Christmas Story is in rehearsal as I type this. John Bolton and Carline O'Connor are back. I can't remember if Erin Dilly played the mother last year or not, but i think she did.
Nick Adams would explain most of why the scene is not so hot. Is it just that scene or others?
VIVACIOUS LADY is a terrific little comedy.
TOD: Far too many to name. I've got that box set of CARRY ON films. Many are only intermittently funny and can often be a slog. CARRY ON, CLEO is my fav if only because of the outrageous Kenneth Williams' line (voted the funniest line ever in Britain): "Infamy, infamy, they've all got it in for me."
We watched VIVACIOUS LADY yesterday with Ginger Rogers and Jimmy Stewart.
I'd never seen it before and it was LOL during several moments.
If you have never read the novel GIANT, I would recommend it highly. It is one of my favorites. And it's great to have the movie characters' faces in mind when you read it.

The friend who posted it is planning on giving his son-to-be Herring as a middle name. (It's an old family name.) But he said that since dolphins eat herring, his wife won't be using this method. They're going for a platypus-assisted birth.
The hostess must have noticed that Richard was wearing his American Legion hat, because the owner visited our table, thanked Richard for his service, and told us we were his guests for lunch.
For the past few days I've been frequently losing my internet connection. I'm loathe to contact my ISP because when it's happened in the past they automatically assume it's something wrong my end, despite my having made no changes - they then proceed to guide me through various changes to my pc and router which ends up with everything being worse than before I called them. When I haven't contacted them, the internet connection has resumed working normally within a week - which suggests it's a problem their end. So I think I'll sit it out again until, hopefully, the connection gets back to normal.

I've never liked the Carry On films. The first and last one I went to see was Carry on Cleo and it was one of the few films I've walked out on.

I'm glad I went, and I'm mrs glad I didn't fall down anywhere!
