And the word of the day is: TANTAMOUNT!

The roadhouse is less than a mile from here
I didn't know that churches had annual "kick-off" days much like the first day of school.
Send vibes to our DR Ann. She is in labor.

I did find out that my mother and her sister (my aunt) will be coming out from New Jersey to visit us next weekend for my birthday, which was an unexpected but very welcome surprise!
Churches don't like to talk about it, but attendance and activity really do fall off severely over the summer months.
"Kick-Off" or "Rally" Sundays signal the start of the new program year. Church schools and choirs start up again, etc., etc.
And a very happy 30,000th to DR vixmom!
DR vixmom, I loved the photo. You look fantastic.
Congratulations to DR VIXMOM on her millstone.....she was wearing a shirt with a dancing dildo on the front.....it seems.
From DR Vixmom:QuoteThe roadhouse is less than a mile from here
I would expect her to normally walk for a day shift.

She doesn't usually walk because weekdays she doesn't get out until 10 or 11 and weekends she has go straight to her second job which often is over until 10 or 11

the patented HHW vibes work yet again ! The day was glorious, sunny, warm, slight breeze, low humidity.. and what fun we had

We had a beautiful day for my father's unveiling. We must have had 60 people there and many came back to the house afterwards
Right now I'm icing my painful knee
There is a sign on Middle Country Road in Centereach that says a branch of Vixter's Steakhouse will open soon. Soon is a relative term since the sign has been there for over a year now. They cleared some of the land and posted signs saying that soon there would be a bank and the steakhouse. I'm glad we didn't wait to eat until it was built.

Health Vibes to Jeanne
I understand what you are going through because I have that same problem (oddly enough so does my mother in law)
It landed me in the hospital a couple of times where I had to be given an intravenous to slow it down, but most time it passes on its own the important thing is to try not to stress out when it happens because that usually causes the episode to extend
The hearts beats so fast and hard that my heart can be seen to be beating through my clothes a la a Tom and Jerry cartoon
I have learned to avoid any "energy" drinks, espresso drinks , anything that is highly caffeinated including many over the counter medications for allergies, cold relief etc
Also lying down in a darkened room and breathing deeply and slowly often helps to shorten the episode
Most Remiss sounds like a category in a beauty pageant.
DR MichaelShayne, I'm sorry about your knee but happy the event for your dad went well.
A very happy wedding anniversary to the lovely and talented DR Laura and her DH

Happy to hear that Vixmom had gallstones!
Thank you all for the health vibes you sent after my last post. They were much needed and much appreciated.
I guess it's time I filled you all in on what's been happening at my end. Five years ago, when I was in the midst of moving from the East Coast back to California, I began having episodes where my heart rate would go berserk. It would soar uncontrollably. By the time I could see medical personnel ("Sign in and take a seat") it would be back to normal, giving us no clues as to why this had happened. Thankfully, it was very sporadic. I saw a cardiologist and had the standard EKG and stress (treadmill) test. The cardiologist could find nothing wrong.
Last spring it got worse. We did a 48-hour Holter monitor, which indicated atrial fibrillation (Afib), an irregular heartbeat. But it was still so sporadic that only monitoring was called for. During the last few weeks I've been having new and frightening symptoms. We stepped up the testing and scheduled a consultation with a new cardiologist. Last Tuesday night I'd just gone to bed when my heart rate soared. I could get it to come down--I usually can--but it'd jump back up again. I couldn't control it. That resulted in a 911 call and my first ride in an ambulance. I spent the morning at St John's Hospital, hanging out with the ghosts of Elizabeth Taylor and Michael Jackson. It came down on its own while I was there.
I am still recovering from Tuesday night's incident. Tachycardia (elevated heart rate) is exhausting. Your heart is running a marathon while the rest of you is just being a couch potato. But I'm on the mend and starting to feel like myself again.
More testing and consultations during the coming weeks. Hopefully, no more incidents like the last two. I'm sure you'll all understand if I'm here less than usual. I'll check in when I can.
while we were away Joes Crab Shack has opened in the outlets about 1/2 mile from the Vixter's steakhouse too early to see yet if it will havea big impact but since one is primarily steak and ribs and the other seafood perhaps not
Happy to hear that Vixmom had gallstones!
Job vibes to DR Sandra!!
DR Jane should recognize this one:
Columbia River Gorge, Oregon

Today will be the final performance of Theater Artists Olympia's third annual one-act festival, "An Improbable Peck of Plays 3D." We'll have strike after the show, but it won't take long at all...we only have to clean up the theater because there's no set to speak of, just a few blocks. :)
