As for the Topic of the Day...

I haz never seen Cinerama.

Did I misread the topic?  Was it just Cinerama films we are talking about, or all road show engagements?

I did not go to work today.  I had so much trouble getting the wheelchair out of the car last night (and that is the easy part); I just knew that I would never be able to get it in the car thsi morning.

Aw, DR TCB. -Couldn't you have just slept in your wheelchair in the car last night? ;)

And regardless of what elmore says, I did not see the road show engagement of BIRTH OF A NATION.

I knew you'd avoided theatres since Lincoln's assassination!

DR TCB, how soon will you know the results of your MRI? Your situation is terrible and I want some solutions for you.

I got the MRI results back today.  I have severe spinal stenosis at L1-L2 with mild bilateral foraminal stenosis.

Spinal Stenosis is a condition due to narrowing in and around the spinal canal causing nerve pinching which leads to persistent back pain, pain in the buttocks, limping, lack of feeling in the lower extremities, and decreased physical activity.

That is great news for me, because it means that all of my numbness and falling down is fixable!

I have never been to a road show release or seen a cinerama film.  Apparently I have not really lived ;)

Topic is simple - the most breathtaking roadshow film or films you ever saw.  For me, Seven Wonders Of The World (my first Cinerama film - read about it in Benjamin Kritzer), West Side Story, The Sound Of Music and an original Todd-AO print of Oklahoma, which was mind-boggling in its clarity.

I never saw HOW THE WEST WAS WON.  I guess The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm was impressive, but there were also a lot of it that, as a kid, I found boring.

Getting me fixed would be waste of surgical time.  Age seems to have taken care of that for me.

Then you can settle the rumor: is it true that Booth aimed at you and missed? I paid him enough.

Well, that is the one catch.  Well, maybe one of many catches.  The first appointment I can get to see "the miracle doctor" is  August 25.

It wasn't cancer that I was worried about, but rather MS.

MS and MD run in Betsy's family.  It's become much more treatable.  In fact Betsy's former boss, former SOS Bill Bradbury, has MS and manages it quite well.
