~ ~ ~ SAFE TRAVEL VIBES ~ ~ ~ for you, DR Mike!!!
Travel vibes to Mike.
I've fallen behind, but expect to ketchup this weekend.
I not only missed Thursday, but I missed "Throwback Thursday".
...if she comes back this morning
Busy weekend ahead.
Working one day and one the other day I'm taking a plane and flying to that foreign country of Canada for a week
The power went off last night about 10:30 and just came back on. We were on a tornado watch.
Friday the 13th AND a full moon.
Pray for Rosemary's Baby. It's a happening day and things will happen.....combine that with the Mercury/Neptune retrograde and it's as if everything was in the Spin Cycle!
Have fun, but be careful out there.
The "temp" came in bright and early and it was non-stop introductions to people and procedures and walking her through things this desk requires on a daily basis, etc., etc. and so forth.
Nary a moment of peace for myself or my thoughts, but Boy! Howdy! was I glad to meet her and get her invested in the job.
Now....if she comes back this morning, I'll sigh in relief that I didn't scare her off.
She seems very sharp, so I'm hoping for the best.
It's a beautiful thing, DR Jrand63!!!!! :)

Fiddler on the Roof fans, here's a great read about folks who've been in the show over the years, including Liz ("Ragtime Romeo") Larsen:

Thanks for posting this! I was on that tour with Liz Larsen and Fyvush Finkel and the girls mentioned in this quote:
"Several groups of women whod played sisters had plans to catch up over dinner the next night, and Lori Ada Jaroslow and Donalyn Petrucci Shreve hoped to see Liz Larsen, their sib from the 1981 revival, in her current role in Beautiful."

That's pretty cool, Ryacko! And a nice article, John. Thanks for posting.
It's not that kind of a cup, Singdaw.

It's lovely, Jrand!

She's up and running...taking charge and control of the desk and its functions. I am moved back into my cubicle on the 6th floor.
Life is, suddenly, very good again.
TOD:
Yes, I could sure use me some TOD. Let's see...
Blu-ray:
ALL THAT HEAVEN ALLOWS (I'll at least start watching it tonight)
RED RIVER (same)
THE MECHANIC (I think I'm most interested in seeing this one straight through tonight)
What else? Got so much music (CDs and LPs) to ketchup on, I can't even begin to name them.
Audiobook and DVD:
HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY -- I love this and revisit it every few years. Listened to the book on my last car trip, and am halfway through the BBC production.

So, DR Ryacko, what stories about the tour do you have to share? About three years later was when I discovered Liz, who did a few shows at the Cohoes Music Hall. Great performer.

If you are watching the BBC DVD of HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE, I believe you are seeing my friend Simon Jones.

I am very glad it's Friday-- 13th or no 13th.
Michigan's capitol city has a Class A minor league baseball team called the Lansing Lugnuts.
Would love to see this:

The Titanic needed better lug nuts.
It is what it is DR SINGDAW.
Although I must say that adding ONE convenience to the ladies' room so that we have a total of three instead of two has had a remarkable effect on the intermission time. We used to have to wait....but the audience has been seated and ready to go in 13 or 14 minutes instead of the usual 20.....

Did that just require punching a third hole in the floor?
Back, with a bag full of lug nuts. I had to go to three stores!
Cow at baseball game....looking at home [plate]
Our DN Lauren, who's getting married next month, posted this trio of photos of the 5 Palmer cousins on Facebook today.
She asked me to come out to the driveway and look at my tire-- I apparently ran over a nail on the way home and you could hear the air escaping from the tire
