Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of eyebrows repeatedly, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently chewing their cud and pondering eyebrows.

And the word of the day is: GUSTATORY!

Slept well, but was up pretty late and I could still use some sleep. But I must do a few things this morning, then I can nap.
Coffee!

Thursday morning greetings! Even though his alarm went off in plenty of time, Richard and I both overslept until 45 minutes before his doctor's appointment. Fortunately, the office is only about 3 blocks away.
-
Thank you to DR Vixmom for the birthday wist you left after I'd signed off last night. As for vacuuming, Richard has been known to do it, but laundry is his specialty.

Excellent news, DR JRand - Congratulations!

A most auspicious start to the day, DR Jrand63 - and hoping that this bodes well for all of us!
-
Here's hoping that DH Richard suffers no further ill effects from his bump on the noggin yesterday.
-
Oh dear, I read that last night and I think I failed to post. Best of all possible vibes for no ill effects for DH Richard!

Wow, wonderful news Jack!!!
Now, Larry needs to find a scratch-off ticket like that :D

BK, I found you notes regarding the movie posters to be very interesting.
I began collection movie memorabilia (stills, lobby cards, posters) when I was in high school in the late 70s. Back then I was able to buy a lobby card in perfect condition for ATTACK OF THE 50 FT WOMAN for just $3.00. Of course I should have bought the entire set, but who knew that title would become so hugely expensive and desirable!
I have sold off a lot of my collection in the last few years, but still have some worthy things tucked away which I might part with soon. I have thought of going to one of those auction houses as well, as they really do seem to get a good price. I won't get rich off of what I would be selling, but it would help in my downsizing and they would go to people who appreciate such things.
-
Most of what I will part with are lobby card sets and posters. My collection of June Kenney and Allison Hayes stills we be kept until the day I die, however. But I do need to write down in a will what should happen to them when that day comes.
-
Actually, should I go first, my Allison Hayes collection should and probably would go to DR JRand. I know he would love them as much as I have (although he likely has most of the same ones).
-
Thank you for the wishes for Richard. He seems fine, just ready for the breakfast he didn't have time for before his appointment.

Saw "The Book of Mormon" last night. Clever show, nice social references and theatre references. Great sets and score - actually, the score. with the exception of a few songs, is quite forgettable, but it works in the show. I understand the hype by the non-theatre person and the hype by the normal theatre-person, while it's different for each. I'm seeing it again in January, I suppose I have a month or so to let it sink in before then.

Congrats to Jrand - a beautiful way to start the day and I wish more of that kind of thing to all you dear readers. I'm up and my day started equally well, due to an e-mail telling me that one of my dreams is about to come true in 2014 - I will finally, at long last, be directing my dream show, Li'l Abner, at LACC - I'll be bringing in two or three pros and the rest will be students. I cannot wait. I believe the show date is in May, with rehearsals beginning in April.

Thanks to all for the congrats. Lots of joy spread around with the dab of money....AND an appointment for a grooming for Precious the Dog for tomorrow will take care of the rest.
MR BK that is WONDERFUL NEWS....I actually think that the satire in LI'L ABNER is even sharper now than it was more than 50 years ago....

I just spent a few minutes on YouTube browsing LI'L ABNER productions. Oh my god, does this one suffer at the hands of high schools, or what? Well, many things do, but there were some true disasters in the first group of things that came up. Oy!

I've posted this, but it was my first real musical, ever, to have any involvement in (rehearsal and pit pianist). Which isn't any particular reason to love it so, but it certainly provides a grand nostalgic hook.
Would love to be in L.A. at that time to see the production. But there are so many things I'd like to be out there for, at so many times...
But I'll keep an eye on it. I just committed to playing keyboard(s) in a HAIRSPRAY in late April / early May, so...

I bought mine back when they were all $9.00, and for some reason, it -- and about half a dozen others -- disappeared, probably while I was at school and the parents were moving around. As did a few books. There are a couple of things I should still be looking to replace, now that I think about it.
Anyway, some years later, thanks to eBay, I now have one again, and I love it because it's one of the hardbound ones which I NEVER spent the extra three bucks on as a kid! Or maybe it's just a library binding. Not sure. I'll check it out when I go downstairs. But I love it.

Mine did that last night, but I had the option to restart "now" or "later" (it's like a 15 minute snooze button). I just kept checking the "later" box, and finally when I was ready to go to bed, I checked "now" and it did its thing. Fortunately, I've always had that option.

Back from a very good performance. Christanna, Jane's cover, did a pretty amazing job given she's had one put-in rehearsal but no actual run-through with the full company. I'll just give her a few tiny notes tomorrow, but she was really good and the audience, while a bit on the quiet side, really seemed to enjoy themselves.
