I don't know who Van Dean is.
I am shocked DR ELMORE.....somebody must actually read the emails and listen to the messages......
Thanks for the info.
Good morning, all! I am on pills and needles today wondering if Office depot will show up and cart away their mess.
I slept well last night. i've been rereading the book about the stage designs of William and Jean Eckart, which is full of stupid errors by the author, who should knew better as a theatre person: orchestrator William Russell Bennett, actor Robert Roundsville are the two big clinkers. Still, the book is gorgeous to look at, and the Eckarts' comments are both informed and entertaining. So, i read far too long last night and as a consequence slept in.

Does the book mention the McNay Museum here in San Antonio? It has a collection of Eckart designs. They even staged a revue if songs from musicals that the couple worked on. Sadly, the organizers were too enamored of Maggie Flynn.
So, knock me over. Office depot just arrived and carted away the damaged table.
Fed Ex just arrived! The packages are off to Ohio, and all is apparently good at 202 west 82!

Ditto on the safe travel vibes!
So, DR Ginny, did you encounter anyone from the Packard Humanities Institute?
I keep thinking you're talking about Packard cars!
Ask BK Day:
Bruce, have you decided if you're going to audition for that play?

DR Elmore, I think they had an exhibit at ALA, but I won't know for sure until FedEx delivers my big box o' swag. I included in that shipment the 350-page program book with the exhibit directory in the back.
I do remember seeing a nice Packard appreciation wall at Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Nice!
Rain? It's not even February.
The book is now out of print so I'm glad I purchased it new.

What is that THING on her face?
Glad to hear things worked out today, DR elmore!

OK.
Just don't call you Shirley?
Gee, um, nice black stage floor there, DR Jrand64. It adds so much! :D
Yes, I react to stings. I swear like a sailor.

ASK BK DAY
If beef stroganoff is your cooking specialty, why don't you serve that at the Christmas Eve Do?
Dear BK,
Have you ever been stung by a wasp?
A Question for BK:
In your notes today (and previously), you use the term "put-together," where two or more songs are "put together" to make one longer piece. I'm curious. Is that actually different than a "medley," or are they essentially the same thing and you just like to use that term?
:)
Ages ago, when I lived in upstate New York, I was driving home from work one day when a wasp flew into the car and up my pants leg. It did sting me. Hurt like the Dickens.
My dad said to moisten some tobacco and place it over the sting. The tobacco would draw out the poison, he said. I don't know if that's entirely what it did, but it was awfully less painful in a few minutes' time.
Pays to have a dad who has chewed tobacco, I guess.
DR Jrand64 - for that costume dress that didn't work out, you should use this: made entirely out of Pokemon cards!

Is "has chewed tobacco" the right conjugation of that verb?
Should it be "has chawed"? Or "has chawed up"?

Not easy to make it for more than four - so I've never done that. Maybe I had a dinner party of six once, but to go beyond that would require way too much work.
TCB, how are you doing? How's your new eye?
They also have delicious ice cream.

I had a pprotein drink made with non-fat milk and fruit plus pumpkin bread with chocolate chips.
I received specialized training today on how certain aspects of the Affordable Care Act pertain to American Indians and Alaskan Natives.
It was interesting. And, they fed us lunch!
AND, a group performed authentic Native American songs for us!
Yes, I react to stings. I swear like a sailor.LOL and OUCH.
I keep wondering why with all the shark attacks on the coast of the Carolinas why are people still going in the water?
I'm amazed at how quickly Jane & Keith's condo came together. I used to have to wait several months to obtain the contractors I wanted.

Why would you put pumpkin bread into a protein shake? Why didn't you just eat it?
The little video is fine - I HATE the way I look - I really need proper lighting, makeup, and I need to always set the shot so I'm happy with it - but other than that, it's fine.
Still, neither owner is willing or able to carry an owner's contract. And the banks and credit unions won't touch it.
DR TCB haveyou considered renting instead of buying?
I'm watching last week's season premiere of "Suits." There certainly was a lot of anger and angst in this episode.
I did watch the pilot episode of GRACE & FRANKIE.i may watch more dpisodes.
Just to watch Martin sheen and Sam Waterston as lovers is fun.I did watch the pilot episode of GRACE & FRANKIE.i may watch more dpisodes.
I still haven't taken the time to watch that, but I will...eventually.
