Thursday - it is 2 degrees here today.  The feel like temperature is -4 degrees.

So, I guess this would be a bad time to mention that it is 65 degrees at 10:30 a.m..

It's 28 degrees here, people are taking off their coats and hats and enjoying the sunshine

I actually left my scarf at Pizza Ranch.  Didn't mean to, luckily they have it and I'll pick it up after work

Congrats to Jrand - a beautiful way to start the day and I wish more of that kind of thing to all you dear readers.  I'm up and my day started equally well, due to an e-mail telling me that one of my dreams is about to come true in 2014 - I will finally, at long last, be directing my dream show, Li'l Abner, at LACC - I'll be bringing in two or three pros and the rest will be students.  I cannot wait.  I believe the show date is in May, with rehearsals beginning in April.

OMG I just won $500 on a $5 scratch off lottery ticket - which I bought with $10 I won on a $1 ticket.

Congratulations, Jack! :D

If the cast and production are good enough, would there be any chance for a new recording?

Thanks to all for the congrats.  Lots of joy spread around with the dab of money....AND an appointment for a grooming for Precious the Dog for tomorrow will take care of the rest.

MR BK that is WONDERFUL NEWS....I actually think that the satire in LI'L ABNER is even sharper now than it was more than 50 years ago....

I just spent a few minutes on YouTube browsing LI'L ABNER productions.  Oh my god, does this one suffer at the hands of high schools, or what?  Well, many things do, but there were some true disasters in the first group of things that came up.  Oy!

Great news about Li'l Abner, bk! And if things go as they have been, you'll probably be finished writing your 2014 book by the time rehearsals start.

Been on the phone with various types about Li'l Abner.  Kay Cole will be with me as choreographer, and this evening I'll try to lock in Lloyd Cooper as MD.

Oh my. LIL ABNER was the first play I ever did in High School. Thankfully I did not have any lines.

Last night we watched my favorite Scrooge, Albert Finney.  It has been awhile and I find it funny that I completely forgot this is a musical.  I only remembered his performance.

He is actually only second best in that role.
