And the word of the day is: SKOOKUM!
DR Ginny! What a horrible change of plans your day took! It's wonderful that she's apparently all right, but what a mess. Sorry to hear that.
Better day vibes for DR GINNY!

off to the hospital to get some expensive blood tests for the thyroid and hopefully by Monday or Tuesday we will have the results
Thursday morning greetings! Remember the lovely afternoon and evening Richard and I had planned for yesterday? Well, I dropped him at his meeting and proceeded to the mall where I got only as far as the restroom when my phone rang. It was Mom's nurse telling me they'd just called 911 and Mom would be going to the hospital. Her symptoms sounded to me like a possible heart attack. I retrieved Richard and we got to the ER to find Mom chatting up the nurses. Heart attack had been ruled out, but they wanted to do a lot more tests and administer some meds that required a few hours of observation. She was finally released about 8pm and Paramedic Rob and I got her settled back in her room.
No new power chord for my iPad, no Montgomery Inn dinner, no St. Olaf Choir at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral - but we're not telling Mom about any of that...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Good Weekend Vibes to one and all! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I keep thinking today is Friday.
What a morning. I was up at five-thirty and couldn't fall back asleep due to the allergy problems. Only about three and a half hours of actual sleep. Then I had to go see Little Shop of Horrors' dress rehearsal, but as it turns out I only could stay for act one because they were giving notes and then taking a ninety minute break. I then went and had a cup of soup and a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich, picked up no mail or packages and am now home until about five.
And then they have to come to my house to make sure that I can actually use the chair.
Yes, I just feel disorganize sometimes. I was thinking about it today when I had a big stack of messages from being out sick and what I realized is I'd have the same stack of messages, I just would have paid someone to take them
~~~Thyroid Vibes for DR Mike!!~~~
Have a good evening.
I'm sorry if I sounded whiny about my plans being interrupted.
could be tempra paint in powder form, or other paint. That's what we used to do when we did snow sculpturesSome people use stuff like chocolate or coffee or things like that, but paint is the most common

Thank you, Jane, for reading my posts.

Interesting. I've never seen these in person.
It sounds like fun, especially for a child.
JRand, what's happening with the moon? Too many people are snarky and ugly and bitchy lately.
Great snow pics. I wonder how they colored the dog.
I saw a stage production of The 39 Steps a few years ago. It was really well done and a lot of fun.
Anybody planning on downloading "The Last Five Years" this weekend? Apparently, it's on iTunes.
I suppose if I should die, George might find out from some theater friends we have in common.
T.O.D.
THE FANTASTICKS
I have seen this show over a dozen times, and have been in it twice, but nothing compares to seeing it at the old Sullivan Theatre down in the Village.
