DR George at the end of the Anderson show does he mention where the clothes come from?
You don't need to look now that we know the top is from Ross.
And the Mystery of Edwin Drood will be revived at Studio 54 this fall. Since I've never seen it, I have already promised Rupert I'll make the trip. I'm looking forward to it
Good morning, all! I got to bed late so I slept late, and I am fighting a headache. I have plenty of work hwere, so that's my day. I need to run to market before noon to pick up a few things, but I'll be mostly around the apartment tiday.
DR Ben, has Charlie come back to London from the war? That episode and the next couple of them are the real hearbreakers of the series.
And the word of the day is: SORORATE!

Yes, we watched the Charlie episode last night. Tears!!!
Good to see you posting, JRand. I guess all the storms blew by you.
And what a relief to see DR JRand posting this morning! The Cincinnati Enquirer has several pages of photos of the damage in southern Indiana and northern Kentucky - frightening.
I"m at the office waiting for a package to be delivered. The mailman came and said that he didn't think I"d be open so he left it at the post office. He's now going back to get it.
Also Wicked is coming here in August. I have really wanted to see this. My sister got me a ticket for my birthday. And she is getting my mom a ticket for Mother's Day.
And a Very Happy Birthday to (former??) DR Adriana Patti!! ;D
Very happy that Jrand is OK

This showed up on my Facebook page today. So true,
The sculpture with the black pants looks positively lifelike. :)
DR George, I don't kow all the details on the dvds not being relased. It was am AMC original series, so maybe that's the problem. There are plenty of hard core fans still out there. I have no doubt they would sell

It is nice of him to go back & get the package, even if it is his job to do so.

I had the misfortune to watch HANNA. This is the most awful, stupid, senseless, annoyingly daft movie I have ever seen.

The opening scene was very upsetting and turned me off of the whole movie.
I understand that the Humane Society has received my complaints about it.
My engineer just picked up a bunch of hard drives that contain three different STAGE shows that we'll be issuing - they'll all come out in a row, one a month, beginning end of April. Bacharach, Sondheim, and Lloyd Webber are the shows.

Glad to hear JR is OK. Please check on Frances when you get a chance.
I have WHERE LOVE HAS GONE in my review pile, will try to get to it this week. Just did Olive's NIJINSKY, which was pretty turgid.
DR Ben - thanks for your comments about Studio 54. We'll be in Row EE (first row of Mid-Mezzanine), aisle seats in the center section on May 22 for HARVEY. We could have sat in the last row of the front mezzanine, but those seats would have cost $50/each more and I didn't think it was worth it.

*GASP* Lloyd Webber???
I edited two scores today and spent a lot of time on Google and youtube looking at a couple of Irish sopranos with lovely voices, but neither seems to me ideal for the role I need to cast.

I received in the mail a load of grey market DVDrs of old B movies....just watched THE SCARLET HOUR starring Carol Ohmart and Tom Tryon.
Wonderful plot! Would have been a great movie for Barbara Stanwyck.
I am wondering if this might be among the Paramount B movies that BK may be doing CDs from...it certainly had some nice, dramatic music

Was going to watch THE THING THAT COULDN'T DIE, but the picture quality was horrible, no better then other grey market ones I have bought before....dang Universal, why don't you just go and release this movie...it is a classic!

truly, one of my all time favorite movies!
Thought so. Though both have beautiful voices, they sounds mature and refined. So, what is wrong with their voices? Too mature? Too trained?
Too heavy, maybe? The soprano is an 18 year-old operetta heroine, and it ought to be a light flexible voice, I'm also concerned about their English diction. Opera singers sing on the vowels, pop singers on the consonants. I need an Irish Barbara Cook or Jo sullivan.

Is this an actual revival of HARVEY, or is it a limited engagement?
I have to go to a concert at Carnegie Reciatal Hall tonight. I'd rather stay home.

It's Roundabout, DR TCB, so I'd call it a limited engagement. Jim Parsons from BIG BANG THEORY is playing Elwood P. Dowd. He's one of our TV favorites. The only other time I've seen HARVEY on stage was 1970 in Ann Arbor - the cast included James Stewart and Helen Hayes.

I'm hoping that Dean will be back this summer for another reocording. He's terrific on EILEEN, and really good here. The soprano playing Galatea has the voice I hear for the heroine, but her audition tape last year was not very good.

Ok, I've got to share what was in my package......a used piccolo I got on eBay! Our piccolo player in band may not be at the next concert, so I said if she can't be there I'd do it. Then I got out my piccolo and let's just say it was great in a 250 member marching band outside, but inside it was pretty shrill on the high notes and it was actually pretty difficult to play. So, I got a nice piccolo at a really good price. It was recommended to my by a local piccolo player as her standard go to piccolo. It came today and is in perfect shape. I'm very happy about it. Now I'm comfortable that I have the horns I need to be able to play the way I want to play. :)

I received a long e-mail this morning from my good friend who lives in Dallas, Georgia. Last night was a terrifying night for the people in that part of Georgia. At one point, the tornado was one street away from him.

I stumbled across this web site today.http://www.loveshoulddie.com/LSD/Main.html
I thought it was pretty funny, but I think I agree with the sentiment. The only song from the show that I like is "Till I Hear You Sing." And I prefer the You Tube version that is from a live perfromance by Ramin Karimloo at West End Live, rather than the one in the context of the show.

Oh instruments on eBay. Super scary... as in, so many to choose from and a lot of the times they go for a steal. Dangerous place to go :)

I haven't purchased too many books on eBooks so I might be wrong. What I've seen is that books already out in paperback are $12.99 & newer books are more. Today I looked to see what eBooks are available by Kate Furnivall (I enjoyed THE RED SCARF by her) and was surprised to find her latest book, which will be released on 3/6 is only $9.99. I'm curious if anyone has seen this type of pricing.

I agree. I can get a hardback book at goodwill for maybe two bucks and paperback for a dollar. Much as I like to read, I do not have a nook or other type of reader, even though I can download them as free app on my phone. For the price on one ebook, I can buy several and I always find something good to read. Then I can either give the book back or take it to work and put it on the share shelf.I haven't purchased too many books on eBooks so I might be wrong. I'm not familiar with Nook pricing. but I'm quite familiar now with amazon pricing. And i have noticed that a lot of new books are now $9.99. Not sure if they realized that the prices they were charging were ridiculous. I really think that $10 is the most that should be charged for an ebook. But I still find it too expensive. Because the book deposistory is selling the same books new and harcover with free shipping for maybe $11. I think ebooks should be much cheaper than what it costs to get a hardcover.
DR Danise I hope you had an exciting first day back at work. Thanks Jane but I won't go back to work until Monday.

The only reason the Humane Society did not give its seal to HANNA was because the film was filmed in Germany, outside of its aegis:

Mikey, if you didn't watch this clip
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=On1LfL3spTE&feature=relatedYou Should!
Well, I got me some Chinese food and sat down to watch 300 SPARTANS. It was an 112 minute movie which I watched in about 28 minutes...it was bad...really bad...so I fast forwarded until Barry Coe's scenes came on...watched them, then fast forwarded some more.
The only person who came away from this film not looking totally silly was Diane Baker. She was able to handle the very silly dialogue much better then the rest of the cast.
And with 300 spartans, you would think that there would be at least a few shirtless moments....but no...it was such a bad movie.
