My Name Is Nobody is one my favorite "spaghetti" westerns. Although not directed by Sergio Leone one can see his hand in it.

I also enjoyed Terrence Hill and was always surprised that he never broke through into American films. He had the looks and the talent.

Is the Blu Ray release of My Name Is Nobody the Italian cut or the American version?  117 minutes vs 111 minutes

DR VIXMOM - this is the ION Tailgater.....it acts as a PA system, you can hook up your IPOD or MP3 player or even a CD player.  It has its own microphone and also a connection for a guitar.  It's small and powerful.  Runs on current or 12 hours on battery.  NOT a professional solution, but fine for schools and churches or dance instruction.  And I got mine on EBAY for about $90.

I have suffered through a few episodes. It's like a car wreck that you can't stop watching. My jaw drops and I think "this can't get any worse" and then it does! I am by no means a prude, but this show brings a whole new definition to Vulgar. It wasn't that good when Charlie Sheen was on but now it's sunk through the bottom of the barrel and sits at the bottom of a fetid swamp.

There's a guy here who bills himself a one-man band who uses a machine like this.  Apparently, he has recorded all his own accompaniments and then, live, he sings along or plays an instrument.  He's very popular on the senior center circuit and he was the holiday entertainment for AAUW this season.  I don't need to hear him again...

I've meant to ask this for the longest time:

Does anyone else ever log in via smartphone and have the site remember your password ... and remember it correctly?  Mine shows the asterisks, but rarely does HHW accept whatever's there as correct, and I have to reenter it manually.  But once every several times, it'll work.  Bizarre.

Long missing Jose used to log in from remote and mobile locations all the time. I don't know if he ever had his phone remember the password, though.

I'm stuck at desktops and laptops. I did try logging in with my Sony e-Reader a couple of years ago when I first got it, but it's way too klunky so I've never done it again.

Whatever qualities the show had, I think Charlie Sheen provided most of them (along with Holland Taylor and the actress who plays Berta).  Jon Cryer -- the multiple Emmy-winner for the show -- is atrocious.  His performances are pure ham, and his character is intolerably lame.

This season, the few shows I watched were vulgar in the extreme.  When you run out of good ideas,  you go for the vulgar, I guess.

I thought it was fine, too.

I assume that it stuck close to the original book.

However, there one major addition they made to the plot of the Crawford movie that made it, overall, a more effective rendition dramatically.  I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

For those who haven't seen the Crawford movie, I won't be a Spoiler and reveal it here.

We went out to a great place for breakfast, and I had food for eight.

Then we went birding a little. Saw an American bittern and some red-crested ducks and skimmers as well pelicans, an egret and plenty of herons. Seeing three or four roseate spoonbills in flight is one of the glories of God's creation.

But I don't know if any photos came out. My adapter card has died and I need to hit a Walmart to get it replaced.

Richard has gone to the Dayton 'burbs to see THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY.  I opted to stay home, because almost 3 hours of hobbits would be too much even if I felt great.

Well, there is also Gandalf, a gaggle of dwarves, Gollum, some ogres and Smaug the dragon.  Bilbo is the only hobbit in most of the story.

I made the mistake of watching a new episode of TWO AND HALF MEN last night.  Ashton Kutcher is really bad.....REALLY BAD....and they have brought in a couple of other guys - only one of whom is helping.....  Why is this show still on?

I have suffered through a few episodes. It's like a car wreck that you can't stop watching. My jaw drops and I think "this can't get any worse" and then it does! I am by no means a prude, but this show brings a whole new definition to Vulgar. It wasn't that good when Charlie Sheen was on but now it's sunk through the bottom of the barrel and sits at the bottom of a fetid swamp.

I was impressed with the young actor who has grown up on this show told people not to watch it. ;D

Then we went birding a little. Saw an American bittern and some red-crested ducks and skimmers as well pelicans, an egret and plenty of herons. Seeing three or four roseate spoonbills in flight is one of the glories of God's creation.

And I thought it has been busy in our pond.

This morning the incredibly beautiful Wood Ducks returned while there were only 3 Ring-necked Ducks.  Last we looked the Wood Ducks had gone & the Ring-necked ones were still there.

In the morning it was so foggy it looked as if there was a cloudy layer on the lens of our telescope.  The land telescope was one of the best purchases we have ever made.

We watched the HBO version of MILDRED PIERCE this week.  Great performances by Kate Winslet, Guy Peerce and the rest of the cast, but I like the Joan Crawford version better.

I like the remake very much. How often does that happen? I thought they did a great job.

Yes, I quite agree. The Crawford MILDRED PIERCE is a wonderful, powerful film. Which is why I was so surprised that I liked the remake. The remake is quite it's own thing, IMHO--not just old material with fresh actors.
