And talking of Cabaret
I've been listening to the 1993 studio recording of Cabaret.
DR ELMOORE orchestrated the four bonus tracks from the film: Mein Herr, Maybe This Time, Money, Money & Tiller Girls

I won't tell anyone if you don't tell anyone. ;D
And the word of the day is: VOULU!
Well all I will say is the emperor has no clothes: Rupert Murdoch is quite obviously an addle-pated, confused old man and his son is the power behind the throne.
Some sad news from Portland: Brooks Ashmanskas' father died here yesterday. Sudden heart attack. He was only 75.
Today would be dear reader ozderek's birthday. Passed away far too young.
I am on a Felix Slatkin kick. Why Maestro Slatkin should be kicking me is anyone's guess.
OMG, some great comedy on the telly right now: turn on the Murdoch hearing if you can.
Sonny boy was making his statement when Dad Rupert interrupted and sputtered out, "This is the most humble day of my life!," at which point sonny boy stared at Dad as if to say, "Shut up, you old coot!" It was a moment.
I did not go to work today. I had so much trouble getting the wheelchair out of the car last night (and that is the easy part); I just knew that I would never be able to get it in the car thsi morning.

CDs are still being packaged but everything's going out today.
Ron Ranes made the marquee display at the Marquis!

Seriously, I really hope you get some answers soon. I think we are all worried about you
JOB FINDING VIBES TO DR TD!!!!
Rehearsal last night was most excellent....although Mordred never showed up.

In 90 days Godspell returns to Broadway.

I got blamed for a lot in those days.
As for the Topic of the Day...
I haz never seen Cinerama.

Aw, DR TCB. -Couldn't you have just slept in your wheelchair in the car last night? ;)

DR TCB, how soon will you know the results of your MRI? Your situation is terrible and I want some solutions for you.
Spinal Stenosis is a condition due to narrowing in and around the spinal canal causing nerve pinching which leads to persistent back pain, pain in the buttocks, limping, lack of feeling in the lower extremities, and decreased physical activity.

Topic is simple - the most breathtaking roadshow film or films you ever saw. For me, Seven Wonders Of The World (my first Cinerama film - read about it in Benjamin Kritzer), West Side Story, The Sound Of Music and an original Todd-AO print of Oklahoma, which was mind-boggling in its clarity.
So TCB...when are you getting fixed? I just couldn't resist that one

I got the MRI results back today. I have severe spinal stenosis at L1-L2 with mild bilateral foraminal stenosis.QuoteSpinal Stenosis is a condition due to narrowing in and around the spinal canal causing nerve pinching which leads to persistent back pain, pain in the buttocks, limping, lack of feeling in the lower extremities, and decreased physical activity.
That is great news for me, because it means that all of my numbness and falling down is fixable!

That was a traumatic night. If I hadn't come to see you perform in OUR AMERICAN COUSIN, I would have never witnessed that whole tragic event.

Getting me fixed would be waste of surgical time. Age seems to have taken care of that for me.
That's good news, TCB. I hope your surgery can be set up quickly.

But what needs to be done to get you walking again? WONDERFUL NEWS IT IS FIXABLE!!! Should I also say great news it wasn't what your friend suggested?

Then you can settle the rumor: is it true that Booth aimed at you and missed? I paid him enough.
DR TCB have you been losing weight? That is good in this case even if it makes your friends think you have something worst.
Time to medicate two cats. Good grief
Good news, TCB. :)
I assume this means we can all start talking about cancer again. ;)

MS and MD run in Betsy's family. It's become much more treatable. In fact Betsy's former boss, former SOS Bill Bradbury, has MS and manages it quite well.

DR TCB good news that your back can be fixed.
Is it possible for you to ask them to call you if there are any cancellations? That is a long time to have to wait. Vibes you can get in sooner. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DR Druxy, AND.... Was it successfully treated?
I think I may just call my former surgeon and go back to him. He may not be "the miracle doctor," but I was very pleased with him. I just can't go on like this for over another month. And that would be just the first appointment, who knows how long before the surgery?
My wife's son also has stenosis, and he is handling it with a series of shots and exercise.
I was just looking to see who's been searching what on this here site recently - not much action there but I did find this written in June - I didn't know you could write something in our search engine but apparently you can. This was written the day I posted about the bad experience with the rotisserie chicken at the Hamlet - we must really be Google friendly at haineshisway.com:

Is it hereditary or coincidence? Catching it early can make a difference.

That's because John Yap keeps lousy records and miscredits everyone; I've been credited for work by Danny Troob, Ralph Burns has been credited for my work, etc. I worked on the CABARET recording while I was in LA mixing something with BK, possibly "Lost In Boston 1 & 2." I remember the work, but I am vague about the time.
John Owen Edwards scored "Maybe This Time," and I will not take credit for another's work. Don't believe everything you read.
Ditto. Some sad news from Portland: Brooks Ashmanskas' father died here yesterday. Sudden heart attack. He was only 75.
Condolences to their family. Terribly sad to hear this.
Danny Troob is an old acquaintance. Elmore, do you know how he's doing? He wrote a score to a musical called "All Bets Off" that I particularly enjoyed, especially a song called "Take Me Down" that Patti LuPone sang the demo of. I know he's done a ton of Disney work, but I haven't heard about him in ages. From yesterday

I Googled the Hamlet and that name but didn't come up with anything. The comment had no e-mail address or any way for me to respond, at least that I can see.
