Around 8:00 I will head for the bus. My appointment with an orthopedist is at 9:30, and I like to be early. I hope with the holiday traffic that it isn't grisly getting there. Then I will head to City Center to visit with Joshie before I head home.
My life would have been very different if I'd stuck to my vow to go "anywhere but Ohio" for my first job out of grad school.
Fascinating topic of the day. It's fun to think about. Of the choices that were under my control, what comes to mind is had I gone to a different out-of-town law school in a different town, or even a different coast, it would have meant a whole different path in life.
Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone!
So, here's an Irish song from the University College Dublin. This chorus was the basis of the chorus for my recording of DEAREST ENEMY in 2012.

Lovely notes today! Most enjoyable.
TOD: Most interesting.....but I have to believe that I have made right choices. Most of them have been relationship based rather than career based....so we go on.

I know! Who knows what my life would be like if I had actually gotten my teaching degree and become a choir teacher. My ENTIRE life would've been different. For the better or worse? I don't know, but definitely different.
Note to self: Never go far from home ob March 17. The trip to 23rd Street was fine. The trip from 23rd and Sixth Avenue yo 55th Street around 10:00 took an hour because of parade traffic and all the people dressed in green, many of whom were drunk. When I left City Center at 12:45, I decided to take the 104 bis hom e on 8th Avenue. I waited 45 minutes for the damned bus to arrive because of traffic backups.
I am home and really pissed: you'd think after how many effen years of this parade, the MYA and NYPD could have some plans about the traffic mess.
Sounds encouraging. Vibes he is right!!!!
Content is good DR Ron.
Good medical news DR ELMORE.

Amen.
I liked my orthopedist Dr. Manaqibwala, who thought my problems could be resolved with therapy and anti-inflammatory drugs, possibly injections, and were not bad enough for a hip replacement. I was fine with that.
It's almost cherry blossom time! The peak blooming days are supposed to be March 23 and 24. I haven't been down to see them in 5 years, I think.
More ups and downs with the weather. It was in the 70's yesterday and will be in the low 40's Sunday, with a little snow possible.
I need this. DR Vixmom certainly needs it, but then her posts would not be nearly as much fun ;D

I regret that I did not buy a house back in the early1980s. I had a staple job at ups and was certainly able to afford the Psyments on a $45,000 mortgage A year later that house increased in value from. $50,000 to $150,0000 as Long Island home prices skyrocketed
With that small a mortgage I could have afforded to stay home with the Vixter instead of working full time as did grew up
Really my biggest regret is that I have doing so much of my life at the office
Or alternately I wish. I had not allowed myself to be talked out of a going to college to be a teacher .... Again because I would have had ore time with my family...

Good evening. I have been out camping in the desert and then in the woods.
Where is dear reader Laura? I sure see her on Facebook but not so much here.
TOD: I have often wondered about a few moves I've made throughout my life.
One revolves around what my life might have been had I not been forced into the military by the draft. Add to that the fact that I joined the Navy prior to my reporting for an induction physical. The Army was drafting me. I flunked the physical, but the Navy decided it would have me anyway.
Another concerns my retirement from the Navy. What would my life be like if I had returned to South Carolina upon retirement rather than driving to Oakland.
It helps to catch up on the posts before you start asking questions.
Speaking of reading, even with not sleeping ladst night I am way behind and need to read a few books.
TCB, yep, your order came through fine.

I tried watching GREY'S ANATOMY a couple of times.
And yet I am hooked on three of the strangest weekly series.
THE FLASH, ARROW, and GRIMM.
No George this evening?
Perhaps he went to see THE LAST NIGHT OF BALLYHOO.
Nope, I guess George is paying bills this evening
Perhaps he went to see THE LAST NIGHT OF BALLYHOO.
Not yet. I really want to, though. I looked online this afternoon and tickets were still available.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Larry Drake, who earned back-to-back Emmy Awards for his sensitive portrayal of mentally challenged character Benny Stulwicz in "L.A. Law," has died. He was 66.
Drake's body was found Thursday in his Los Angeles-area home by a friend, said Charles Edward Pogue, himself a longtime friend and collaborator of Drake's.
The cause of death was not immediately known. The heavyset actor had suffered from health issues related to his weight, said Steven Siebert, Drake's manager for 30 years....

Tonight was pay-what-you-can night.
I'm still watching "How to Get Away with Murder," but it's starting to get a little over-the-top for me. We'll see how long I last with it.
Oh, no...Emmy-winning 'L.A. Law' actor Larry Drake dies at 66 (http://my.xfinity.com/articles/entertainment/20160318/US--Obit-Larry.Drake/). :(QuoteLOS ANGELES (AP) — Larry Drake, who earned back-to-back Emmy Awards for his sensitive portrayal of mentally challenged character Benny Stulwicz in "L.A. I wish you could explain to me what I saw in the last two minutes tonight. And that is the end of the season.

I'm about four episodes behind, so I have no idea what happened tonight, other than it's not the end of the season. According to IMDb, it doesn't end until April 21 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0413573/episodes?season=12).
I was talking about HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, not GREY'S ANATOMY.

My post was not responding to Jane's post of 10 seconds prior, but rather to my posts regarding George.
