I shall now be on my way to the theater. Today's baffling bit: One of our authors, for the second time in a row, makes a post about our show, crediting just about every single person from cast to creative team without mentioning the gentleman who actually directed the show and who has worked his ASS off on it for no pay. So I finally responded and said, "Gee, ya think the show directed itself." Followed by a smiley face. Then on my own wall I made my own post about tonight's preview, called out our wonderful cast, design team, stage manager, MD and added: "I'm sure someone wrote the show but I learned of Facebook today that that's not all that important" or something like that, again followed by a smiley face. So, what does the author do? She removes her post from her wall, and shares mine, making it seem like I'm being snarky for no reason. I immediately responded and explained to everyone who's reading her wall about her removing her post and why I made the one I did. That one she's left up, but as long as my explanation stays it's fine. Sometimes it's like dealing with twelve-year-olds.
