The other thing that I just noticed was that the picture is of a silver-tone device and what I received was black. That's not a problem in itself, but when I looked at the model number of what I received, it's H710, NOT H721! I got the wrong item...and it doesn't work. If it worked, I probably wouldn't care, but it doesn't, so I do. IT'S DEFINITELY GOING BACK!

The neighbor has a strip of grass across from my house she has to mow. She didn't know and someone turned her in to the weed police. She got a notice that she had to clear it or they would and charge her for it.
And the word of the day is: UTILE!
Felt civilized.
I just saw Babs in you coffee.
I had a co-worker once who had a t-shirt made up for me: Thank you for not being perky.
She was not a "morning person." :)
~~~~~~~~~~~BREAKING NEWS~~~~~~~~~~~~
A plane crash at SFO!
Glad you're feeling better, BK
Oh - we did get our new upgraded refrigerator yesterday. It is also very nice.
Several years ago they took an old, unused railway bridge over the Hudson River up near Poughkeepsie, NY and turned it into a "linear park" for pedestrians and bicycles.
Tonight, looks like friends and I will pay our annual visit to a drive-in movie theater. We try to uphold this tradition at least once per season.
I'm back!! However, I'm back to reality and have an early rehearsal this morning. Oy.... Update to happen sometime today. Glad to be back home where I belong and everything's as if we never said goodbye
Mel Brooks has said that he wanted Dustin Hoffman to play the Leo Bloom role in The Producers. But Mrs. Mel, Ann B., got on The Graduate and got Dustin instead.
I'm up after a long and definitely necessary blessed night's sleep, the kind I've needed for a week now. Throat feels fine so far. I think I got eleven hours of sleep.
Wae-Ling Goldstein is here. We just watched "Joseph ... Dreamcoat," and now she is decorating white cupcakes with technicolor frosting.
I am tired. It is such a beautiful, hot, sunny day. But very humid.
Did a lot of exercises at the pool. Then came home and biked at the lake (not too hot there). But now I am tired.
Maybe with doing two exercise regimes a day I might actually lose some weight.
I am loving going to the outdoor pool again. IT was packed today. We went for fun swim. So I was able to exercise with a noodle.
I only swam for 45 minutes today but I did push myself and worked harder than usual.
I should return to taking a walk in the afternoons.
I was about to post this last night about my bluetooth ear piece headset, but BK cut me off. ;)QuoteThe other thing that I just noticed was that the picture is of a silver-tone device and what I received was black. Good morning, all! I am off to Toyland.
DR George, if your CD of the London cast 1776 sounds better than mine, which I downloaded from my friend Alan, could I ask you to burn me a copy?
I'll check in from Toyland.
Well, it looks like I don't have to actually send it back. A refund was already waiting for me when I checked my e-mail a couple of hours ago! I just have to find another one to buy. :)
That pastry next to the Babs cup looks quite enticing.
The lot next to us is "Pending". We saw a family walking it today. We are somewhat nervous what their plans are and if they will be nice neighbors.
I think the coffee has been photoshopped.
I am sure that getting out - even just to buy groceries - felt like true liberation! :)
Thanks, Jeanne - I am doing just great! Enjoying this extended holiday summer weekend.
No, I'm not that steady on my feet yet--with or without a head.
Yes, but very well done.
Is that me on the left? No, I'm not that steady on my feet yet--with or without a head.
RE: the fireworks discussion from yesterday
These people that set off their own fireworks, is it just for a few minutes?
I have no idea if doing your own fireworks is legal here. But I don't think it would ever occur to anybody to want to do this. Many suburbs have beautiful 20 minute fireworks displays on occasions like July 1st. And it doesn't really seem that safe to try to do this yourself.
That was easy, except for needing to find a new one.
Vibes for DR Jeanne's continued recovery.
RE: the fireworks discussion from yesterdayEvery year there are dogs that will literally break out of their house or yard and run away. Sad
DR Vixmom, Hope your mood improves. I found threatening to turn the garden hose on my neighbor really brightened my day
LOL DR Singdaw
I definitely feel a lot better.
You read that right. A drive-in theater. The closest remaining one to here, the Overlook near Poughkeepsie (where they pick their feet) and its sister the Hyde Park, are alive and well and went digital this year to prove it. That's all good news, of course, but it will be a little shocking and sad not to be able to take the traditional mid-movie stroll past the booth, where the door is usually propped open on a hot night, and pay one's respects to the marvelous old projectors, watch a changeover, and bask in the magic of it all.
Jeanne, the Kritzer songs were recorded at the time I completed each of the books. We did five songs for the first, five for the second, and then five PLUS the Kritzer originals for the final book. I'm going to upload all of them to the notes. The CDs were available at the time we sold the books online here - if you ordered one from this here site you got the CD. I'm happy to burn a copy if someone wants one. We were originally going to press up 100 of them, but it never happened.
Certainly...if I can find it again. My CDs are all completely unorganized and over the place. I'll look and listen.
WOW! I did not know that any still existed - Drive in movie theatres were such a large part of my childhood and youth... the last one on Long Island was demolished maybe 20 years ago now. There used to be three within 15 minutes of my house
Plenty still exist, but "plenty" is not what it used to be.
The last one on Long Island was the Westbury, closed and demolished around 1998, and I'm sorry I never got to it.
They're legal in DC?? I thought you had to get at least into the Carolinas to get the goodshstuff.
Evening, All!
Sorry to go missing for a couple days, but I had songs to learn for tomorrow night's Kritzerland show.
And BK isn't kidding. Kerry O'Malley's "As Long As He Needs Me" will lay you out flat! Stunning!!
Okay, no foolin' around here. Gotta get these lyrics more solid.
Have a lovely weekend, everyone.
I would love them - when I joined the books were all ready out so I bought them all at the same time and I do not have the cds although the books are all beautifully inscribed
apparetly one day of celebrating our independence wasn't enough non stop fireworks from the neighbors....
I'm watching CNN's report of the plane crash. It's so strange--there have been plane crashes several times the same day I've flown. The one in Lockerbie, Scotland, for one.
I am now somewhat ambulatory. I can walk without a cane, but not far. I get really tuckered out! The danger has passed. There were some complications, but they are behind me. I am able to go to the doctor and also buy groceries by myself--no driver/minder needed! THAT is a big milestone! I have been pretty much housebound for the past 7 weeks--arrrrghh! Thankfully, my neighbor downstairs and a couple friends have pitched in and helped.
I finally had a few hours today to clean up my mess at home.
The things I drop on any surface available when I walk in the door.
A few hours at a fast pace is what it took to put things away.
One day I will finish cleaning out the cabinets and drawers of the clutter that gets put away. :-\
The color in "Oz" in fantastic.
The color in "Oz" in fantastic.One of these days, I'll get around to seeing that. Can't believe I missed it at the movies.
The color in "Oz" in fantastic.
But how is the movie?
Well, Ann Southern has sung her last note. That's it for me. Good night, all.
George, I hope you enjoy the rest of the movie.
