Entertaining and completely non-irritating. All the things I despised about Sunday's shows (the silly BuyMore characters, Chuck's preoccupation over his love for Sarah to the detriment of the mission) were missing and it made for a terrific episode.
The ending was a shock, but then the previews put that to right.
spoiler - - - -
If they had killed off Captain Awesome and retained those idiotic BuyMore guys in the cast, this was going to be the LAST episode of the show I ever watched. Now that Chuck has a kindred spirit who knows what he's up to, the show is IMMEASURABLY better with someone he can talk over his troubles with and explain his absences: in other words, someone who has his back on the home front. That's the BEST innovation they've added to the new season.
-
Then I watched tonight's NCIS episode. I guessed the ending of the mystery, but I did very much enjoy Robert Wagner's interaction with the various members of the team. And I did find it completely believable that he was Tony's father.
An entertaining episode of the show. I'll bet it scored a BIG rating tonight, even with the premiere of AMERICAN IDOL opposite it.
-
We have at least FIVE deer who regularly come into the yard for meals. We have a trough hewed out of a log which we put corn into as well as scattering some onto the ground. The does usually appear first with the youngsters, followed closely by the buck. Our deer approach anytime around 3pm and as late as after midnight. I can't get a good photo through the kitchen window though. The deer come quite close to Dixie Bell's fence and they are tentative friends - Dixie doesn't chase them and they eye her warily.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Well, SURROGATES did not appear on my doorstep today, so the plans now are to do CHE on Blu-ray tomorrow. If SURROGATES appears tomorrow morning, I'll do it instead. Once I start on CHE, I won't stop, so if SURROGATES comes at, say, 3:30 in the afternoon, it'll be held over until Thursday.
I thought I was supposed to get FAME this week, too, but there has been no trace of it or any mention that it might be on the way.

Feel Better to MBarnum~~~~~~

Guess I need to head downstairs and go to bed.
Good night!

Good Evening!
Another good class tonight. Another fun class.
:)
-
As for the whole Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien situation, well...
I just can't wait to see what the overnight ratings are for both shows tomorrow morning.
-
In other news...
Levain is no longer "cash only". They now accept Visa/MC & AmEx.

My guess is NBC will hold O'Brien to his contract and will make him sit and wait.
If that does happen, I think Conan should just come out each night and host a party for him, his guests and his audience. Open bar, light hors d'oeuvres, maybe some karaoke with the band. Just party, party, party. On NBC's dime.
-
Finished with my viewing for the evening and shall now write a couple more pages.

POSSIBLE "CHUCK" SPOILER
And if they had killed off "Captain Awesome", then that would have also probably brought an end to that Honda/Olympics series of commercials - which I really like. -I mean, they're still thousands of miles from Vancouver. ;)

Jose - You might be right, but all i need :) is a Twitter account so that I'd sit there watching the numbers on that!!! I'd never get any work done.
Fred - There are no numbers to watch on Twitter. Although, I guess you could check the click-thru stats on a bit.ly or j.mp etc. link. In any case...
You wouldn't have to interact with anyone. Just set it up in order for other people to Follow and then ReTweet each link to each new video. The Twitter account for "Five Till Curtain" is basically set up like that: http://twitter.com/5tillcurtain

I echo DR TCB's sentiments in regards to this:

?
Well, actually... ???

I'm falling asleep

Ah! Well, as long as you don't clean out all the Spam Followers, you could probably reach 1000 in about three days. ;)

My hunch is that NBC wants Conan to quit, so that Jay can have THE TONIGHT SHOW back.
I loved what Conan O'Brien said in regards to the tradition of the 11:30pm time slot for "The Tonight Show" in his statement (http://mediadecoder.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/01/12/conan-obrien-says-he-wont-do-tonight-show-following-leno/) earlier today.
*I also really loved his final apology. ;)

Interesting statement by Conan O'Brien. Thanks for the link, Jose.

Finished two more pages - so ten pages for the day. Whew! And I just started the new chapter.
-
I'm quite tired and am now listening to music.

Ah, well... From "Time Out: New York":
Ever since the January 17 closing of Finian’s Rainbow was announced, rumors have swirled of a possible transfer to keep the show alive. The problem, some said, was that the St. James Theatre was simply too large; in a smaller venue (with some trimming of the cast and orchestra to keep expenses down), the musical might thrive. There was even a rumor that Andrew Lloyd Webber might personally finance a transfer to the Neil Simon Theatre to hold the space until his own new musical, Love Never Dies, could move in later this year. But it is not to be: The cast, which had been holding out for a miracle, has been told that the transfer will not happen. (”Got the news,” wrote the supreme Terri White on Facebook tonight. “There was a chance of moving the show but it didn’t happen.”) So if you want to see this show, which has many passionate adherents, you have only until this Sunday after all."
