And the word of the day is: PARVENU!
My father was British but never spelled things the British way. :)
My 11:45pm bus which usually doesn't end up leaving until 12:30am, actually left at 11:46pm. And since there was no traffic on the way up, we pulled up to Penn Station at 3:30am, and I was back home on the UES at 3:45am.
:)
Good morning, all! Today we need the vibes because this day's two recording sessions will determine how we stand for the next two days: wew have too much music to record in too little time and today will determine our statuis for finishing up this week. I've been kicking and screaming for too long, but our financial man - to whom I would never offer financial, legal, or business advice since I know next to nothing - has no problems in making decisions about recording budgets and schedules without input from people who've worked in the territory for years. Both the record producer and I are concerned, but Judy says if all runs smoothly today, we're fine. Keep them vibes coming!
We had tax-free weekend on clothing purchases. Found a pair of jeans at Costco and some really nice shirts, so I can look good for all my online classes.

I don't know how purists will feel about someone having done this with a classic, but this CLOSE-UP version of The Trolley Song is really interesting to me for some reason

UES = Upper East Side in New York City.
DR Jose lives in this area now when he resides in NYC
What exactly is that close-up video? Did they blow up the original to highlight Judy? I have my micro-mini laptop and can't see well enough.
I hope you are feeling better now, TCB.

I do, thank you, Laura; but I guess I will feel a lot better tomorrow if the doctor tells me that they can save my leg. She has been pretty iffy about it up to now.

So, last Thursday when we did our drive-around in Cincinnati looking at apartment complexes, Rob misplaced his keys. He was pretty sure he had them when we left and was afraid he'd set them on the top of the car before we pulled away. We'd looked in the street up to about half a mile away to no avail and we'd searched the car as thoroughly as we could. Richard took it to our service place today and they removed the back seat and - VOILA! - there were Rob's keys! We are all greatly relieved.
Oh my goodness, TCB! I came on here because news had reached my ears that you were in the midst of some challenging times. I had no idea how challenging they had become! I know we have been remiss in getting together, but I am now off work for three weeks and would love the chance to do anything I can to help. Toby and I are at your disposal, please call if you need to!
Much love and good vibes!
Megavibes to TCB.
Sorry for being E&T again--Mom had a slight set back (her gall bladder drain fell out) that blossomed into a week long nightmare of a hospital stay. Without going into details, I can tell y'all that Mom is now back at the rehab center back on the road to getting back on her feet.
I'm back in the office after a relaxing weekend on Long Island.I thought that was you!
I waved at Deer Park when I went through on the train (both times).

There was a Chinese movie that Vixdad and I watched a while ago - darned if I can remember the name of it - but it told the same story three times from three different characters perspectives and the colors of everything changes depending on whose story it was - shades of Red of one shades of blue for another and black I beleive fir the thir s - it was very interesting
So nice to see our much missed Ann here!!

Much better, thanks. Of course it's a work day, so I'm well.

I thought the pie fight was in THE GREAT RACE? (Or in any THREE STOOGES film.)

Did they really make Judy's wig that red in the bio pic? Or is it just my monitor? I never saw ME AND MY SHADOWS.
This is my last day home from work from this MRSA stuff. I go back tomorrow, even though the Clinic doesn't actually clear me until tomorrow. This is the first day that I have been home that I don't have to go anywhere or do anything, other than to start on my sulpha drugs.
I hope you are feeling better now, TCB.

I love this song! Thanks for posting these, Fred. :D
Have we heard from Jane today?
Because no one ever reads my posts and therefore would not have seen my comment a few months ago about this, without cheating, name the one song that Lieber-Stoller wrote with Mann-Weil, and tell us why they collaborated.

Do you see her after work or will you go back to work only to leave early?

FISTS OF FURY?
Maybe - was there a scene with a million arrows flying in the air at the one guy standing in front of the castle door?
Babs' first single off the release is the incredibly sumptuous Sergio Mendes penned SO MANY STARS, certainly one of the most gorgeous songs ever and one which has an absolutely challenging ambitus.

Sounds like Keith and Jane stayed at RiverPlace.
Hey Jane, how was Portland?

Found out today I am going for a HIDA Scan. I hope this will tell me what is wrong. The biopsy results take longer.
Because of what I have I lost almost 20lbs. But I wish it would have been done it properly

This being one of the things I don't understand.
And don't try to explain it. You would waste too much time and it won't work anyway.
T.O.D.
Although I appreciate the effect that Josh Logan was striving to achieve, the color in SOUTH PACIFIC is just plain annoying to me. Had he resisted the urge to go all out with each color, and had he gone with more subtlety, he might have achieved an incredible effect.
DR Pogue, just curious: are you British? I notice you always spell words the British way, e.g., colour.

But not necessarily in order. So, I'm reading this one first before anything else.
Awaiting the arrival of Vicki, Joan, and John.I love Vicki Lewis. That woman can really make laugh. I remember one "News Radio" episode when she tried to coin the phrase "Bitch cakes." And her singing voice, which I know thanks to you, BK, is spectacular.
JULIET OF THE SPIRITS was Fellini's first color film and he is on record as stating he was pretty much playing with his new toy. :)That is what it feels like.

Or the Canadian way. That is how we spell colour. Although if I'm typing that here i would usually type color.
