Today, I'm closing up my storage space and moving the stuff my wife hasn't made me toss out into our house.
I hate moving.

Lottery vibes for DR ELMORE.
Yes, the Carrie Underwood THE SOUND OF MUSIC cd is on sale today, y'all!
Good morning. Thanks for posting the videos-- the Sandy Bainum stuff is very nice!
Everyone, but 4 Guests ran away, and did not stay to play!
A lovely review for Sunday's Kritzerland show: http://www.broadwayworld.com/los-angeles/article/BWW-Reviews-A-Mirthful-Kritzerland-Christmas-III-Plays-Sterlings-20131203
No (my mom has read them all). But I did see the movie
DR Elmore and DR Jane, I am also very happy that MAJOR CRIMES is back...never imagined it would be such a good show!
I am 8 days away from my annual trek to South Carolina. I fly out the evening of Dec. 11 and return sometime on the 26th or 127th (I don't recall my travel day, but I think it's the 26th).
I'm rather looking forward to this trip, but things will have changed a bit. My cousin Dot died this past year. We had always visited her on our annual trek to Spartanburg for the laying on of flowers upon graves (grandparents/great grandparents) and she always had lunch with us at Wade's (fabulous restaurant that serves home-style food). Her daughter Karen always joined us and she has expressed interest in joining us this year if we were planning to eat at Wade's. We have set a date (the second week I'm there) for this trek/lunch.
I have decided to do no "local' decorating this season. Will be decorating my mom's tree next week, and I think that will be plenty for me. There will also be no office decorations on my part. It makes no sense to put something up, go away and then return to take it down. I can be just as festive humming Christmas carols as I can be while looking at lights.
No humbug from me....just different priorities, I guess. And I'm older and feel it.
I got my flu shot today. Seems a bit late. But this is the first day they were doing them in the same building as my library. And I didn't feel like driving to another place I did not know.
I don't mind retirement (like I had a choice), and I don't mind finally getting Medicare (after being disabled for two years); but do I have to keep getting all of the e-mails about assisted living??

Time to head to the East Side!
DR John G, I don't have the job yet. I wish the HHW vibes would work on winning me the lottery so I'd have the funding to restore and record a lot of shows on my to-do list.
I didn;t know Sheena Easton was still doing concerts. This is from a few months ago.

Send vibes and xylophones for a smooth evening's rehearsal, which I'm hoping does not become contentious.
Vibes and xylophones have been sent!
I can't keep up with everything today. We're down to the wire as to including one title in this week's release. And now we find that two other labels have suddenly joined the party this week - it's utter madness, this craziness. It used to be that after Black Friday, December was pretty much a dead month for releases - not any more. The frenzy is insane, no one can afford all this stuff or keep up with it and it's not going to be good for ANYone.
Rehearsal vibes and xylophones for BK and company! And another tinkling of the zylophones!

Tom Birkeland is the dominating Mr. Potter. And Birkeland dominates the play in the part. He turns in an excellent job of the hateful old man, one of the American Film Institutes 100 greatest villains. Its been a long time since Birkeland has graced Tacomas boards with his talents; its nice to have him back.Bravo, DR TCB!
From DR Jennifer:QuoteNo (my mom has read them all). But I did see the movie
Was it funny? The books are funny, at least until they became repetitious. I should have stopped reading before I read the 15 book.

So, it looks as though the York may present a reading of Christmas Up The Holler on December 18 or 19, if DJ and I can get a cast together. Steve McIntyre, our moonshiner Wilmer, is out on the road in the cast of ONCE so we'd have to find someone for that role, but I'm hoping we can get it together. My only stipulation is that it has to be more solid than the one we presented last time. It was a little too loose for the public to watch!.

I bought a new pair of titanium frames, progressive lenses with super high index thin lenses , polished edges and scratch resistant coating - $209.00 with tax included! At Lens Crafters - even after our AAA 30% discount I never walked away for less that $600 -

Yee and haw! Hoo and ray!
Congrats to TCB. How nice to get a glowing review.
I must admit that I was particularly eager to see Tom Birkeland, who plays the wheelchair-bound Mr. Potter, George’s nemesis and the wealthiest, crankiest man in town. Birkeland has long been one of the South Sound’s most outstanding actors, but has been on medical hiatus for a number of years. He’s lost nothing; his performance was balanced, powerful, and flawless, and easily the shining light of the play. It’s nice to see the old timers showing the young how it’s done.

Okay, must sign off now. Sleep calls. And I had a poor one last night to make up for now.

Well, it's time for me to leave work. I want to get a headphone extender for my new headphones that I use at work. I hate it when the cord is too short. :P Hopefully, Radio Shack is still open.
Be back later!
