This is a hilariously profane "sad off" between Anne Hathaway and Samuel Jackson about who has the more depressing Christmas movie.

You know what's funny?
Mary Wickes is funny.....
Leon Ames: (checking the turkey again) Emma, when will the turkey be ready?
Mary Wickes: I don't know - I've never cooked one with the oven door open before.
You know what's funny? What's that from?

I am on day two of being sick...and I am sick of it.
Yesterday I took many naps and watched many episodes of Perry Mason.
Posting now from my iPad, because the new OS is installing on my computer - pray for Rosemary's baby...
Hey, this TALE OF CINDERELLA is great! :)
Listened to the CD in the car last night. It's very nicely produced, and I found myself totally enjoying the story from the music and bits of dialogue. Now I'm all the more interested in watching the DVD, something that can't happen today, but it certainly will within the next few days.
Oh, and did I mention it is nicely orchestrated?
Thank you, DR ELMORE.
I enjoy a few of the numbers that Weiss also wrote for "First Impressions," a not-quite-fully-realized musical of "Pride & Prejudice."
And the word of the day is: CHIRALITY!
DR JOHN G that quote is from ON MOONLIGHT BAY starring Doris and Gordon..... It might be BY THE LIGHT OF THE SILVERY MOON - with the same cast....not sure.OK, it just sounded like Leon Ames and Marjorie Main in "Meet Me in St. Louis." Guess he got typecast a lot. Still, I always enjoyed him and was so delighted when he popped up decades later in "Peggy Sue Got Married ..."

Hooray! One check has arrived fromPhiladelphia. The big question is what's going on with the composer's daughter?
Love the doggie pictures. Better than dressing up kids. More fun because pets do not complain.
I think my bird would wreak bloody vengeance if anybody ever tried to dress him up. (I speak from experience.)
Check vibes for Elmore and anyone else in need.
OMG! I just read that a movie has been made out of "Les Miserables". I wonder when it will open!??!

W I D E S C R E E N now, probably.
What's Going On With the Composer's Daughter? is the title of my new Italian farce......

I got an oversized beer koozie at the recent office gift exchange. Seems rather obscene to me.
Back now on my computer...
Today is bright, sunny, not too cold, and there's no winter precip in sight (yay!!!).
Most important of all, this is my last day of Christmas Hell 2012. Last concert is tonight. This little gig has been fun, but the commute and the excessive (in my opinion) number of events (making me miss things like the East Coast Singer) have been a pain in the royal arse.
But I'm finding it fun working with high school kids. Some of them, anyway. :)
Hooray! One check has arrived from Philadelphia.

OK
Were they supposed to be gag gifts?
Just saw a holiday recipe for something called Chocolate-Malt Stump de Noel.
I just love the name. And I'd love some right now.

I just heard from her; hasn't been sent yet. She's usually speedy.

Nobody at the party considered that a gag gift. I had actually drawn three other gifts -- a battery-operated cocktail shaker, a battery-operated corkscrew and a cube speaker for your iPhone -- and all were stolen from me. So, I was the last person to get a gift, and about five or six people were really wanting the beer koozie. Go know.
Visited my doctor for the first time in a year for my annual cholesterol results which were slightly up on last year but still OK. I also handed him my blood pressure readings which were fine - in fact lower than last year (I do my own home readings).
And since my posting is sporadic these days - Good Evening
How about this? I called Fed Ex again - they told me a package was being delivered today. The lady today told me it would be delivered tomorrow because someone had called in and requested the package be held for an additional day. I told her that made no sense since the package is coming to ME and I made no such call. I wouldn't let her off the hook, so she put me on hold and then came back with this whopper - no packages that contain screeners are going anywhere until after Christmas. Apparently there are bins and bins of them and poor Fed Ex just can't handle it, complained to the "shipper" and the shipper, whose name I now have, told them it would be fine to hold them until after Christmas. Which means that not only do they hold them until then, it will then take them many days to get them to everyone. I really wonder if the studios, who spent a LOT of money doing these, knows that their representative in charge of getting them out, just effectively killed some folks chances of getting nominations. Because some people will now not be able to see them in time to nominate.

:o
Why didn't they let the USPS share in some of the deliveries!
Good evening. We're in a blizzard warning, but I don't think it's started to snow yet
Advice calls?
Here's some advice: Stay warm!

Your party works like my book group book/gift exchange. Did you offer it in trade? You can always recycle it at the exchange next year.

So tomorrow morning I have an appointment to see my ENTYou got 'em.
I have this little lump -
it is probably nothing - just a result of this sore throat that's been hanging on since SIL gave it to us for Thanksgiving but well---
considering my history Vibes would be appreciated
http://host.oddcast.com/api_misc/1083/thankyou.php?do=download&md5=d50a2bac2bda3bfb1434fe406dcbc609That's creepy. And I'm sure you meant it that way. ;)
I am surprised they didn't mention it as I came home in a foul mood - gave the Vixter an earful and stormed out to buy a present I didn't want to buy for a person I didn't want to give it to - and I was just in the perfect mood to do that chore

Well, thank YOU! I am sure I will like it regardless of your attitude.
Yeah I should have just opted out - I'm weakI wish you the best with that. Our was $15. I put in a copy of my book. Autographed, of course. Subversive.
I was all set to leave the office ON TIME when literally FIVE minutes before I was about to walk out of the door someone called and explained why thee had to be a closing TONIGHT that kept me there for another 2 hours - hence my foul mood
then I returned home and discovered that a couple of things I had asked to be done had not been done and the full wrath of MOTHER fell upon a poor defenseless soul
To me, that is taking your "work relations" too far. You already spend more time with your co-worlkers than you do your family; and now they want you to celebrate Christmas with me. No to office gift exchanges and YES to Christmas parties where you get drunk and tell off your co-workers.

OH! I like that! Ifd it was one of those where you steal the gifts that might be fun - but this one is bring something the other person will like - too much pressure for me - it feels like a test
Good grief! That "gangham style" video has been watched on YouTube almost 989 million times!!
