I, too, got At Long Last Love yesterday, but now I have to go buy a Blu and Ray player in order to watch it and the few other Blu and Rays I have acquired.
This decision is not going to help people who are trying to break into show business. Yes, I believe that you should pay interns "something" (it gives them more incentive), but with 1000s of people trying to enter the film/TV industry every year, internships are a gateway for a person without experience to prove their worth. Now, with this ruling, many of those opportunities are going to disappear.

That sounds like a day without sunshine. Which it is, in these parts. :-\
I'm about to grill a burger on the (covered) deck, so all is not lost.

TCB, regarding "Once Before i Go" in BOY FROM OZ, do you see there whether it was BEFORE the stunning "I Go To Rio" finale at the point they taped that.
If it's before "I Go To Rio" then he didn't break character, and it's meant to leave the crowd with a hopeful feeling that his legend/music lives on.
(best comparison for me is it's in a way like the (IMHO) very smart ending to the musical AIDA, rather than ending with despair, they add on something that sends the audience out with hope.)
Opens tonight. Much as I did not like the show, I very much liked the work of my friends Curtis Moore, Chase Brock, Peter Foley, and Andrea Grody.

I guess I should jog in a little while, then eat (not Jerry's - I may have to take a hiatus for the summer - yesterday I got there at just before noon and got the last booth and not one I like - it just gets earlier and earlier and now everyone is showing up early and filling the restaurant until two o'clock. So, either I wait until then or I eat elsewhere, where these problems don't exist until everyone sees what I am doing, at which point they will all imitate :)

Couldn't you call them on days when you want to go there, and ask them to hold you one of the booths that you like?
Love that song. It's raining here again.

Just for da heck of it:
The DD accompanied me to the last day of school today. It was great, although, he's shy. School is over for the year and what a year it was. We said goodbye to our principal team (several times in fact) and I ended up writing 5 parodies of songs for different occasions. It was a creative last couple of weeks.

Maxine Stuart, the actress underneath the bandages with the wonderful voice in the TWILIGHT ZONE "Eye of the Beholder", died at the age of 94. Excuse me if someone already noted this. I just caught up with it.
I just can't help myself!
It is just me, or does it look like this storm system is giving us all a big red middle finger?

we set a tentative date to film Jason's Jerry Herman show
The mariachi tradition is strong here, which, I guess, is unknown outside the area. Plus, he was referred to by Spanish stage name, which contributed to some of the ignorance. He's being great about it all, and the Spurs have invited him back to sing again at the next home game. That's practically unheard of here, because so many want to do sing the anthem.10-year-old San Antonio kid who sang the national anthem before the Spurs game the other night has become the center of some madness that just makes me sad:

DR Singdaw the purple cow is cute.I never saw a purple cow, I never hope to see one. But I can tell you anyhow, I'd rather see than be one!
Did anyone here ever play MYST? I bought it right after I bought my first computer. My God, the hours of sleep I lost with that game. I would be working on one of the puzzles, and next thing I know, it is three o'clock in the morning. I hadn't thought about it in years.

Tomorrow, I leave for a week at Walt Disney World. When I come back, I'm home for a week, and then I leave for So Cal to head to Disneyland and then on a Carnival Cruise to celebrate a wedding. The rest of the summer I'm working.

My best friends daughter and her boyfriend will stay with the DD. It gets them away from the their house for a while and on this side of the bay (no bridge) where they both work. They are responsible and great kids :)
I recommend Ghirardelli 72% caco (Dark Chocolate) They are excellent and also good for you.

DR Cilla did the trapper take care of the poor animals?
Whew! I called and he's on his way. I'm sure he thinks I'm a pest, but I really don't like this trapping business and want the animals to be free as soon as possible....just some place else

They never said how much she had to begin with...but if it's an automatic withdrawal by the bank itself (for instance), it wouldn't matter if she had enough in there or not. It would just go through as a withdrawal and her account would be overdrawn. :P

I can actually understand alarms NOT going off with the book, but all that money-lol
When I worked in a bank after we were married there was a department that called customers when they had an overdraft. There was a list they worked from each morning that printed out from the day before.
That was for you Johnny.... I know how you like it when I talk that way
I'm getting really tired of this. The cats get nervous which makes me nervous and that makes the cats nervous etc. Last night they woke me up over and over and over. I really need to catch this raccoon or I'm going to go totally looney

DR Jane - You asked if I make fruitcake recently. No I cant cook cakes at all.
Do you eat one every Christmas? My mother even made her own marzipan topping.
On top of the marzipan was the hard frosting that she then topped with Christmas decorations, which I do have.
BTW not that I am complaining or anything but I am still waiting for my hamburger

Apparently that doesn't work, not sure why, but pretty consistent that it doesn't. I did find another possible wildlife removal service when I checked the internet tonight. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if they will actually go in the attic and see what's up there. I think the raccoon is out for the night....so it should be quiet until about 5:00 AM when it comes back. Unless it's had babies.....
One of my FB friends just posted this recipe and for some reason it made me think that TCB would like it - could be just because of the name....
APPLE ANGEL DUMP CAKE
INGREDIENTS:
1 CAN APPLE PIE FILLING
1 BOX ANGEL FOOD CAKE MIX (DRY)
SUGAR
CINNAMON
CARAMEL (OPT)
DIRECTIONS:
MIX THE DRY ANGEL FOOD CAKE MIX WITH THE APPLE PIE FILLING, POUR INTO A GREASED 9X13 CAKE PAN, SPRINKLE WITH CINNAMON AND SUGAR.
BAKE AT 350@ FOR 20-30 MINUTES.
DO NOT OVER BAKE, CAKE IS DONE WHEN BROWNED ON TOP BUT NOT COMPLETELY SET.
( IF USING A GLASS PAN BAKE AT 325@)
REMOVE FROM OVEN AND SERVE WITH A DOLLOP OF COOL WHIP.
ALSO GREAT WITH VANILLA ICE CREAM AND CARAMEL.
TCB: I did not have to go potty or make wee-wee. I think I was impatient for my mom to snap the photo. She was always making me pose for her camera.

but who were they giving the money to? I how could they still be deducting such huge sums? If my bank account was over drawn the bank would not honor any checks or debits -
Tom, did you see the Angel "Dump" Cake recipe?
Home after an opening night. Got the last great parking space. Not is love with the play itself, although it has its moments - it goes all Pirandello or Twilight Zone at the end and that, for me, didn't work at all. Actors are fine, production is fine.
