And the word of the day is: WHIGMALEERIE!
Possible topic: have you ever been in a theater when an illness or accident took place, either onstage or in the audience?
(or have we done that one before?)

I saw a play once. It was a comedy. One of the actors was a bit "off" during one scene...and it ended with him sending a blast of vomit across the stage floor.
Curtains, everyone! He recovered and continued into the next act. A light smattering of applause accompanied his entrance. Fewer patrons, however, were there to experience his recovery.

Okay, that's it. The contest is closed. We have a winner.

The evening sounds incredible, even with the sundried little tiny blips you mentioned. Congrats, BK!!!
In my second grade Christmas pageant, one of my classmates vomited, forcing us to spread out in our little fold-up wooden chairs. It was a new church with nigh perfect acoustics. Don't know which was worse, the echo of his puking or the clatter of our chairs.

My name was in the program several time, including the "about your director" bio - but nowhere was a directed by credit as there should have been.

For me, it would have been the smell, followed by the sympathy retching of lookers-on.
Last night they called me to tell me that I won the raffle. I never win anything.

What did you win? The chance to understudy Mary?

No, I won a little over $4,000.00
Had a very stressful 15 hours.
Last night I came home with dinner with friends and when I came back to the apartment I am staying in the key broke off in the lock and I couldn't get in.
Fortunately the people who own the apartment also have a guest house. I called the emergency number for the guest house and someone met me there. They put me up in one of their rooms and called a locksmith in the morning.
It was a very stressful night and I didn't sleep well. The locksmith didn't come until late morning and most of my day was wasted and couldn't go to Cambridge as I wanted to.

Are you paying for this apartment? I hope they do something very nice to make up for your loss of sleep and time.
Off to see Jason Gould's mother perform tonight in concert. I hear she's very good.

:D
(I must confess that I missed the actual moment last night, but I felt it was a milestone significant enough to justify modifying the image to recreate the moment.) ;)
Congrats to TCB on his raffle winnings!
I couldn't be happier for you.
But what is a 50/50 raffle?
Today I visited one of those WE BUY GOLD stores. I brought in the gold from the two gold crowns I recently had replaced. Four tiny bits of gold = $22, about what I thought it would be. Not even close to what the new crowns cost me, but it did buy lunch. :)
(I use a rebate credit card at the dentist and the points bought me a DVD.)

Thank you, George! I hadn't noticed.
Good evening.
I'll have some fun photos and videos in the notes. I really don't feel like jogging - it's over 100 out, but I feel I must.
Tonight we went to the new Costco in town. There was only one problem. It's not finished. So, it certainly wasn't open.
We NYC-centric DRs need to get together for lunchEON soon.
And a Very Happy Birthday to DR Vixmom!! :D
DR VIXMON,Thank you Jane!

Dear vixmom: May I wish you the happiest of birthdays?
Back from an extraordinary lunch and afternoon, about which more later. Had I not been so exhausted writing the notes at one in the morning I would have included vixmom's birthday wishes - I shall now add them
Happiest of Birthdays to our beloved VIXMOM!
May you have a wonderful day!
Congrats to TCB on his raffle winnings!

I will tell you that as Hayley and I were walking to our cars, arms around each other, she said she'd be back in October and that we must have dinner. I think so!

And I even had an adult beverage
Something called the Jamaican Cowboy
But in my case, charity begins at home.
Went to Gelson's for some snacks. For lunch I had what was a very small Cobb salad dressed with red wine vinaigrette and very little of that - so very low cal and that's all I had. The deli at Gelson's was absurd - a twenty minute wait at 8:15, mostly thanks to only two workers and two entitled Studio City twerps ordering everything under the sun and plenty of it. One of them finally looked like they were done but the little entitled kiddies needed corn dogs and chicken tenders.
And how did you really feel about your fellow shoppers?
Nicky seems to be feeling a little better today.
He is eating better, too.
