And the word of the day is: GEMINATE!
BK, I'm happy that you got a delivery of 7-Up. I saw your post on FB, and I hope it helped your stomach..
Good morning, all..
A pretty good sleep was had in this department. But would I complain anyway, in the face of the sickness and recovery going on in the
Haineshisway.com Hospital Ward?
I am still amazed that DR vixmom did not actually crack or fracture anything in the fall. Or even in the spring. (No groaning.) But it obviously did a number with sprains and whatnot, and those things heal when they heal and there ain't no rushing it..
Yes, I need someone to play Kenneth Penmark in BAD SEED.
My Miss Fern also just dropped out, so I am also looking for a owner/teacher of an exclusive school for girls......
Good morning, all.
Vibes for all in need -- and that's some list among us.
Good morning, all! DR TCB was right the other day: HHW is turning into General Hospital. So, let's send megavibes to several DRs who are feeling puny at the moment.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Super Mega Health Vibes & Xylophones to BK, DRs DanM, TCB, vixmom, Michael Shayne, and any I've missed! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I was feeling better, but now I'm nauseous again - I HATE THIS. I think I may have to cancel out of the show tonight, but I guess I'll try to do the work sessions.
My quiet Friday has kept me hopping except for the thirty minutes I tried to nap. I'm still craving peanut butter cookies, so I ordered a batch from an amazon.com baker.

If they arrive by next Thursday, i'll save a couple for myself and take the rest to the recording sessions for PAINT YOUR WAGON on May 29 and June 1.
Opera star Cecilia Bartoli to sing the role of Maria in a concert West Side Story for Dudamel:
http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2015/05/22/cecilia-bartoli-to-sing-maria-in-west-side-story/?_r=0
She wrote in a program note that she looks forward to staging Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story,” which she described as a 20th-century masterpiece.
“The wish that Bernstein obviously expressed, that in the midst of the Broadway ensemble, the lovers’ roles, Maria and Tony, could be sung by operatic voices, opens up a wonderful new repertoire to me,’’ she wrote, “including hits like ‘Tonight,’ ‘One Hand, One Heart,’ ‘I Feel Pretty’ and ‘Somewhere.’ ”
I had chicken strips and sliced tomatoes DR ELMORE.....it was pretty good.

I am told that my hard drive is dying. Since it is, OF COURSE, the start of a holiday weekend, I won't be able to take my Macbook into the shop until Tuesday. I'm hoping it lasts until then and will try not to tax it. I was promised a one-day turnaround, which is MUCH better than what I would have gotten at the other computer repair shop. For the last repair I tried a come-to-your-house repair guy, but I wasn't happy with him. So far I like this new place.
Can you add my Macbook to the vibe list for those ailing? :)

Wasn't that the film about the bombing of Pearl Harbor?
Gathering items to add to my gluten-free carrot cake. At least those were delivered. I already have the mix and the organic carrots which I will clean and shred myself. May be good, may not, but it's an experiment. In any event, I will learn.
Thank God, my upstairs dummy just left until later tonight. If only he'd move away (cf. DR Jeanne's NNs).

;D
My MacBook and I send vibes to DR Jeanne and her MacBook!
Cannot make up my mind about the show tonight.
Cannot make up my mind about the show tonight.
I'd vote no. You'll get better faster if you stay in and rest. This must have left you weak.

Stay in, BK. You are not well, and you need to recover. If this continues, get yourself to an ER.
I wanted to thank all of you who over the last week have sent me healthy vibes, good wishes, and positive prayers for my surgery yesterday. Other than taking an extra hour and a half, everything went well. The eye shield I have to wear at night disappeared somewehre around five this morning. It either fell behind the head of the bed, or I ate it. I see the doctor again in a couple of hours, hopefully I can obtain another shield (or two).
Taking Tylenol on an empty stomach is not good for your liver.....it is said.....since a higher concentration of the Tylenol will metabolize in that organ.
Nice treasures DR DAN M.

I was nauseous, then not, then nauseous, then not. I'm really on the fence about seeing the show tonight.

I think that is with excessive use and worse fot those who srink a lot of alcohol.

Yes, on my Nook. I did share a strong Margareta with Keith but it has only relaxed me a little. My problem is really my nook.Taking Tylenol on an empty stomach is not good for your liver.....it is said.....since a higher concentration of the Tylenol will metabolize in that organ.

On the way to dinner we were rear ended. Sigh.
Curling up with a video of "An Evening with Fred Astaire," the TV special he did once upon a time with Barrie Chase. Fifteen minutes into it and, well, he's charming, dances with an ease that's making me green with envy, and he's got great musical taste.
The car isn't too bad but only a little damage means the bumper will likely need to be replaced.
We both had mild headaches and my back hurts. No tylenol for me tonight.
To answer Jeanne' question, yes the surgeon implanted a lens to replace the cataract.

Hot toddy, perhaps? :D
But I am glad you are OK, Jane.

Bummer. Maybe the bumper needs a margarita, too.
I feel like I could use one.

DR TCB, are you feeling better and getting any sight in that eye?
Were you totally out for the surgery? I can't imagine fingers in my eye. That's why I've never been successful with contacts. Glasses for me.

Thank you. We felt bad for the young woman who hit us. She was shaking and very upset. Keith told her not to worry about it, that is why we have insurance.

No, you aren't out or they couldn't use the laser. You are pretty stoned, so you are only partly aware. There was no pain, but you can feel pressure on your eye. The whole thing only lasts about ten or fifteen minutes.

My charming doctor was very unhappy that I wanted a second eye shield. His comment was, "Well it didn't leave your bedroom."
How he knows that, I have no idea.

Sorry, Dan, I missed the first question. Most of the time I can see much better. Everything looks more vivid, the edges sharper. I don't know if that makes sense. But sometimes it feels like I am using a dirty contact lens. Just a little bit. The doctor says it will improve over the next week or so.

DR TCB, I hope you heal really, really fast! I'm glad your sight is returning.
Good night, Chas. Good night, Dan.

Nick was pretty tired this morning.
My fingers are working better but I still have no strength in my right arm and the bone aches terribly from shoulder to elbow. Any I turn my wrist it hurts like the dickens
the weird thing is I never came out in a single bruise which is odd as when I simply bump up against something I normally bruise very easily
On the way to dinner we were rear ended. Sigh.
Are you both okay?
I think so thank you. We were stopped at a light and the other car wasn't going too fast. We didn't see it coming of course.
In the end I went to the show. I'd been in bed for almost forty hours straight and I'd about had it. I got through the show fine - after, I said I thought having food poisoning may have been preferable to seeing the show. After, I went out with a few folks and I was weak that I decided to chance food, so I had a cup of soup and a sandwich. So far it's okay, but do pray for Rosemary's Baby. Notes to write.
