Providing the discs are delivered in time for it to happen today, I'll be E&T this evening, driving a few towns over to watch the new 1776 Blu-ray on my friend's projection system.
I can't believe it, but I always looked forward to this and recited the whole thing along with it:

Thank you DR George and 'm sorry about your tv. Finding a replacement as good as the plasma will be difficult.
DR GEORGE I am also sorry to hear about your television.....
Don't replace it until after June 11 if you can wait......any major purchase during the Mercury retrograde (which ends that day) can be troublesome......
Retrograde periods are notorious for missed communications, electronic malfunctions, and general mayhem.....
Those are a bunch of great video finds, Dan M!
I am a fan:
And speaking of fans,

Thanks for all the dental vibes. I was there for four hours. Yes, the dentist was running late. His first patient was half an hour late and that got everything off to a late start. Then he learned that his wife was rear-ended and he was trying to deal with that, all while handling several complicated dental cases. I must say he multi-tasks very well and stayed calm throughout.
I had two old mercury amalgam fillings that I've been wanting removed for several years, but other, more-pressing issues kept coming up. I also wanted them removed properly, not just drilled out the way it used to be done. This dentist has all the latest equipment and is trained in safe mercury removal. (He's the second dentist I've met who has developed mercury toxicity due to his dental practice.) That meant that both he and his assistant wore respirators (they look like gas masks), there was oxygen flowing into the room throughout the drilling, I had on an oxygen mask, and there was a plastic piece in my mouth to help seal out mercury particles and vapor. All this may seem like overkill, but there is a growing number of dentists and patients who think it's the better approach.
NEW TV VIBES to DR GEORGE!
You'd be surprised how much you can watch on your computer. I know it's not the same as a big screen, but it works.

Thank goodness that is over for you. Good to know that he's not the nervous type. It's bad enough to be at the dentist, no matter how nice they may be, but having Don Knotts hovering over you with a tooth drill is not a pleasant thought.

George is only 11 away from 50,000.
Hw should we commemorate this millstone?

But since I'm leaving work now, the momentous moment will have to wait.
Be back later! ;)

I am now the proud owner of two new porcelain onlays. That may be TMI, I know.

But the last couple times a dentist--a different dentist--has dumbed me I felt completely wiped out afterwards.

I'm afraid to ask how they do that...
Mercury retrograde sure does weird stuff. I haven't confirmed this yet, but from all I've seen and rumors I've heard and the fact I haven't been contacted, all signs point to my oncologist having left the University of Arizona, which would be sad if true. But not entirely surprising since Banner Health took over the University of Arizona Health System, including the hospital and treatment centers I go to. There have been nudgings to make some doctors leave. Some are jumping over to the "other" hospital in the city. The U of A had been run as a non-profit. With Banner, it's now a for-profit hybrid or something, and as with business takeovers, I'm sure there's lots of brooms sweeping through the corridors.

Back from watching 1776, which looks and sounds superb.
That millstone is rolling down the path.

DR ChasSmith, I'm happy to hear about 1776 which had been my tradition to watch over the Fourth of July holiday. I've sort of affixed certain movies to times of the year. Obviously 1776 for July 4. SEVEN DAYS IN MAY during the first week of May. The original PLANET OF THE APES and its first sequel with James Franciscus I've always liked at the end of May/beginning of June. I think that's when they would be broadcast by ABC for the 4:30 movie. There are also other movies that I can't watch at certain times of the year. But, I can watch Christmas movies any time of the year. Just because.
DR George might your sister have an extra tv you can borrow for awhile?
No, she doesn't...but I can watch TV up in my bedroom and use my tablet for Internet, so I'm not completely deprived. ;)

With a book and lyrics by George Haimsohn and Robin Miller, music by Jim Wise, and music supervision and vocal and dance arrangements by Emmy Award winner Rob Berman (http://www.playbillvault.com/Person/Detail/1080), Dames at Sea is described as "a tap-happy gem of a show that celebrates the golden era of movie musicals with dazzling dames and a heart as big as the ocean! Ruby steps off a bus in Manhattan, and into her first Broadway show, but hours before the opening night curtain is to rise, the cast learns their theater is being demolished, so it is 'all hands on deck' to find a stage to put on the show."
“This is a triple-threat American musical comedy with a funny, witty book and a wonderfully tuneful score. It's the first time in New York that Dames at Sea will be heard with an orchestra, and the show will have more dancing than ever before with all new dance and vocal arrangements by Rob Berman," said director/choreographer [Randy] Skinner, "and the Helen Hayes Theatre is the perfect fit for our show."
Congratulations to George on crossing the 50,000 post milestone.
