They laughed when I sat down at the piano...

I do wish our DR Aunty Jane would go and have the sleep test done. If nothing else, at least to elminate one possibility. And on the other hand, it could be a life saver!
I am channeling DR Singdaw.
Ya, DR Singdaw, I refuse not to use my CPAP machine. Waking up constantly and the resulting headache, nausea, and tiredness...no thanks!
I also am down to waking only about 1.5 to 2 times an hour.
I found another commercial - a really popular one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42JiH4NMvWI
DR JohnG, I meant to ask if you are currently using a mask or the nasal pillows. I was thinking in one of your recent posts you mentioned about possible switching to the nasal pillows.
Anyway, any tricks you have learned, please pass them on!!
I am home from physical therapy. I got into a Facebook battle with a former employer John Yap this morning. I was quite embarrassed about it, but he managed as he usually does to turn it from promoting his recordings to a personal attack.
And on a happier note, the super is here to work on the ceiling. Things seem pleasant enough. Perhaps the landlord used discretion in addressing the issue and perhaps the super needed time to cool down?
Glad to hear that DR elmore3003's repairs have commenced. It is about time!

DR Jane, I believe it is much better to have the sleeping test done at the hospital or wherever it is done in your area. I worry that you are so anxious about it, that you will never have it done.
Perhaps the landlord convinced the super that you have been quite patient about this situation.

How much does a regular person wake up every hour? Even 1 or 2 times seems like a lot.
Lately when I've gone biking around the lake the geese and their family seem to always be in odd spots. They get out of the lake and walk across the path.
Well yesterday was one of the funnier things I've seen them do. When I biked around the path the first time they were on the grass on the other side of the path (away from the water). And when I biked around again they were walking in a big line (maybe 20 of them). They were crossing the path to get to the lake. It looked so funny.

Excellent.
I haven't had RC (Royal Crown Cola, for those young and silly enough to be unaware of what the letters stand for) in many years. In fact, very likely not since my teen years. We had it in the house now and then in Florida, so, early 1960s. At some point I committed my life to Coca-Cola and never looked back.
However ... Just a few nights ago I was enjoying all the product-placement views of RC in some movie. What was it? THE MECHANIC? Not sure. Anyway, it made me really want to taste it for old time's sake. And now, BK's commercial. It must be a sign! So, as God is my witness, I will pick some up today.
Royal Crown Cola.
Very nice commercial....I remember that one, too!
... shall now think about food.
I didn't explain it very well. As Singdaw says it isn't necessarily waking up, but you stop breathing, in my case now, 1 or 2 times an hour (without the CPAP machine it would be around 10 to 15 times an hour).
Although when you start gasping for air that does often wake you up, but you are so used to it that you don't remember waking up. Anyway, you never get into a deep sleep like other people do. And I would always wake up with a headache from lack of oxygen to my brain.
I recall like RC Cola. It has been so many years since I have had it, though.
Lately I have had cravings for regular Pepsi.
The only diet drink I have ever tolerated was Tab which was Coke's answer to Diet Rite. I'm sure today I would ask for water instead of Tab.
I was able to use the King Kong vs. the Energizer Bunny in conversation at work.

Have you seen the mini cans of Pepsi? I keep those in the house and treat myself once in awhile.

The problem (to me) with the mini-cans is that they cost so much more per ounce than the regular 12 ounce cans, or certainly the 2-litre bottles...although, I never get those.

I used to love Tab when it was made with saccharine, a flavor I guess I developed a taste for as a kid. I still like Diet IBC root beer because it's made with saccharine.

Soda/Pop is just so very bad for you. If I treat myself I try not to finish even the little can. The way I see it, it is a savings to buy the smaller cans and drink it less often. Actually, until they came out with the smaller cans I never purchased it anymore and I was better off for it.
By the way:
When leaving the zoo, it's probably not a good idea to start running towards the parking lot yelling "Run For Your Lives! They're Loose!!!"
Well, it's not Wednesday Wiener night - so that would help make my decision. :)
Early in the day or early in the year?another day another 25 thunderstorm warnings
Is this the normal time for them or are they on the early?

That certainly is a consideration...not for me, but it is a consideration.
:)
Cilla, sorry about the flood damage, but I guess this was a good time to be home. Glad it's felt like a vacation just the same.

June is a big month for storms so that's not really unusual, We have them at all different times of day. Late afternoon early evening is the most common time, but they can come any time
BTW Jane, I did think about going to Pilger today. I decided not to. I did mow the yard, but other than that just went to lunch with Paul.
The super just left and my bathroom ceiling is up.

As long as they don't jump out in front of your bike they are fun to watch.
The super just left and my bathroom ceiling is up. It needs plastering and painting and that will hopefully happen on Monday. He also checked out my stove and told me he'd have management send a repairman.
I think things are okay, although inwardly he may want me made into a rug, but I'll let him finish the work and then give him a thank you gift. Until this whole thing began we got along very nicely, and i do not dislike him or his family I just wanted the work done.
On a lighter note, here is one of my TOD favorites - the old ubiquitous Milford Plaza commercial:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADZCRZlm4no
I am longing for summer storms.
And I am very happy that you are back!
former DR William F Orr and I stood across the street and watched them film the final sequence of that commercial
