DITTO! -- along with some Smooth Day Vibes for DR Elmore!
Well library books and review books come before books and e-books I own, which is why I have such a problem getting to books I own. It's funny because I read so much but cannot keep up.
with a cabin available for $369.00 per person.
Back from our dress rehearsal, about which more in the notes. Then some of us went to El Cholo, which, I believe, is the oldest Mexican restaurant in LA, located about five minutes from my father's old restaurant. It was fun and the food was excellent, but I still prefer Casa Vega.
How much do you want to bet that that young lady had just been chastised for taking a call and failing to find out the prospective patients name, phone number and referral source.

Thank you DR George for the birthday wishes for my niece. My sister said that she did not want to go to sleep last night. And that she was sad this morning that her birthday was over. Both of my nieces think that birthdays are the best days of the year (they even love other people's birthdays).
Sunday morning greetings! Fr. Richard excused me from going to Lima today, because I still have relatives in the area and there will be some coming and going here at our house. Eventually, I will drive my cousin Dan to a hotel near the Cincinnati airport where he will stay tonight. He has an early flight back to Japan tomorrow and didn't want anyone to have to drive him to the airport at 4am - very considerate of him!
Tonight is the TAR Finale. Unfortunately, I don't like any of the teams in the Final Three.

That is cute and I apologize as I forget to wish her a happy birthday, which she obviously had. :)
DR elmore I'm sorry about the end of an era, but relieved for your dear brother, not the other, that the debts will be paid off.
Sometimes I wonder how you don't read more books than I do in a year. At the rate I'm going this year you might read more than I do :)
And the word of the day is: MUZZY!
I had sad news from my brother Randy this morning; my dad's 50-year-old company, Piping of Ohio, is no more. Everything was auctioned off last week, and I'm grateful that a company begun to pay for my schooling, since my Dad worried that he couldn't put me through college, supported my brothers for as long as it did. Randy wrote that the auction did very well, better than expected, and paid off all the existing debts.
I don't know what Lady M will do now, with nothing to bitch at JoAnn about.
Now, if we could only sell that Oho property!
DR ELMORE it is the end of an era.....but it sounds also like the end of the debt.
We tried ST Joseph to sell the property....maybe he should be dug up and planted the other way.
DR JENNIFER spoilers of any kind don't bother me. I've known the winner of this season's TAR since the beginning.....
Thanks, Jeanne, for asking (and other DRs, as well!). I believe that today I am starting to feel like my old self. :)

Not sure what we'll do with Abner after LACC. I have tried to contact one of the eight people who control the grand rights, to no avail. I'll now try a few of the others. I would like to lock up the rights for a first-class revival for a few months, at which point I would start meeting with people who could make that happen.
Listening to an upcoming release that I've mentioned before. Some additional work has been done on it and it truly sounds incredible and will amaze people that after over sixty years this soundtrack will finally be released.

Well, yesterday here was the first truly nice spring-like day that we've had. It was prom night for many, so like the good Uncles that we are, we trooped over to the Walker Art Museum near downtown Minneapolis to see our niece getting pre-photos taken.

I'm glad to hear it. Personally, I'd like to feel like my young self, but so would a lot of people!

As for a gift, I decided to get her a "then and now" book about Washington, DC. It shows photos from many years ago alongside photos of the same street, etc. from today.
DR JANE - I don't much mind spoilers for books either...even if I know what's coming, I like to see how the author gets there.....and that's a good mystery for me too....how will what I know is going to happen....happen?
DR Vixmom I'm not sure why you call it the " dreaded bone density". It is about the easiest test around.

Congrats to Vixter on Employee of the Month.thanks FJL!!
Congrats to Vixter on Employee of the Month.
Yes, indeed! Congratulations to DR Vixter09!!!! :)
Wonderful pictures of LI'L ABNER! It looks.......wonderful! :)
Loved the Abner pictures!
Congrats to THE VIXTER.
DR DRUXY - I saw that the book was on sale, but it seemed a bit pricey.....I am still thinking about it.
And the word of the day is: MUZZY!
RASPBERRIES!!!
Congratulations to DR The Vixter!
Congrats to The Vixter! It sounds like she has a good, fun job there, among good, fun people. Very lucky.
I think we talked about this once but it didn't sink in. It's Texas Road House, the national chain? I didn't even know it was a chain until I saw them in a couple of places. We don't have one right here, but I see they're in two places that are half an hour away, and it looks like there's one right where I'm going for that matinee today. I won't be eating there today, but I want to get to one soon.
DR Vixmom I'm not sure why you call it the " dreaded bone density". It is about the easiest test around.
It was actually "the dreaded mammogram and not dreaded bone density"
The bone density was quick and painless, I am still bruised and tender from the other
Good morning, all! I slept very late. Between all the sudden activity of this month, the madness yesterday with Verizon and door keys, not to mention the burgeoning insanity of the Man from Philadelphia who's working my last nerve this week, I'm ready for a vacation. This week, I'm thinking about my belongings out of Toyland and telling the Man from Philadelphia to lose my number. First, I have to mix ROBERTA and invoice him for the work. Something's going on with him at present and he's driving everyone mad.
Verizon tells me they cannot credit me; they know I'm owed a credit since their inventory shows that they have one more cell phone of the type I bought - since I paid for two - but they have some cockamamie reason why they simply can't issue a credit; it will destroy my phone records, so I'm going to get a reimbursement check or something. Then I'll flap my arms and fly to the moon. If there's no action on this by Friday, I will issue a dispute with my bank.
I have some work here on an old score I wrote in 1985, and then I will hopefully chill out. I have some reading to do on Franz Lehar and "The Merry Widow," for my round of notes, and then I hope to watch PHILOMENA, which I've wanted to see for months.
I like what I see of the LI'L ABNER scenery and costumes. Wish I could see it.
DR singdaw, I'm glad you are feeling better!
DR vixmom, please tell the vixter I send my congratulations!

agree - the pictures are very Dogpatchy - I think Daisy Mae needs polka dots or am I misremembering?

It did cross my mind she was supposed to ask you was calling but do say "WHERE DID YOU GET THIS NUMBER?" is a very odd question.

CONGRATS to THE VIXTER. I have no doubt that she was very deserving of this award. But it's no surprise, as we know that the Vixfamily has a very strong work ethic. I hope that she's a role model for the other workers.
I knew as soon as BK told us his concept for the sets that I'd love them. I certainly love what I see in the photos. God willing, I shall be able to see them up close and personal this week.

Most of the young men were in traditional black tie. I remember that when I went to prom, the latest thing was a pastel ruffly front (not sure what you call it, or if it even has a name?) that attached to the front of the shirt. None of those in evidence yesterday.
Thanks, DR Jeanne! We were looking forward to being in her life more as one of the benefits of moving to the midwest. But by this time next year, she'll be heading away to school somewhere else.
Congrats to the the Vixter!

My guess is the questions should have been
May I please take your name, Ma'am?
May I please take your phone number in case we need to reach you?
May I ask how you heard of our office?

Oh yes, I have your picture here on my wall
A belated happy Sunday to all,
I know I've gone missing this week. it was a very difficult one and I didn't want to bring that in here. It was simply something to be weathered. The worst is over, so all is as well as can be.
BK, I've been reading your reports on Abner. Congrats on how well things are going. I'm not certain which night I'm coming, but I will be there. It all depends on the timing of certain auditions this week.
I hope everyone has had a great week. Onward and upward. :D
DR Vixmom I reread you post and see that I missed the "not" before dreaded. I'm glad you weren't worrying about it.
Shouldn't you be READING A BOOK???
To HELL with long books that keep people from reading short books.
